ROAR

I charge towards the injured Orange blood before he can become accustomed to his injury. With one of his front legs gone he is crawling around on the ground in pain. I clamp my teeth around his other front leg and bite, it felt like when I tried to eat one of Master's blades. NO, must bite through.

I clamp with as much might as possible and try to roll with it. Orange blood rolls with me as we sc.r.a.pe along the sidewalk, his screaming rings out next to my ears. I feel his leg start to give and put all my strength into yanking my head back and roll in the opposite direction. The sound of tendons and ligaments tearing fills my ears and Orange bloods roar intensifies.

I spit out his limb, the coppery taste of his blood lingers and sends my thirst for battle soaring. I bash Orange blood with my tail, landing a solid hit along his spine. He tries to run away but with only his back legs left he is constantly landing face first into the asphalt, scratching his face and stomach. The blood flowing from his missing limbs causes the sidewalk to be dyed red.

I laugh at his pitiful attempts, forgetting all about my fear from before. I quickly walk over and step on his back to prevent him from moving any farther. He starts to beg for mercy.

"Please little one, let Orange go. Orange never harmed you."

I laugh at his attempt to gain my sympathy.

"The survival of the fittest. You should know that law well Orange blood. If not for your injury I'm sure you would have had no problem killing me. Now just behave and allow your energy to grant me power."

His screams out in fear as he watches me open my jaw and bite down on his head. Tearing his head from his body took a bit of effort with his screams filling my ears the entire time. Finally with a final chomp I'm able to swallow his head.

I roar out with all my emotions. From fear to hatred, bloodl.u.s.t, anger, and finally the feeling of being victorious. I finally earned my name right.

Excited at my victory I can't help but start to eat the body and drink the blood. I can feel the energy start to flow from my stomach to the rest of my body. Afterwards The energy causes me to become very sleepy. I can't seem to keep my eyes open. I try to walk towards home but my legs feel like they are filled with lead. My eyes start to close and my vision fades.

Yawn.

So tired.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz

(Max POV)

Looking down at the sleeping gator that seems to be going through a change, I can't help but sigh.

"Dumba.s.s, why go to sleep in the middle of the street. What if something that wanted to eat you showed up. Huh, at least he killed that cat. Good job."

I pick up the little green body and start to carry him home.

(Hunter POV)

Looking at the large green egg, I smile looking at Max.

"Yours? Congrats to the wonderful mother."

"Screw you. It's your egg. Meet your pet Victor."

Frost grabs my hand to get my attention.

"He's right big brother, the egg smells like little brother. He seems to need more of your blood."

Dammit, dam blood suckers. Sigh, whatever. Not like I haven't done it before. I cut my palm and place it against the egg for a minute while I feel my blood being absorbed. The feeling never gets less unnerving.

The egg sits quietly and Frost grabs it from Max.

"Thanks Max, he probably would have gotten scrambled without you."

"No problem. Do you know why he was out there?"

"Probably wanted to bully some weaker creatures."

"Sounds like something a gator would do."

"Does that count as being racist?"

"Huh? Maybe a little."

We laugh and Max goes to do some reports. I eat some dinner with the rest of the squad until it's finally night. I kiss the girls goodnight. The twins want to come with me but I simple pat their heads and make sure they understood that they weren't allowed because I didn't want to harm them by accident.

Frost kissed my cheek and wished me luck and Ca.s.sandra also wished me luck. With that out of the way I make my way downstairs and into the bas.e.m.e.nt. Opening up the armory I see the cage in the corner that was put in for prisoners but now will stop me from rampaging.

I sit down on the floor and open up the cooler with the tire 1 hearts. They give off an alluring scent that caused my mouth to water. I set my system to automatically upgrade one system after another until they are all tier 1. With all my preparation done I move on to the final part. Taking the three hearts out I get ready to eat them.

I hesitated for a moment before thinking about the scene with my girls snuggled together on my bed. I would do anything for them and to get the power to protect them I would go through h.e.l.l never mind the first full tier up. My last thought before biting into the hearts was FOR MY WOMEN.

The energy quickly started to course through my veins, muscles, and organs. With pain that seemed to be from my body exploding scrambling my senses, I quickly pa.s.sed out.

That night I went through a painful process, going in and out of consciousness as my body rapidly changed.

(Erik POV)

Looking at the faces of the soldiers that are about to fight with me I smile. They all looked so frightened but not of the enemy but of my plan. At first they thought I was crazy but after slowly explaining myself the leaders had no choice but to accept.

Outside beside the wall all our weapons were loaded and ready. All we needed was the signal to start.

I received a short message from Ruby and smiled.

"Ok you apes, do you want to live forever. On the count of three fire with everything you got. After that follow me and finish these tickets off."

The faces quickly got paler but I didn't care. I just always wanted to say that. Smirking to myself I counted out loud.
