97 The Wedding

She closed her eyes and enjoyed her bath for almost one hour. Haoran was very kind and thoughtful, Emma thought, thanking her lucky stars.

She noticed how this marble bathtub was ma.s.sive. It could easily fit two people. Tomorrow, when they took a bath together, it would still be as comfortable as now when she was alone.

BADUMP!

Instantly Emma opened her eyes, and she felt her cheeks become warm. Why did she think about such a thing?

Gosh ... Has she also turned into a pervert like Haoran?

'Ugh ... it's all because of you, Haoran,' Emma grumbled.

'Why because of me? What did I do?' Haoran asked in puzzlement.

Emma suddenly remembered that Haoran was in the study, working with his laptop, yet she could communicate with him as if they were in the same room.

She furrowed her brows. She didn't know she could use her telemancy in such distance.

In her heart, she wondered what kind of ability a trained telemancer was capable of performing.

Ah, it's a shame that her mother isn't here. Emma wanted to ask a lot of things to Arreya. Her mother was the only telemancer she knew, and Arreya could surely teach Emma how to train her abilities.

Besides reading minds and influencing others, what can a telemancer really do?

This made Emma wonder.

'No, it's nothing. You can go back to work,' Emma told Haoran.

Her lips smiled as she imagined Haoran's face. Ah, time flies so fast. It was only yesterday that she had knocked him down when Haoran was touching her shoulder in the schoolyard on her first day in school. Suddenly, they will get married tomorrow!

Emma finished her bath after she felt completely relaxed and happy. She then washed up and dried herself. She chose to wear the silk pajama she got from the airline, dried her hair briefly with a hairdryer, and went out of the bathroom to get ready to sleep.

"Eh .. you're here? I thought you are still in the study." Emma was surprised to see Haoran already in bed. The young man sat with his back leaning on the headboard while fiddling with the laptop on his lap. "Since when were you here?"

Haoran raised his face and smiled. "About fifteen minutes ago. I took a shower in the other bathroom and got ready to sleep, but then I decided to wait for you. So I took my laptop and continued my work here. How was the bath?"

"It was very nice. Thank you." Emma said with a big smile. She looked very relaxed. Slowly her mouth opened wide and yawned. "Gosh ... I'm so sleepy."

Haoran immediately put his laptop on the bedside table and pulled the duvet to make room for Emma. He patted the side next to him, giving Emma a signal to join him in bed.

"Let's rest. Today was quite tiring," he said.

Emma nodded. She took off her slippers and climbed into bed, next to Haoran. The young man immediately laid his body on the bed and pulled Emma into his arms.

"Ahh .. I've been waiting for you a long time ago. I'm already sleepy," said the young man in a cheerful voice. Haoran kissed Emma on the forehead and immediately closed his eyes. He did not want to linger for fear that he would be overcome by desire and could not stop himself from pouncing on the girl.

His mother's message still rang in his mind. Emma must not be sore and in pain. Tomorrow was their big day! They will get married.

Ahh .. he can't wait!

Emma was very sleepy. When she snuggled and found comfort in Haoran's embrace, she immediately closed her eyes. Not long after, both had fallen asleep happily.

Haoran checked himself in front of the mirror and carefully fixed his tie. His every movement fascinated Emma. The girl realized that she had never seen Haoran in a suit before. That young man looked very handsome today, more than usual.

Haoran, who felt Emma was gawking at him, winked at her. The girl also looked so much prettier than usual. Haoran had called a makeup artist who did a great job giving Emma a natural but very charming look.

Emma's hair was flowing down to her waist, and she decorated it with beautiful pearl hairpin on her head, It was a gift from Haoran. She wore a light blue dress that fell to her ankles and was covered with a cream-colored leather coat on the outside. In this look, Emma seemed a little older than 18.

"Are you ready?" Haoran asked after he finished wearing his tie and took his cellphone from the table. Emma nodded. She reached out her hand to Haoran, and the young man immediately welcomed her warmly. They walked holding hands out of the suite.

When the two of them got out of the elevator and walked through the lobby, almost everyone in there turned their heads.

Ahh... what a charming couple, they thought.

Many were wondering who were these two young people. Unfortunately, they couldn't see Haoran and Emma for too long because they both had walked briskly out of the lobby to the luxury car waiting for them in front of the entrance.

Haoran and Emma arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau at noon. Haoran's mother and her maid had been waiting for them in the lobby in elegant outfits. Haoran's mother hugged and kissed the two alternately. She almost shed tears but tried hard to hold back because she did not want to ruin her son's big day with tears.

They did not wait long, immediately went inside to register their marriage. The process took place very quickly and efficiently. Half an hour later, Haoran and Emma were holding their marriage certificate with beaming faces.

Ahhh .. fortunately, Haoran was a quick thinker and immediately took care of their marriage in Shanghai. Later, when they arrived in Singapore, they no longer needed to be bothered by this. Besides, it was really nice to have Haoran's mother attend their wedding since she was the only parent they respected and loved on earth.

"Mother, you will come with us to our hotel for lunch and chat, right?" Haoran asked his mother after they left the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Haoran's mother nodded. "Of course, Honey."

The four of them left for the hotel together. Upon arrival in their suite, Haoran immediately took out a bottle of champagne from the minibar and opened it to celebrate their wedding day. Emma got four champagne gla.s.ses for them and poured them drinks.

"Cheers for the newlyweds. I hope you will be happy until you both grow old and gray together," said Mrs. Haoran while making a toast to the happy couple.

"Thank you, Mother," Haoran and Emma said in unison.

The waiters arrived shortly after and brought food for them, and all four enjoyed lunch with champagne while chatting warmly.

At 4 pm, Ms. Haoran finally decided to leave. Even though she still missed her child, she was aware that the young couple needed privacy.

"It's almost dark. The weather is getting cold too. I will go home now, okay. You don't need to rush to visit me again. Take your time and enjoy your big day. I'll be happy if you could just stop by before returning to Singapore," said Mrs. Haoran, smiling broadly. She grabbed her son's arm and spoke earnestly. "You take good care of Emma."

"Will do, Mother," Haoran nodded.

"Be careful on your way, Mother," Emma said.

Haoran and Emma send off Haoran's mother and her a.s.sistant to the elevator. After the two guests entered, and the elevator door closed, both immediately returned to the suite.

As soon as Haoran closed the door behind them, he and Emma stood in the living room, staring at each other.

"Uhmm ... do you want to rest?" Haoran asked in a hoa.r.s.e voice.

His hand touched Emma's hand and squeezed it gently.

Emma suddenly felt her heart beating faster. Haoran slowly walked and closed the gap between them.

His eyes stared at Emma lovingly as he touched her cheeks.

Then, he tilted his head down a little and kissed her on the lips.
