Bail and Kyon glared at each other for a long moment. The tense atmosphere on the platform made everyone feel uneasy. Only Stephanie sympathized with Lovr, who was in all respects perfect for her. Did she have at least a tiny chance to get to know him better?

Bai's shoulders sagged wearily. Arguing was pointless. They would talk tomorrow.

Kyon knew that there would be no conversation tomorrow, he had other plans. Besides, he had no intention to develop a good relations.h.i.+p with the evil old man who had ordered his murder.
