. Chen Feng was somewhat surprised. Naturally, he was aware that it was due to the conditions there.

Chen Feng had a peaceful time cultivating himself there. In fact, it was so peaceful that Chen Feng found himself feeling somewhat unaccustomed to it.

Tribulation clouds gathered and Heavenly might descended. Due to that, Chen Feng was aroused from his cultivation session. Checking around, Chen Feng quickly found out that the female cultivator was undergoing tribulation.

“Has she finally decided to undergo her tribulation?” Chen Feng whispered. His observations of her in the past revealed to him that the female cultivator had stockpiled a great deal of power. By Chen Feng’s estimate, there was a good chance that she would choose to undergo her tribulation. Thus, seeing her do so now did not come as a surprise for Chen Feng.

She should be able to overcome it,

 Chen Feng thought.

Let’s go and see how the Heavenly Tribulation of others look like.

Although that was the reason he gave himself, there were actually other emotions tugging at his heart.

The female cultivator in white’s first tribulation was the Infinite Sky Wind tribulation.

These tribulation winds were no ordinary winds. The winds were as sharp as blades and they would slice the cultivator’s flesh and soul without end. Any carelessness on the cultivator’s part could result in the soul getting shredded to pieces.

It was capable of both physical and soul attacks. In truth, when facing Heavenly Tribulation, failure would generally lead to the destruction of both body and soul.

Observing the tribulation, Chen Feng secretly considered how he would perform if this was his Heavenly Tribulation. Soon enough, Chen Feng obtained his answer. He would breeze past it. The Infinite Sky Wind tribulation could not even break through his defence.

This first tribulation should not be a problem

As Chen Feng expected, the female cultivator successfully shattered all the Sky Winds aimed at her to emerge unscathed. While the tribulation did cause her to pant somewhat, she was able to quickly recover after taking just one pill.

The second tribulation was the Advent of Sky Fire tribulation. This Sky Fire would burn the cultivator from the inside out. Born from the heart to multiply according to the amount of inner demons within the cultivator, it was somewhat similar to the Yin Fire that Chen Feng had to face in his past tribulation. Only, the tribulation that Chen Feng faced was created from the power of yin while the female cultivator’s tribulation was created from the power of yang.

The flames burned fiercely from the inside out. Should she fail to endure, she would be burned to ash. The Sky Winds earlier could slice their target to shreds, but this Sky Fire could burn their target to nothingness.

This one should be a little more difficult,

 Chen Feng thought.

However, what happened next surprised Chen Feng. The female cultivator easily dealt with the Advent of Sky Fire tribulation. After a moment of shock, Chen Feng came to a realization. The female cultivator was someone who cultivated the power of water. Additionally, she also possessed the Cool Jade Constitution. That was the counter to all inner demons. Even if the Sky Fire was twice as strong, it would still not be too effective against her.

I forgot about that. Truly, those who possess special spiritual roots are those blessed with luck!

 Chen Feng felt his heart stirring.

The third tribulation was the Sky Engulfing Waters tribulation. Seeing that tribulation, Chen Feng broke into a smile. The female cultivator’s luck was truly great.

As expected, she was able to easily overcome the tribulation.

The fourth tribulation began. This time, it was the Astral Blue Lightning tribulation. Finally, the female cultivator’s face turned serious. Chen Feng’s eyes shone. This was the strongest tribulation amongst all the four tribulations that the female cultivator had to face. Compared to the other three, this tribulation – containing Sky Lightning – was more dangerous for the female cultivator who cultivated the power of water. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that this one was her counter.

Still, she should be able to overcome this tribulation. However, she will end up in a somewhat miserable state. Eh, some people have come? What are they up to?

Chen Feng suddenly noticed several cultivators emerging from the void. Next, they began setting up layer after layer of restrictive arrays, which quickly encased the female cultivator’s grotto-mansion. 

The female cultivator was oblivious to what was happening. As she was focused wholehearted on her tribulation, she simply had no time to observe what was happening outside. Besides, she had set up some restrictive arrays beforehand. Add the fact that this was Absolute Academy’s site, she did not consider the possibility of someone trying to attack her here.

It would seem that there are eight in total. Tsk, tsk. All of them are actually mid-level Human Immortals. Additionally, they also do not appear to be students from Absolute Academy. Their movements are fast and it seems they have agreed on what to do beforehand

After setting up the arrays, they immediately rushed off to occupy varying positions to form a special Eight Trigrams Array.

These fellows must be from the same group. They dare come to Absolute Academy to cause a scene. When you look at it that way, this female cultivator must possess quite the extraordinary identity.

However, since I have noticed it, it would be remiss of me to not do anything about it.

 That was what Chen Feng told himself as his body slowly slipped into void space.

I’ll observe the situation first.

Finally, the female cultivator successfully overcame her tribulation. It was as Chen Feng had predicted. Although the female cultivator managed to overcome the final lightning tribulation, it ended with her consuming almost all of her strength. At that very moment, she was seated cross-legged on the ground, studying the immortal dao laws descending upon her.

It's about time those fellows take action, no? If these fellows attack her, she will end up getting awakened from her cultivation. Should that happen, her tribulation will be disrupted in the end despite successfully overcoming the tribulation. That would damage her foundation.

A clump of black lightning powers descended from the sky to strike one of the cultivators. Next, one of the mid-level Human Immortals instantly disappeared, leaving not even a trace of ash behind.

He was utterly obliterated, both body and soul.

Following the female cultivator’s action of opening her eyes, the tribulation clouds that had dispersed earlier reformed at a rapid pace. It was as though they had never disappeared.

“This is bad! The Heavenly Tribulation hasn’t disappeared!”

“We were fooled! Hurry, run!”

The faces of the seven surviving cultivators sank and they quickly flew away, wanting to leave the scope of the Heavenly Tribulation.

However, while it was easy to enter, leaving was difficult.

According to the laws of the universe, someone who chose to attack a cultivator who was in the midst of undergoing tribulation would end up becoming subjected to an even greater Heavenly Tribulation, one designed to kill. The death rate of such incidents was close to 100%.

Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou! Sou!

One by one, black lightning flashed out. Every lightning attack represented the death of one of the cultivators. In just the blink of an eye, only one was left. This cultivator flew quickly, having already created a distance of over 50 kilometres between him and the female cultivator. Even so, the lightning attack had still struck him, disintegrating him entirely.

Eight mid-level Human Immortals were killed just like that, leaving not a trace behind.

Impressive!

 Chen Feng secretly praised.

An impressive heaven-hoaxing technique! Unexpectedly, there is actually a fifth tribulation. I actually failed to see through that as well. Devastation Lightning. Those are destructive lightning powers containing the power of darkness. It’s no surprise that those fellows would end up dying. They can only blame their misfortune for that

After dealing with the hidden threat, the female cultivator continued with her tribulation. This time, the aura emanating from the female cultivator’s body was even more violent than before. Clearly, she had been hiding her strength prior to this in order to lure out those who would try to harm her.

The word destructive could not do the Devastation Lightning justice. Filled with the power of darkness, its appearance alone was enough to tell others that this Sky Lightning was capable of devastating everything.

In the face of the formidable Devastation Lightning, the female cultivator breathed out streams of water from her mouth. The waters compressed before shooting forward, piercing right through the descending Devastation Lightning.

A good move!

 Chen Feng nodded.

Stream after stream of water surged upwards, blocking the Devastation Lightning attacks from descending. Eventually, however, the female cultivator began trembling. Clearly, this technique was very taxing on her.

Thankfully, as the female cultivator was on her last legs, the Heavenly Tribulation finally ended and the tribulation clouds disappeared. This time, the Heavenly Tribulation had ended for real. Next, the female cultivator began receiving the immortal dao laws, sitting down quietly to begin studying the laws.

Chen Feng pondered for a moment. Then, he utilized his Magic Eyes of Darkness to scan his surroundings. By then, his Magic Eyes of Darkness was already strong enough to truly pierce space. Chen Feng’s eye power had gained a tangible quality, capable of even piercing right through a mountain of steel.

As expected, there is still someone lurking around. Not to mention, this fellow is even more powerful compared to the previous bunch. Just who is this female cultivator? To think that she could end up luring over so many experts.

 After considering it for a moment, Chen Feng then flicked his finger and a layer of blood-coloured barrier emerged around the female cultivator. In the beginning, it was only a faint, blood-coloured barrier. However, the power of blood quickly surged to form a scarlet light. The barrier grew thicker and it blocked the line of sight of others, making it hard for others to get a clear view of what was inside it.

When the lurking cultivator who was thinking about attacking saw that, he instantly lay low. To Chen Feng’s surprise, he did not leave. Instead, he continued to lurk about.

After considering it for a moment, Chen Feng smiled.

Looks like he doesn’t know that I am the one behind this. He must think that the female cultivator is the one behind the bloody barrier.

With the Heavenly Tribulation over, the surrounding area, covering a radius of tens of thousands of li, fell into a state of tranquillity once more. Some of the students of Absolute Academy simply peeked out and glanced around randomly before returning to their own matters.

In Absolute Academy, tribulation was something that happened every now and again. Thus, for the students there, this was a common occurrence.

The female cultivator continued cultivating herself while Chen Feng himself was in no hurry. With the Blood Mustering bead protecting her, the lurking cultivator chose not to attack. If Chen Feng hadn’t utilized his Magic Eyes of Darkness to check his surroundings, he would have assumed that the lurking cultivator had left.

After one whole month, the female cultivator finally finished up her cultivation session. Even before opening her eyes, she could already sense something amiss outside. When she eventually saw the bloody barrier around her, she grew shocked. However, the bloody barrier quickly turned faint in colour before dissipating into the air.
