Chapter 377 - The Tonight Show

"Shit~! That bitch must have known about Aron, and she purposely didn't tell me!"

Watching Shadow from above the valley, Ragnar couldn't help but shake his head and said to himself, "I was expecting that he already knew and just wanted to train himself. Sadly, it seems that Her Majesty had truly tricked him, what a poor human"

Then he suddenly shivered from head to toe, "Ohhh~, just remembering the horrors when I also got tricked by Her Majesty is already making me shake in my boots"

"Anyway, I should leave this place as this isn't my territory anymore. Human, you should take care of yourself from here on out, not every beast would be scared of that Jade Rabbit accompanying you"

Saying those words like he was talking to Shadow himself, Ragnar disappeared in a flash.

Below the cliff, Shadow is leaning on the cliff wall and eating a meat jerky with his hands along with Aron, who's eating his own food in a wooden bowl.

After eating the meat jerkies, Shadow stood up and washed his hands on the small pond before taking a map from [Storage] and studied it.

An action that would make anyone wonder why he's using a map that an NPC gave him instead of the [System Map] that records and updates itself with every new map that a player acquires.

"This option for the [System Map] is really awesome~! It makes immersion even better, like you're really in an adventure with a treasure map in your hands!" Shadow laughed while looking at the multiple mixes of dots of color red, blue and green on the map.

Red, being obviously hostile, Blue for allies, and Green is himself.

"I just need to reach this place" Shadow mumbled to himself while his finger was pointing over a large mouth opening that would allow him to leave this place and reach the other side..

"But that place has the most monsters, which is a problem. Chakram on the other hand had already used up all of his dynamites and needed time to collect the required materials for crafting them which would take some time" Shadow was biting on his fingernail while looking at the map spread on the ground as he sat down along the bank of the pond.

Shadow doesn't want to just rely at Aron's race trait that could scare off even the most powerful monsters around here, but he's that kind of person that wouldn't place all of his eggs in one basket.

After all, there's no such thing as an absolute apex predator, even apex predators could die from their prey if they are careless.

And seeing that there's no other path other than one where it's a hotbed for monsters lurking around, he could only fold his map back and threw it inside his [Storage] in frustration, before he took off his clothes and entered the pond that reaches all the way to his waist.

"Haa~ this feeling is even better than a bathtub at home. I wonder why?" Shadow released a breath of satisfaction as he slowly soaked his body until his head was the only thing visible in the water, while Arodan also jumped in the pond and started swimming around.

"Aron~!"

Shadow opened his [Friend List] as he wanted to talk to someone, but then he saw that everyone was offline except for Sanguine Rose, Dylan's sister.

But he didn't contact her though and instead closed the tab as he started mulling over things.

'Was it really worth coming all the way here? I missed a lot of things because of this sh*t, and thankfully, Snow Village is doing well without me thanks to the members of Flame Rose Guild that decided to make the village their resurrection point and become Pioneers of the new map'

'After I'm done with this, I need to open up a road leading outside of Everwinter so I can at least slightly improve the village economy to allow players and merchants alike to find out about a path leading to a village inside Everwinter, a forbidden land because of its cruel climate. By then, I can do whatever I want without worrying about my territory'

"Anyway, enough rest" said Shadow as he stood up and left the pond before he quickly got dressed with his equipment.

"Buddy, let's go!"

Shadow laughed, and resumed his journey with Aron following after him.

The next day.

Michael only had a two hour sleep as he had been busy in the game last night, and woke up around seven o'clock in the morning.

After washing up and getting changed into comfortable casual clothes, Michael went down to the lobby and towards the dining area to have some quick breakfast before heading out.

Walking into the dining area, a female staff member quickly walked over to him and respectfully said with a smile, "Hello, sir. Good morning!"

"Good morning" replied Michael with a bright smile on his face, clearly in a good mood
