“No, no! We are not here to fight.” Patriarch Yan Mo hurriedly waved his hands with a smile.

“If so, please reveal your intentions,” Chen Feng said coolly, waving his hand to bring out the Deepsea Maelstrom, which spun rapidly on his hand. The atmosphere of might from the Dao artefact secretly shocked the Earthen Immortals on the opposing side.

“Top-grade Dao artefact!”

Although they already knew that Chen Feng possessed top-grade Dao artefacts, personally seeing it had still brought about a very strong impression.

“Peace talks!” Patriarch Yan Mo calmed himself down and said.

“Peace talks?” Chen Feng smiled.

Besides, the Planar War is going to start soon. The entire world of cultivation needs us to contribute,” Patriarch Yan Mo said smilingly with a sincere expression. “Peace talks, eh? Not a problem. Truth is, I also do not like fighting and killing.” Chen Feng nodded.

“If that’s the case, let’s find a quiet place and have a good discussion. This place is not too suitable for it,” Patriarch Yan Mo suggested.

“Not a problem.”

“Elder Chen, be wary of their plots.” Sword Immortal Great Heaven secretly reminded Chen Feng.

“I have my own plan for this. I will go alone. Next up, you fellows are to…” Chen Feng then secretly relayed his arrangements to the two Sword Immortals.

“I’ll be troubling the two of you for this.”

“Elder Chen, there is no need to mention it. Before we came, our Sect Master had already informed us to obey Elder Chen’s orders,” Sword Immortal Great Heaven said smilingly.

Next up, Chen Feng left them all, going with Patriarch Yan Mo and the others on his own. Seeing that, Patriarch Yan Mo and the others were secretly surprised. They did not understand why Chen Feng would do something like this.

Patriarch Yan Mo had prepared many pretexts to have things develop the way he wanted. However, it would appear that he could not use any of them. Chen Feng had been too quick to agree to the proposal.

Naturally, not everyone from Nine Firmaments Palace went for the discussion as well. Of the six Earthen Immortals, two were left behind while all 20 of the Human Immortals stayed. Only four of the six Earthen Immortals had left with Chen Feng, the two mid-level Earthen Immortals included. Due to that, the cultivators on Chen Feng’s side grew somewhat more relaxed.

“When I give the command later, everyone must attack together to kill them off. If possible, do not let a single one escape.” Sword Immortal Great Heaven secretly gave the orders to the Human Immortals on their side. Given how the other party only had two Earthen Immortals and 20 Human Immortals, they had enough power to deal with the enemy. 

“For them to be doing something like this, they must have some other plans in place. We’ll have to plan our attacks carefully. We must not allow them to escape.” Sword Immortal Great Wind smiled.

“Naturally.”

Chen Feng followed Patriarch Yan Mo and the other three Earthen Immortals, flying across a distance of 150,000 kilometres before coming to a halt.

“Looks like finding a place to talk is really not easy,” Chen Feng said smilingly.

“If we use an ordinary place to entertain Island Lord Chen, wouldn’t that damage your reputation?” Patriarch Yan Mo replied with a smile.

“Island Lord Chen, please.”

“No need to stand on formalities.” Chen Feng replied.

Four Earthen Immortals and one Human Immortal descended to finally land within a relatively spacious valley.

Entering the valley, Chen Feng immediately found it to be like entering another world. The freshness of the air rose several times and various types of spiritual trees filled the place. Little rivulets flowed about and there was even a spiritual fountain to be found there. Not to mention, there were also spirit animals darting about.

Wooden houses were scattered about within the valley to give it a sense of liveliness.

“What a prosperous place, a paradise on earth.”

Chen Feng said smilingly. It was not due to the scenery. Rather, it was due to the concentration of spiritual energy there. 

Glancing around, Chen Feng saw over 100 spiritual trees. To be able to support so many spiritual trees, one could imagine just how thick the spiritual energy there was.

While Chen Feng was smiling, however, another look flashed across his eyes and he scoffed inwardly. 

“Island Lord Chen, you overpraise us. I fear it is far inferior compared to East Dragon Island.”

Seeing Chen Feng follow them into the valley, the four Earthen Immortals secretly exchanged glances and glints of light flashed from deep within their eyes, near imperceptible to others.

“Island Lord Chen, please.”

There were no other people within the valley. With a wave of his hand, one of the Earthen Immortals then set up a feast within the pavilion there.

Chen Feng did not decline and instead, moved to sit on the most important-looking seat available. Seeing that, the four Earthen Immortals secretly grew furious. However, they did nothing about it.

After engaging in a few more casual topics of discussion, Chen Feng then said smilingly. “All right, let’s get down to business. Since your Nine Firmaments Palace wants to peacefully talk things out with me, it’s time to show your sincerity.”

Hearing that, Patriarch Yan Mo was taken aback and the smile on his face gradually disappeared.

“Once you stop attacking, we will allow you to safely leave the Northern Plains.”

“If that’s the case, there is nothing to talk about.” Chen Feng waved his hand. “Is your Nine Firmaments Palace unable to clearly see what is going on here? Frankly speaking, you fellows are simply incapable of dispatching too big of a force to deal with us right now.”

“Ha ha ha! Young man, I fear you do not yet understand our Northern Plains and the Three Palaces,” said another mid-level Earthen Immortal. His name was Patriarch Thunderclap. 

“Oh, why do you say that?” Chen Feng revealed a look of surprise.

“Truth be told, in order to destroy Extreme Celestial Sect, our Nine Firmaments Palace alone is enough. Not to mention, it will be an easy feat for us.”

“But that is not the reality of our present situation.”

“That’s because we are not going all out. Rather, our three sects have not mobilized even a third of our forces for this war.”

“That’s why, young man. This action of yours, leading men into our Nine Firmaments Palace’s territory and rampaging about, is only temporary. The moment we dispatch our forces out, your men will be incapable of leaving the Northern Plains.” Patriarch Yan Mo and the others began taking on a more forceful tone.

“Are you certain you can kill us? I believe you must have already investigated my present identity, no? I can honestly tell you, this army I’ve brought with me is just the first wave. There will be even more coming soon.

“I currently have a territory spanning a distance of several million li, with millions of water yao cultivators under me. Compared to the limitless ocean, the Northern Plains is somewhat small.

“Additionally, I am now a student of Absolute Academy. This time, there are over 100 students from Absolute Academy who came here with me for this war. All of them possess astonishing talents, geniuses amongst geniuses. I believe you fellows understand what that means.

“It means that I occupy a very important position in Absolute Academy. Heh! Even if your three sects were to join forces, you will still be no match for Absolute Academy, far from it.

“Another thing to note. Absolute, Heavensight, Four Cardinals and Eternal. Surface wise, the students of the four Holylands are constantly competing against one another. However, they are in fact, secretly united. If you fellows somehow kill off the students of Absolute Academy here in the Northern Plains, I can assure you, in no more than three days, thousands of cultivators will charge in from the Central Plains. All of them would be Human Immortals and Earthen Immortals. Rather, there will also be Ascendant Immortals,” Chen Feng said, looking at them all with a look of utter arrogance.

“Heh! Are you trying to scare a three-year-old here? Absolute Academy will come to the Northern Plains and start a war with us? What a joke!” Patriarch Yan Mo retorted with a derisive smile.

“There will be no war. They’ll just kill you fellows.” Chen Feng corrected him.

“Let’s talk about the present. It is still not too late for you to withdraw. Although you have taken down many of our strongholds and killed a good number of our cultivators, if you stop right now, our Nine Firmaments Palace can forget about it.” Patriarch Yan Mo waved his hand.

“Forget about it? How kind of you!” Chen Feng sneered.

“You said it yourself. My actions have killed many of your cultivators. If you let us go back just like this, tsk, tsk, the reputation of your Nine Firmaments Palace will fall into the gutter.”

“It cannot be helped. Behind you is East Dragon Island, Heavenly Sword Faction and Absolute Academy. We are indeed incapable of provoking them all.” The voice of Patriarch Yan Mo and the other three suddenly took on a milder tone.

“Ha ha ha ha! You fellows are willing to just forget it? But I am not! Don’t forget! Back then, you fellows from Nine Firmaments Palace were the ones who hunted and pursued me all the way to the Central Plains! I nearly died many times! Many, many times!” Light burst out from Chen Feng’s eyes and killing intent flashed forth.

“Chen Feng, I think you fail to see the situation properly,” Patriarch Thunderclap said scornfully.

“Oh? And what is the situation?”

“The situation right in front of you. You are right, our Nine Firmaments Palace is indeed incapable of offending a pinnacle power like Absolute Academy. However, I believe they will not start a war against us for a dead person, you.”

“Dead person. In other words, you fellows are going to attack me.” Chen Feng chuckled, not revealing a trace of panic on his face. He was simply not afraid that they would attack him.

“The army that you brought along with you is quite good. At present, however, you are alone within our territory.”

“Do you fellows think that I am not prepared for it? Just attack whenever you want.”

Appearance wise, their negotiations had reached an impasse and it seemed like a fight was about to erupt.

“Ha ha ha!” Patriarch Yan Mo suddenly laughed.

“Chen Feng, we sincerely want to talk things out peacefully with you. We hope that you can treat us with sincerity as well.”

Hearing that, Chen Feng scoffed inwardly. Before coming here, Chen Feng had already guessed that they would attack him. However, their actions of spouting so much nonsense surprised him somewhat.

Just now, Chen Feng had assumed that they would start attacking. Due to that, he had prepared himself for it. And yet, they had actually held back.

Chen Feng found that puzzling. 

Are their preparations still not complete?

 After reaching that line of thought, Chen Feng borrowed the Longevity Tower’s power and his divine sense promptly spread outwards to instantly reach a distance of hundreds of thousands of li. When he saw what was happening with his own army, he smiled.

These fellows sure are fast.

Next, he retracted his divine sense to inspect the mountains surrounding the valley and smiled yet again. This time, however, there was a slight look of caution in his smile.

No wonder these fellows did not attack. It turns out the amount of power has yet to reach the necessary level.

 Chen Feng thought, snickering inwardly. 

By borrowing the Longevity Tower’s power, Chen Feng was able to investigate his surroundings using his divine sense without the four Earthen Immortals noticing.
