“You’re asking for it!”

The students from the Four Great Academies had been reeling in fury from having the Glassy Lightning Flowers snatched away. Only, they could not find out who was behind it. Thus, they had no place to vent their feelings of fury. At that very moment, they finally found a target to unleash their rage upon. Four students attacked at the same time and the few cultivators who laughed at them were instantly killed off.

Clean and ruthless. Their actions instantly stunned everyone.

“Isn’t this action of yours too overbearing?” a peak-level Human Immortal shouted.

“What about it? Do you have any objections?” Sword Immortal Azuretip stepped forward questioningly, a ferocious light glinting off his eyes. He seemed desirous of suddenly starting a bloodbath.

“If you dare say more, you will die on the spot!” Another student from Four Cardinals Academy came forward.

“You fellows!” The peak-level Human Immortal’s face turned red. However, he held himself back in the end. None of the cultivators around him were coming out to object the Four Great Academies’ actions.

Sigh! If everyone is united, there will be no need to fear the Four Great Academies. Unfortunately, there is no hope for that. Hopefully, the situation will become even more chaotic. That way, I will get the chance to collect the Glassy Lightning Flowers.

 The peak-level Human Immortal said nothing else as he planned his next move.

Impressive! The one who took action earlier is actually only one person. Not to mention, that person is a female. The first time, she had utilized that whip. The second time, however, she utilized her magic skill. Only, I wonder which force does she belong to?

 Chen Feng, who was lurking around, finally found some clues. Next, Chen Feng’s figure moved forward, going through the lightning powers there.

Finally, he came to a halt and his eyes shone. His black gaze broke through space and the lightning powers around him disappeared. They became like snow in the face of a scorching sun.

“Come out!” Chen Feng said strictly. It was not done using his mouth. Thus, no sound came out. Rather, it was a message sent out using soul waves.

Space broke and a female cultivator cast a surprised look at Chen Feng.

Tall and slender with a white neck, the female cultivator wore white dress embroidered with butterflies while a black whip was tied around her waist. The holy and ethereal temperament she exuded was mixed with a hint of charm and there was a sly look in her clear eyes. She also sported slightly pouty lips, which gave her a somewhat playful look.

The female cultivator was a stunning beauty. At that very moment, her jade-like hand was holding onto a blue-coloured flower. It had a glassy, crystalline appearance and lightning powers swirled around it. It was none other than the Glassy Lightning Flower.

“Who are you? You managed to track me?” The female cultivator’s response was soft and alluring. At the same time, however, there was also a hint of killing intent within it.

“And who are you?” Chen Feng cast a curious look at the female cultivator in front of him. He had determined that this female cultivator was very powerful. She gave off an unfathomable aura. Although she was a peak-level Human Immortal, she was capable of snatching the Glassy Lightning Flowers from that many cultivators twice in a row. It was something that Chen Feng himself was likely incapable of accomplishing.

Of course, it would be a different story if Chen Feng utilized a magic treasure.

“I know you.” Suddenly, the female cultivator smiled. Her feet moved and she walked forward to stand before Chen Feng. The wary look in her eyes had disappeared.

“You are Chen Feng, from the Northern Plains’ Extreme Celestial Sect. Due to the murderous pursuit of Nine Firmaments Palace, you were forced to run to the Central Plains. Here, you became the honorary elder of Heavenly Sword Faction before joining Absolute Academy. You command East Dragon Island, with a territory spanning a radius of half a million kilometres. A mid-level Human Immortal who possesses several Dao artefacts and even Immortal artefacts.” As the female cultivator continued, Chen Feng grew increasingly shocked. Everything she said was completely correct. She was very well-informed about him.

“I wonder, am I correct?” The female cultivator smiled.

“I wonder, which sect are you from?” Chen Feng smiled.

Many in the world of cultivation know all that about me. So, that’s actually nothing spectacular.

“You can address me as Immortal Pining Butterfly,” the female cultivator said smilingly.

Chen Feng’s eyes flashed and he replied, “Immortal Pining Butterfly, you are not a cultivator from our Eternal World, are you?”

“Oh, why do you say that?” Light glinted out from deep within Immortal Pining Butterfly’s eyes.

“It’s just an intuition.” Chen Feng shook his head. Due to Chen Feng’s keen divine sense, he was able to sense something strange about Immortal Pining Butterfly’s aura. It seemed otherworldly. There were only two possible explanations for this situation. The first, she had already broken the worldly shackles binding her. The second, she was not from Eternal World. The former was not possible unless she was already strong enough to reach the Ascendant Immortal stage, allowing her to break the shackles and ascend to the Immortal Plane. Naturally, there was also Chen Feng’s case. Only, Chen Feng’s case was incredibly rare.

“Your intuition is very accurate. I am indeed not a cultivator from Eternal World. I am from Domain World.” To Chen Feng’s surprise, she openly admitted it.

“Domain World?” Chen Feng nodded. “I believe you must have come here through the Planar Battlefield, then.”

“Yes, you’re right. I came here through the Planar Battlefield.” Finally, a look of shock appeared on Immortal Pining Butterfly’s face. Unexpectedly, Chen Feng would be able to suss out her origins so quickly.

Chen Feng pondered for a moment before saying with a smile, “Yes, this time’s Planar War is about to start. The various worlds will surely send some of their elites to the other worlds in advance to gather some information.” 

“You sure know a lot. Logically speaking, given your cultivation level, you should not know about this. Looks like you have quite the background. That makes sense. If you do not have a background, how could you establish such a force?” Immortal Pining Butterfly nodded her head before continuing, “Let’s talk about our current situation. Now that you have discovered me, will you be attacking me? Or do you want to snatch this Glassy Lightning Flower in my hand?” 

“Ha ha ha! It is true that I am interested in the Glassy Lightning Flowers. However, I have no intentions of snatching it from you or fighting you. I am just here to see for myself just who is the one behind all that.” Chen Feng laughed.

“Yes. Although you are also a student of Absolute Academy, you are hiding in the dark. Looks like you have the same idea as me.” A crafty look flashed across the eyes of Immortal Pining Butterfly.

“I believe we can work together and snatch the Glassy Lightning Flowers. As a show of sincerity, I can give this flower to you as a gift,” Immortal Pining Butterfly said, waving her hand to send the Glassy Lightning Flower in her hand to Chen Feng’s hand.

“That’s generous of you.” Chen Feng smiled, but he waved his hand to send the Glassy Lightning Flower back.

“What is this? Are you unwilling?”

“This plan of yours sure is good. Alone, you will be incapable of handling all of the cultivators here. Recruiting me is just a way to lessen the pressure on you.” Chen Feng was able to see through her intentions. 

Immortal Pining Butterfly raised her brows. She wanted to say something only for Chen Feng to stop her. “However, I agree on working together to snatch the Glassy Lightning Flowers.”

“Very well, it’s a deal, then.”

As Chen Feng and Immortal Pining Butterfly was forming a temporary alliance, the Lightning Pond began churning with a greater ferocity.

In addition to the two Glassy Lightning Flowers that Immortal Pining Butterfly snatched away earlier, another 12 Glassy Lightning Flowers had appeared. All of them were taken away by the Four Great Academies. None of the other parties managed to get a single one.

However, the Lightning Pond churned and the number of Glassy Lightning Flowers emerging from it rose. This time, a total of three Glassy Lightning Flowers appeared at the same time.

The students from the Four Great Academies fought furiously to snatch the flowers, making it theirs. By then, the eyes of the other cultivators had turned incredibly red. Most of them were already on the brink of attacking the students.

Lightning water sprayed out and a total of five Glassy Lightning Flowers appeared. This time, the cultivators from the various sects and forces swarmed forward to finally break through the perimeter set up by the students from the Four Great Academies. After a series of fights, one of the Glassy Lightning Flowers fell into the hands of a cultivator from a first-rate sect.

The Lightning Pond began churning like boiling water and even more Glassy Lightning Flowers appeared. Over a thousand cultivators charged forward, fighting one another for the flowers. Due to that, chaos descended upon the place.

“So many Glassy Lightning Flowers. A pity, we’re too late for it.” Chen Feng and Immortal Pining Butterfly finally returned to the scene. Seeing the Glassy Lightning Flowers appear again and again, even Immortal Pining Butterfly exclaimed in shock.

“What, do you need the Glassy Lightning Flowers?” Chen Feng asked with a smile.

“That’s a good item. Of course I need it. Are you not here for the Glassy Lightning Flowers yourself?” Immortal Pining Butterfly cast a puzzled look at Chen Feng.

In truth, as Chen Feng was in possession of the Lightning Bead, he could already absorb the power of lightning with it. In fact, he would often use the lightning powers inside to temper his body. Thus, he was not as desperate for the Glassy Lightning Flowers as the others. Naturally, no one would begrudge having too many good items. After snatching the flowers, he could either use them himself or give it to his subordinates to improve their strength.

“Do not reveal yourself. We’ll just snatch the flowers secretly. I sense that lightning beasts will emerge from the Lightning Pond,” Chen Feng said.

“My thoughts exactly.”

Chen Feng and Immortal Pining Butterfly then split up and approached the Lightning Pond separately.

Glassy Lightning Flowers were continuously emerging from the Lightning Pond. If one were to gaze at the Lightning Pond from afar, it would look like a lotus pond instead. Several hundred Glassy Lightning Flowers had appeared so far, causing the cultivators to fall into a complete state of frenzy.

Every one of the Glassy Lightning Flowers was the equivalent of a top-grade Sky-tier medicinal pill. Was it any wonder that they would all go crazy over it?

At that very moment, Marquis Scarletfire was facing a siege from a group of cultivators. Finally, several attacks struck him and he fell towards the surface of the lake. No matter how formidable Marquis Scarletfire was, falling into the lake filled with lightning water would be devastating for him. Given how chaotic the situation had become, having his strength exhausted by the lightning water would place him in a terribly dangerous position. 

However, when there was only one zhang left between him and the surface of the lake, a soft power acted upon his body to push him up. Marquis Scarletfire was surprised, but he quickly realized that it was Chen Feng secretly taking action.

Before Marquis Scarletfire could say anything, however, a Glassy Lightning Flower emerged beneath his position. He was quick to react, stretching his hand out to collect the flower.

“Give it to me!”

Seeing Marquis Scarletfire take the Glassy Lightning Flower, several of the nearby cultivators rushed forward.

“You have a death wish!”

A ferocious light flashed out from Marquis Scarletfire’s eyes and he attacked with the flaming spear in his hand. Marquis Scarletfire was too far away from the group from Absolute Academy. Rather, it would be more accurate to say that they had abandoned him. Thus, Marquis Scarletfire had to fight off the cultivators alone.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

A formidable force swept forward and the cultivators attacking Marquis Scarletfire screamed wretchedly as they fell – like meteors – into the Lightning Pond. Engulfed by the lightning water, most of the cultivators simply fainted.

“Eh?”

Marquis Scarletfire was stunned. He had not done anything to them. However, he then understood. It must have been Chen Feng. Next, Marquis Scarletfire turned and stabbed out with his spear to kill off all of the cultivators in the Lightning Pond.
