18 The Prince

Although humans and beasts were killed, everywhere, the survivors seemed to be too dazed at the sight of Lucifer, with his extremely beautiful scales.

Flying in the direction that seemed to lead towards the middle of the battlefield, Lucifer kept on bringing death towards those that he pa.s.sed by. He had flown for some time, and he completely ignored his surroundings to focus on the dream he had when he was asleep. It was too mysterious for him to fully understand, and it confused him of who Thalia was saying that like him.

Not even more than an hour later, news of a dragon, so beautiful that it seemed to come directly from the most beautiful dream was spread. Along with that news, it was told that if someone was to spot it, they had to immediately flee, as only death awaited for almost everyone that saw it. And it wasn't a death that would be painless or would be worthy of a warrior.

Around an hour later, Lucifer had left a trail of death towards the middle of the battlefield, and continued to do so, without blinking an eye, or giving it another glance. He was simply too focused to find the portal that he had seen in his dream, and wondering what was on the other side of it.

In the outer region of the middle of the battlefield, there was nothing but chaos. Blood and corpses were everywhere, while the ground was cracked and lava spewed up all around. Nothing seemed to be able to survive in a place such as that, but the middle of the battlefield was where the higher echelons of each side were fighting a hard fight that seemed to twist nature's rules. Everything logical seemed to not exist, as chaos roamed throughout the centre of the battlefield.

Suddenly, what seemed to be a giant, ran towards a golem with lava floating around inside of it. Every time the giant took a step, the earth shook violently and a crack would open while leaving an enormous footprint behind.

- "DOR! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU FILTHY DUMB ROCK!!"

As the giant ran towards the golem, he shouted angrily with an extremely deep voice at the golem with bloodshot eyes. It was as if the two of them had been rivals for millennia, but neither of them could finish each other off.

- "Abrog, you already had your chance, over 10 times to finish me off, but every time you've been hesitating at the critical moment, allowing me to survive."

As a form of counter, Dor replied in an even deeper voice, that seemed it came directly from the earth itself. Right after the words left Dor's mouth, Abrog the giant, instantly froze and he began to shake violently. Dor had hit an extremely sensitive spot that Abrog didn't seem to cherish in any way. As their eyes locked onto each other, Abrog's whole body was shaking extremely violently due to his anger for the words said by Dor.

- "You're going to regret it when he arrives, you know that."

The words silently left his mouth as he stared deeply into the lavfilled eyesockets of Dor. Instantly a change seemed to occur with the movements of Dor, as his rock body began to shake slightly, sounding loud crackling noises.

- "You know you can't always rely on him whenever you want to threaten someone!"

Even though Dor sounded fearless, it could be seen that he was somewhat afraid of the person that was mentioned. Seeing this Abrog couldn't help but feel a hint of joy and pride, as his confidence instantly rose another level or two. He stopped shaking and forgot his anger, as if the only thing that mattered was that he could keep Dor scared and afraid, giving him a chance to finish him off... after over 10 times of trying to kill him.

- "You know he will come soon, and he's even an early King rank. None from your side would be able to fight on equal ground with him."

Keeping the flow, Abrog used 'him' as a bargaining chip for Dor to lose his focus on the battle between them.

'It isn't worth it for King ranks to go to the outer region of Glorica, as it doesn't have much natural energy within the atmosphere.' Silently snickering to himself, Abrog couldn't help but feel he'd pushed Dor into a corner which he couldn't escape from.

As time went on, Abrog's confidence and pride kept on rising as he felt that Dor was getting warier and more afraid of 'him' actually arriving on the battlefield.

As Dor seemed to be confused and unfocused, Abrog instantly took the chance to pounce towards him. Only when he arrived in front of him, did it seem that Dor noticed him, but it was already too late as Abrog had silently swung out his fist from above, down towards his head.

When the gigantic fist hit the golem, it instantly exploded into thousands of pieces, that flew everywhere. The fist continued to move down through Dor's body without losing any momentum. As the fist was swung from above with an enormous force, and Dor being unfocused, it went straight through his body as if it was a knife cutting b.u.t.ter. Lava spewed out of what seemed to be the golem's 'veins'. Instead of containing blood, it seemed that the golem was living off of lava, to supply it with energy.

- "Finally you're dead you G.o.d d.a.m.n piece of filthy rock."

As Abrog sighed in relief, he was also filled with happiness that he had finally killed his archenemy after hundreds of years of battling with him.

Suddenly, white light flew with incredible speed towards Abrog's direction. It split the clouds in two, and as it landed, the ground was immediately shattered into pieces, while lava was flung in every direction. The light dissipated, and what was left standing in the middle was another giant. He was a youth with long black hair, completely white clothes with what seemed to be gold embroidering creating beautiful patterns. His eyes were blue, and they radiated an aura of wisdom and strength.

- "Your Majesty!"

As soon as Abrog recognized who it was that had come, he instantly knelt respectfully, showing extreme joy but also confusion on his face. What would bring one of the Prince's to such a desolate region?

- "Your Majesty, what brings you here, if this servant may be allowed to ask."

Abrog respectfully sounded his voice, with a question towards the newly arrived Prince. He silently sweated, as he was extremely nervous.

- "It seems there's an interesting existence somewhere on the battlefield. I'll have to wait for it to arrive."

As soon as the words left the Prince's mouth, a chill went down Abrog's spine. What kind of existence could get the Third Prince to personally seek it out, and even wait for it?!
