“I don’t have any plan right now. They have already activated the Longevity Tower’s power. Minor Ascendant Immortals like us are simply incapable of fighting back against it,” Nameless Brahma said. All of them had already put a distance of hundreds of thousands of li between them and the Longevity Tower. However, this distance was practically nothing for the Longevity Tower.

A beam of light flashed forward, ignoring the amount of space between them to pierce the Immortal artifact that one of them were using to defend himself. After piercing through the Immortal artifact, the beam then easily pierced through the cultivator’s armour and body. Following that, the cultivator’s vitality rapidly drained away and the speed at which he was flying plummeted.

“Risk it all! This is just a clone anyways!”” Knowing that escape was no longer possible for him, the cultivator gritted his teeth and stopped. He then utilized a secret technique, burning the energy within him to create an even greater power, which roared out from his body.

However, the power he created from his secret technique failed to circulate through his limbs. Instead, it leaked out from the wound that the Longevity Tower left on his body. Thus, his actions of utilizing the secret technique ended up being for naught.

Yet another beam of light shot forward. This time, it did not pierce through anyone. Instead, it pulled two of the wounded cultivators towards it.

And so, two wounded cultivators were pulled into the Longevity Tower.

A massive Longevity Furnace appeared on the first floor of the Longevity Tower. The moment the two wounded cultivators were brought inside, they were thrown into the Longevity Furnace and suppressed there.

Primary flames burned within the Longevity Furnace and the two wounded Ascendant Immortals were quick to cry out in misery. Their souls were wiped out while their fleshly bodies began melting. A portion of the resulting energy streams was absorbed by the Longevity Tower while another portion of the energy streams was used for attacking.

Seeing that, Chen Feng simply smiled. Their actions were increasing the Longevity Tower’s power. In the end, he would be the one to get the most out of this.

As for what objectives Tian Yun and Liu Feng might have, it meant nothing to Chen Feng. Regardless of what it may be, they would not be able to do anything.

In Tian Yun and Liu Feng’s opinion, the opposing cultivators simply did not understand the Longevity Tower. They did not understand just how powerful the Longevity Tower was. That was the reason why the situation could end up like this. For Chen Feng, however, it was Tian Yun and Liu Feng who did not understand the Longevity Tower.

Heavenly Premier Absolute and Patriarch Heavenly Sword were still discussing the issue.

As they were discussing the issue, another change happened. The remaining Ascendant Immortals had stopped running. They all knew that running away here would only end with their deaths. On the contrary, by risking it all to fight back, they might be able to survive.

It was the aura of the Celestial Brahma Plane’s Divine artifact, the Desolation Bell.

It seemed as though it had sensed the Longevity Tower’s aura. Due to that, the Desolation Bell’s aura was triggered.

Sensing that, Nameless Brahma’s eyes shone and he regained his confidence. With the support of the Divine artifact, there was no need for him to fear the Longevity Tower. Not to mention, this Longevity Tower had yet to recover to the Divine tier. Thus, this might be an opportunity for him.

As expected, due to the support from the Desolation Bell, the attacks that the Longevity Tower fired at Nameless Brahma became less effective.

However, that was not all. A faint and seemingly non-existent bell sound reverberated outwards. Tian Yun and Liu Feng aside, even the faces of Chen Feng and the others who were inside the Longevity Tower sank. The faint bell sound caused everyone’s blood streams to roil uncontrollably and their souls fell into a state of confusion.

“This is the power of the Desolation Bell! Everyone, focus your minds and consolidate your energy!” Bi Qing was quick to say.

“Desolation Bell.” Patriarch Heavenly Sword grew somewhat puzzled.

“It’s the Divine artifact of the Celestial Brahma Plane. Thankfully, this is just a minor fragment of its power. Not to mention, the Longevity Tower has already stopped a major portion of it. If not for that, this power would have quaked us all to death,” Bi Qing said solemnly.

“Desolation Bell. That is a good item. Although it cannot be compared to the Longevity Tower, it is still one of the famed Divine artifacts of the Myriad Celestial Planes. It managed to remain intact during the great war back then. To think it would dare provoke the Longevity Tower now. Heh! One day, I will get my hands on this bell. Hanging it on my waist sounds good,” Chen Feng said smilingly.

“Let’s ignore whether or not it is a Divine artifact. It seems as though even hiding here is no longer safe,” Heavenly Premier Absolute said apprehensively. He could sense a power moving through the Longevity Tower and into the space inside. 

This was not the Desolation Bell’s power. This was a wave of purple-coloured energy fluctuations. It charged into the Longevity Tower to quickly form a formidable storm.

“This is the power of the Chaos Heaven Gourd. Heh! Yet another Divine artifact. Unfortunately for them, this is just a minute bit of long-ranged power from it. This cannot do anything to the Longevity Tower.” Chen Feng smiled.

“They are just refraining for fear of causing unnecessary damage. They are still in the dark about how strong the Longevity Tower really is. However, they might choose to really go all out, causing more variables to pop up,” Bi Qing said, a note of concern in his voice.

“Don’t be hasty. Being hasty will not help, anyways.”

Nameless Brahma had linked up to the Celestial Brahma Plane while Zi Doutian had linked up to the Celestial Purplesieve Plane, obtaining their support as a result. They even managed to obtain the blessings from the Divine artifacts.

Immediately after that, reinforcing powers also came from the Celestial Imperial Plane and Celestial Ardent Yang Plane. As for the others, they had all died from the attacks earlier.

The two Celestial Planes also had their own Divine artifacts. Speaking of which, why were the Celestial Planes considered as existences surpassing the Immortal Plane? Firstly, the cultivation bases of those from the Celestial Planes were very high. Secondly, it was because each of the Celestial Planes had the aegis of Divine artifacts. Divine artifacts were existences surpassing Immortal artifacts. For an intact Divine artifact, just a strand of its energy was enough to easily kill off a group of Ascendant Immortals and even True Immortals.

Detecting the aura of the Longevity Tower, which had spread out earlier, these Divine artifacts now unleashed counter attacks against the Longevity Tower. They had been opponents in the past, after all. Thus, they were very capable of recognizing one another’s aura.

The Longevity Tower tumbled backwards, completely incapable of stopping the attacks aimed at it. It was only at the Immortal tier, after all. There was too big of a difference between it and the Divine artifacts. That said, the Longevity Tower only ended up in a slightly disadvantageous position.

At that very moment, the Longevity Tower’s power had fallen. And yet, even though the other Divine artifacts possessed enough power to deal with the Longevity Tower, due to certain reasons, they were only capable of exerting a minor portion of their power. 

On Chen Feng’s side, his group remained fine. Hiding inside the Longevity Tower, they were only slightly shaken. However, the same could not be said about Tian Yun and Liu Feng.

Earlier, the two of them had mobilized the Longevity Tower together to kill off several of the opposing cultivators, putting on an incredible display of might. However, the situation had suddenly changed. Their opponents had suddenly received the support of their respective Celestial Planes. Add the attacks launched against them, the two of them ended up receiving a severe rebound.

The two of them blew up simultaneously, transformed into a mist of blood. Only, the mist of blood swiftly gathered up, reforming human figures. Tian Yun and Liu Feng’s bodies thus recovered.

 Chen Feng chuckled.

As expected, after Tian Yun and Liu Feng recovered, they realized that they had lost control over the situation. In the end, though, they had killed off several Ascendant Immortals and obtained the Longevity Tower. This was a great win for them. Exchanging glances, the two of them then entered the Longevity Tower. Next, the Longevity Tower devoured a stream of power from the Celestial Longevity Plane before spinning rapidly, breaking space open to jump into the spatial passageway.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

Given that they had finally turned the situation around, how could Nameless Brahma and the others give up on it? Without wasting too much time on pointless words, they went after it.

“Damn it! We were nearly defeated in the end! To think that they could also mobilize the power of their Divine artifacts. Thankfully, we managed to obtain the Longevity Tower.”

“Yes. We managed to find the Longevity Tower. Our status in the clan will rise greatly.”

“What, you are thinking about handing the Longevity Tower over?” 

“You mean?”

“Yes. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. If we hand over the Longevity Tower, we will only gain a minor increase in status. The benefits we will obtain from doing so will definitely not be great. Besides, what we yearn for is power. Although this Longevity Tower is only at the Immortal tier, it was once a peerless Divine artifact. As long as we can restore it to just one tenth of its former might, we will have no issues conquering the stars. Even becoming the Clan Lord is a possibility.”

“Your words make sense. However, restoring the Longevity Tower’s power is not that easy.”

“It will indeed not be easy. This task requires a great deal of power. We managed to kill off a few Ascendant Immortals earlier. Unfortunately, all those were clones. If only it was their real bodies, we would be able to gain a lot from them.

After discussing the issue, the two of them then brought out all the spirit stones on them, channelling all of the spirit stones’ power into the Longevity Tower to make it even stronger.

“These two fellows look very ambitious. Looks like they are scheming something,” Bi Qing said smilingly.

“I already knew this. They are two juniors that I have never met before. And yet, they would so respectfully address me as Young Clan Lord? That’s a problem right there. I don’t believe I possess the air of a conqueror.” Chen Feng scoffed.

“What will you do now?”

“Just wait. We’ll squeeze every drop of benefit we can get from them before taking action. Unexpectedly, even through they are only clones, they would bring so many spirit stones with them. Looks like they had been thinking about taking action right from the start.”

Hearing how Chen Feng could so casually refer to the two Ascendant Immortals as juniors, Heavenly Premier Absolute and Patriarch Heavenly Sword felt somewhat awkward.
