Facing the Battler Bug Empress, all of the Gold Immortals from the Immortal Plane felt greed rising within them, but the strength of the Battler Bug Empress shattered their hopes. 

After killing off the Divine Princes, the Battler Bug Empress’ body abruptly elongated. It was so fast that it practically transcended space and time. Next, the five Divine Princes who were fighting Chen Feng were each severed into two at the same time. 

On Chen Feng’s end, he would not have been able to hold on for much longer. Fighting them, his entire body had become like a highly taut string. As the string was about to snap, the pressure on him abruptly lessened. As a result, the power that he had just gathered up had nowhere to go. Due to that, Chen Feng roared and attacked one of the Divine Monarchs.  

Four Divine Monarchs had been struggling to entangle one of Chen Feng’s combat puppet. With Chen Feng’s participation, the balance of the battle was broken. A punch from the combat puppet sent one of the Divine Monarchs flying. Next, two of the blade-like limbs coming out from the Battler Bug Empress’ body swung to form an X and the Divine Monarch was sliced into four pieces.

A chain reaction happened. First, the Battler Bug Empress had appeared. Then, the Ageless Gold Immortals were killed, followed by the Divine Princes and then the Divine Monarchs besieging the combat puppets. The defeat of the Divine Monarchs meant that this attack from the Immortal Plane’s side had failed once again. After all of the cultivators from the Immortal Plane had retreated, Chen Feng was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. As they were retreating, two more of their Divine Monarchs were killed. Additionally, a high number of their Divine Princes and Ageless Gold Immortals were killed as well. As for those beneath the Gold Immortal stage, they were almost completely wiped out. 

I wonder if the Immortal Plane will attack again after this. Unexpectedly, the high-level battle that did not erupt in space would erupt here in advance. Only, I’ve killed a high number of the cultivators from the Immortal Plane this time. What will the Immortal Plane do?

 Chen Feng began pondering the situation. 

In truth, Chen Feng never intended to start an all-out war with the Immortal Court so quickly. At any rate, his force was still not that strong. But now, it would appear that, thanks to his actions, the situation had escalated. Upon leaving this chaos space, the Immortal Court might mobilize its army to besiege him. 

On the other hand, his Longevity Alliance was presently in a state of rapid development. This was not the time to participate in a large-scale war.

I can’t worry too much about that. As long as I can obtain the Tree of Life or have the Battler Bug Empress advance to the Paramount Gold Immortal stage, I will have the power to protect myself in the coming chaos

. Chen Feng knew that his own strength was the most important thing here. Anything else was but an illusion. 

The cultivators from the Immortal Plane had attacked Chen Feng twice in this chaos space, only to fail both times. On the contrary, many of their cultivators were lost to the fight with Chen Feng. 

Perhaps it was because they were scared, or perhaps they had a different objective, but for a long time after the battle, the cultivators from the Immortal Plane did not attack Chen Feng again. 

Chen Feng did not care if the other party would attack him or not. He placed the Battlers on guard duty while he focused on his own matters and cultivation. 

Of the 500 Fruits of Life that he had obtained earlier, he only kept 100 while the rest were distributed to the others. And so, despite having obtained a good number of Fruits of Life, the high number of subordinates meant that there was not enough to go around. 

If I can obtain the Tree of Life and all the fruits on it, then it will be enough.

 Chen Feng began imagining it. Just how many fruits there were on such a gigantic divine tree? Chen Feng himself could not tell. 

Just a single branch would have over 100 Fruits of Life. The number of branches on the Tree of Life exceeded 10 million. Moreover, Chen Feng could also sense that the divine tree was absorbing the power of this chaos space non-stop. This meant that the number of Fruits of Life was continuously rising. 

Ten years passed by quickly. During these ten years, neither the Immortal Plane nor the Tree of Life attacked Chen Feng again. As for Chen Feng, he had his army stationed there for the time being, occupying part of the space there. Interestingly enough, the cultivators from the Immortal Plane also did not attack the Tree of Life. 

In Chen Feng’s opinion, the overall strength of the cultivators from the Immortal Plane who entered this chaos space was very strong. If they could unite everyone, he would surely be no match for them. Naturally, if he were to join forces with the cultivators from the Immortal Plane, they would be able to finish off the Tree of Life. 

Due to that, Chen Feng felt somewhat conflicted. He hoped that Paramount Gold Immortals would take action against the Tree of Life. At the same time, though, he felt afraid. He was afraid that after the Paramount Gold Immortals took action, the situation would escalate beyond his control. That made him feel highly conflicted. Despite knowing that his thoughts would not help with the current situation, he could not stop himself from thinking about it. 

Eventually, the arrival of two Paramount Gold Immortals ended Chen Feng’s conflicting thoughts. What followed was concern. The strength of the two Paramount Gold Immortals was beyond his ability to handle. Regardless if they were here to deal with the Tree of Life or him, this was a very difficult issue for Chen Feng. 

The two of them split up. 

Chen Feng watched as the space before him fluctuated and a handsome male cultivator exuding an atmosphere of the extraordinary appeared. Wielding a sword, he gave off a confident and unfettered appearance.

Chen Feng’s pupils constricted. This fellow wielding a sword appeared like an ordinary human swordsman. However, the fact that a Paramount Gold Immortal was giving off this impression signified something. There was no need for him to express anything. His will was the greatest existence here. To be blunt about it, he was simply looking down on everything. He was not afraid that others would see him like this. He also did not care what others think about him. 

“Little fellow from the Celestial Longevity Plane, your body has the aura of several True Monarchs. Some are from old friends. Young man, take care. The Immortal Plane has a lot of experts as well.” The Paramount Gold Immortal stared intently at Chen Feng. Without waiting for Chen Feng to reply, he then disappeared to re-appear before the Tree of Life.

“Phew!”

Chen Feng had felt as though there was a great mountain on his head earlier. Even the act of breathing was laborious. Only after the other party had disappeared did Chen Feng recover.

That’s not a clone. That’s his main body. If he had taken action, my combat puppets would have been incapable of stopping him

“Princess Purplejade, who are those two fellows?” Chen Feng did not have any information about the two Paramount Gold Immortals. Thus, he could only ask Princess Purplejade about it. 

“Immortal Emperor Actionless and True Monarch Heavenly Abundance. The one that spoke to you is True Monarch Heavenly Abundance. I am very curious. Why didn’t True Monarch Heavenly Abundance attack you?” Princess Purplejade was quick to respond.

“Maybe he has a different objective in mind. Do you have detailed information on them?” Chen Feng asked again. 

“No. I only know of their existence. This is my first time seeing them. To think that True Monarch Heavenly Abundance would not attack you. Perhaps, he will not trouble you after this. However, you need to be careful with Immortal Emperor Actionless. I’ve heard that he had killed a good number of cultivators from the Celestial Planes. Should he feel displeased and suddenly decide to target you, you will be incapable of running away,” Princess Purplejade said. 

“Looks like I will have to leave this place,” Chen Feng said with a smile. 

“You should have left long ago. Only, I think it might not be as easy for you to leave now.”

“Oh, why do you say that?” Chen Feng was surprised to hear that. 

“I had just received news that a new group of cultivators has entered this chaos space. I do not know if any of your enemies are amongst them. That said, for you, everyone from the Immortal Court is an enemy, no?” Princess Purplejade said. 

“I don’t think of you as my enemy,” Chen Feng replied with a chuckle. 

“Then, what am I?”

“A friend.”

“If you treat me as a friend, then listen to me and leave this chaos space now. This place is too dangerous. If you die here, it will become an inner demon for me,” Princess Purplejade said. 

“I will not die. Still, I did kill a lot of cultivators from the Immortal Court. Do you not have any inner demons as a result of that?” Chen Feng asked with a smile. 

“No. I have no relationship with these fellows. I don’t care if they live or die. Also, I have a new piece of news. One of the forces is comprised of cultivators from the Celestial Planes, Immortal Court and some mysterious races. They are targeting you.” When she reached the last part, Princess Purplejade’s voice suddenly changed.

“After me? This matter is truly fraught with troubles. However, it is worth taking this risk for the Tree of Life,” Chen Feng said firmly. 

“This is not taking a risk, this is committing suicide,” Princess Purplejade said. 

“So be it. It is as you said, the other party is here for me. Moreover, they have already entered this chaos space. Do you think I can leave now?” After saying that, Chen Feng gave the Battler Bug Empress an order. Following that, he began collecting the Ascendant Immortal stage Battlers and True Immortal stage Battlers. Wave after wave, they entered Chen Feng’s sea of wisdom, leaving the Heavenly Immortals, half-step Gold Immortals and Gold Immortals. Adding the unique creatures into the mix, the force under Chen Feng was still very big. 

Next, they began reducing the space they occupied, forming circles around Chen Feng. 

Only enemies? Didn’t any friends come in?

 Chen Feng mumbled.

After pondering for a moment, Chen Feng suddenly asked, “Purplejade, did something happen to this chaos space?” 

“You guessed right. In the beginning, there was only one passageway leading into this chaos space, the one that our Immortal Court opened. Recently, however, some cracks appeared and some forces other than those from the Immortal Court have already entered this chaos space.” Princess Purplejade hesitated somewhat. She wanted to move forward, but after reconsidering it, she decided to stay put. Although she had advanced to the Gold Immortal stage, her position in the Immortal Court was still not that firm. If someone were to obtain evidence that she had a close relationship with Chen Feng, it would become an issue for her. 

Chen Feng was also aware of this issue. Due to that, he did not think badly of Princess Purplejade’s decision to keep her distance. Moreover, he still felt thankful to her. If he could get any good items here, he would surely give her some. 

“Other forces have entered? This is great! If so, the situation would become even more chaotic. Only, with this, many of the treasures in this chaos space would be taken away. A pity, if only I can have this chaos space to myself.” Chen Feng then laughed. 

The outer part of Chen Feng’s force suddenly stirred. Another force that had appeared all of a sudden had chosen to attack Chen Feng. However, they were stopped by several million Heavenly Immortal stage Battlers. 

“Ha ha ha! The death seekers are here,” Chen Feng said, laughing. 

Chen Feng did not even have the time to clearly make out where this force was from when the force became inundated by the army of Battlers. Not even dregs were left of them. 

“Are these fellows idiots? Do they not see my army of Battlers?” Chen Feng said with a derisive grin. 

In Chen Feng’s opinion, with the five million Heavenly Immortal stage Battlers as his bodyguards, only the combined might of formidable Gold Immortals could do anything to him. Even a Divine Prince could die to this army. Besides, in addition to the Heavenly Immortal stage Battlers, there were also hundreds of thousands of half-step Gold Immortal stage Battlers and several hundred Gold Immortal stage Battlers. Add in the two combat puppets, Chen Feng believed that he would be able to handle anyone but a Paramount Gold Immortal.
