Xun Yanwu and Ni Yuexi soon arrived at the HR department and were led inside by a fellow employee.

"Director Lang is waiting for you inside."

The person that led them in was a man that looked like he was in his mid-twenties, suited up with the company name tag proudly displayed on his chest. The door to the director's office was left open as though the person inside was already antic.i.p.ating their arrival.

"Ah! Is this Chairman Zheng's aide?! You must be the new director for the department of ethics."

The man that showed them in, soon left after he saw his director rise from his desk to greet the visitors he brought with him.

"Director Lang."

Xun Yanwu gave a simple bow in greeting, while Ni Yuexi gave a bow that almost reached her waist as she greeted Lang Shangkun.

"Director Lang, Good morning. Chairman Zheng sent us."

"Please, have a seat. I hear you are now the new director, do you have any decor preference?"

The fifty something year old director gave a genial smile, while paying lip service to the woman that was now seating directly across from him. There was a knowing look in his beady eyes despite the smile on his lips, as though to say that he knew the position was not well deserved.

"Let's cut the chase okay?! Chairman Zheng is not here! So there is no need to ask her what she wants!"
