Chapter 5: The Scabbard and the Sword

"Are you happy?"

—"Why's that?"

"I never have seen you smile ever since.

You always granting them a favor with nothing in exchange. Why did you overtired yourself?"

—"Tohsaka."

Shirou stops a moment.

"I like you."

As she heard Shirou Emiya have said, Rin halts from walking.

"Huh?"

Shirou turns around and found Rin get fl.u.s.tered. He thought Rin might get upset upon him just why he suddenly change his words.

"No Rin, that's not what you think. What I mean is, I like how you are concern for me."

Rin Tohsaka then turned against him.

"Idiot."

Shirou still looking at her.

"I didn't thought that someone like you... got me company."

—"I guess, we will be parted at this point. My house is heading this way."

It's where the intersection they stopped and Shirou bids farewell to Rin.

Several steps away, Shirou pa.s.s through the house of Matous. He saw the dark color of the house. As if like a haunted house.

"Sakura could live here?"

There's an old bald man walking at the front yard and he looks creepy. Shirou continue walking until he arrived at his house.

He rest his tired body on the bed.

"Tohsaka." He recalls the events how he started liking Rin.

Suddenly, he saw the light just got turned on at the store room. Shirou stood up and went to store room if there was a man inside. When he got there, he found an old man just before he got knocked out. When he woke up, he found himself lying on the ground at the center of the Ritual Circle.

He tried to raise his hand but it seems like the gravity pulls his body on the ground.

"Who are you? Why are you doing this?"

The old bald man came out from the shadows and took a steps towards Shirou.

"Calm down, young lad. I just want to take something out from you."

He put his hand on Shirou's chest and pull something out of his heart. When something got pulled, its like his heart got pulled with it.

"Aaaahhhh!!" Shirou cried in pain but there's no voice came out of his mouth.

Meanwhile at Tohsakas...

"Ugh!"

(Archer) "What is happening?"

Archer suddenly felt so painful like someone stabbing him in the chest.

Lying on her Bed, Rin suddenly woke up when someone knocks at the door. When she opens the door, she found Archer in terrible state.

"Master Rin, your friend is in danger. We have to go back."

Rin felt something strange on Archer. As its like he gets weaker and gradually disappearing.

"Archer. What's wrong?"

—"There's a little time left. We have to save him before it's too late."

Rin ponders about the action of Archer. His body is like vanishing gradually.

Archer put his hand on Rin's Shoulder and they both teleported at Shirou's Yard.

"What just happened?"

—"I teleported you here. The place of your friend.

Trace On!"

Blades appeared floating in the Mid-air and strikes the Shadow lurking inside the Storehouse.

The Shadow disappeared when the blades reached the target.

"They're gone. We're late. Rin, quickly! Save him!"

Rin run towards the storeroom and he found Shirou lying lifeless on the ground."

"Oh No! Emiya! Please don't die on me!"

Rin took a pendant she wears and chanted a spell.

"Why did this have to happen?"

When Rin finished casting a Magic, Rin got collapsed.

Archer caught her when she's about to fall on the ground.

"Thank you, Tohsaka."

Archer then chants a ritual spell. There's a familiar Sword he is holding.

"Lady of the lake, We need your help. Please hear."

The Sword lightens as the Ritual mark on the ground were to be filled with Mana.

At the other dimension, atop the mountain of graves, there's a lady in full-plated armor kneeling, as she holds a sword thrusting the ground. The sky opened, and the light stroke her, as she gets summoned at the other World.

Brilliant Dusts appeared at the top of the Ritual mark. Dusts bond together as it gradually turning into a person.

A lady with Green hair appeared. She wears a see-through garment. Then, an image of a blonde man wearing a full-plated armor enveloped her body. Her green hair turns blonde and her see-through garment were covered by full-plated armor with a blue inner dress and blue pants.

"Are you my Master?" The lady in armor fixed her eyes towards Archer.

"That young lad. Protect him. Serve him with your life."

As the conversation ended, Archer then departs with unconscious Rin.

At Tohsaka Mansion...

Archer put down Rin on her Bed. He covers her half body with a blanket. As he kissed Rin on her cheek.

"Thank you, Rin."

(Archer)" I promise, I will save your sister."

Meanwhile... At Matous Residence.

Inside the Bas.e.m.e.nt...

"We successfully got the Scabbard on our hands, Master."

The Old Bald Man took the Scabbard from the hands of a.s.sa.s.sin. At the center of the Ritual Seal, is a thing covered with crestworms. The Crestworms gradually leaving and uncover the thing. The thing appeared to be the Naked Girl sitting on the ground. The Crestworms returned to the old man's body. The Old man walk towards the Naked Girl. The Naked Girl appears to be Sakura. The Old man is Zouken Matou.

"The time has come."

Zouken released the Scabbard pointing towards Sakura. Sakura's body levitates as the Scabbard flew towards her body. It stabbed into her chest and gradually enters her body. Little void creatures went out of her body.

'The Old Man started to chant a spell.'

As Zouken started to chant a spell, those void creatures dances.

(Sakura) 'Oneesan...'

The apparition of a black horse came out of Sakura's body. Then a man wearing a glooming black armor appeared riding the horse.

(Zouken) ' It seems that I have failed. Anyways, she was summoned on the previous war.'

" King of the Round Table. Welcome."

The knight get down on his horse and took off his metal helm. He had blonde hair and a distinguished big mark on his right eye. He carries a huge Sword at his back. Noticeably, after he wore off his helm, he looked at the surroundings and began convulsing.

"You! Who the h.e.l.l are you?! What did you do to me?!"

Zouken began to laugh drastically.

"Avenger. You did a remarkable job."

The dark aura began to succ.u.mb his whole body disappeared suddenly.

Meanwhile... Somewhere at the West region. Inside a Cathedral, an old Cardinal wearing a white long garment. He has long white hair and a long beard, is sitting at the altar. A white haired Nun approached her and said;

"The Masters are complete, my Reverence. The War is about to begin."

(??) "I felt his presence. There might be a disaster again. Zouken... What will you do?"

The Moon shines brighter outside... The First Night Ends.
