Angry at the way his boss was treating him, Xun Yanwu bowed respectfully at Zheng Shanyu.

In a curt tone that spoke volumes of the resentment he felt towards the woman that had put him in a difficult position, Xun Yanwu's steely eyes bore into those of Ni Yuexi.

Not having his aide acting disrespectfully towards the person that he liked, Zheng Shanyu set him straight, right in her presence. Being reminded all over again of the gap in ranks, Xun Yanwu wanted to throw up the food he ate that morning.

Ashamed at being asked to address the woman beside him by t.i.tle, the aide of Zheng Shanyu did as he was told by his boss. Walking ahead of her, to open the door for her to go through. He then lowered his head while holding the door as she unwillingly left where she stood to go to the door.
