Tower ignored Chen Feng. It would appear that he was wholly focused on his divination. Helpless, Chen Feng had no choice but to just stay there.

Chen Feng was aware that even a bit of the flesh there, even one drop of blood, was a priceless treasure for him. However, collecting and refining them was incredibly difficult.

 Chen Feng grew excited. Swiftly, though, his face sank. The blood energy he absorbed rampaged within his body, inflicting serious injuries to his fleshly body.

Worthy of the title Gold Immortal. Even a bit of blood energy could possess such power!

 A look of pleasant delight flashed across Chen Feng’s eyes and black vortexes appeared within his body. In but the blink of an eye, a total of 81 black vortexes had appeared and they continuously absorbed the rampaging streams of blood energy. That was the Demonic Heavengorging Art.

The Demonic Heavengorging Art and Heavengulping Absorption Technique worked in tandem with one another to quickly suppress the turmoil within his body. Next up, it was time to slowly refine it. 

What a pity! If I can obtain the complete version of the Demonic Heavengorging Art and fuse it with the Heavengulping Absorption Technique, my ability to devour would become several times stronger

. Chen Feng shook his head.

Chen Feng did not possess the same power that the Longevity Tower possessed. He could not simply rip out a part of the flesh there. Thus, he could only slowly absorb the strands of blood energy to cultivate himself. By Chen Feng’s estimate, every strand of blood energy he refined would give him 10,000 years’ worth of cultivation effort.

Only, this was the power of a Gold Immortal. Even though Chen Feng was already giving it his all, he could only refine the most superficial parts of this power, albeit barely. Naturally, even this most superficial power was of a very high quality. It was something that no amount of spiritual energy could hope to match. 

As Chen Feng continued refining the strands of blood energy, golden threads began appearing within his Longevity Flame. But they only appeared for brief moment before flashing away and the Longevity Flame returned to its cyan colour. 

Chen Feng’s bloodstreams, however, were undergoing a world-shaking transformation. Refining a strand of the Gold Immortal’s blood energy was the equivalent of tempering his bloodstreams over 10,000 times.  

As Chen Feng was cultivating himself, the Blood Mustering Bead also slowly flew out. Seeing the flesh and blood all around them, it became like a ravenous wolf. Only, the rate at which the Blood Mustering Bead was absorbing the flesh and blood there was also incredibly slow. After devouring a piece of flesh, thrumming sounds rang out from the Blood Mustering Bead and cracks began appearing on it. Shocked, Chen Feng rapidly stretched his hand forward to grab the Blood Mustering Bead. Every single one of his blood streams became connected with the Blood Mustering Bead to rapidly repair the cracks.

The ageless power of a Gold Immortal was simply too strong. It was not something that they could easily absorb. Even though the Blood Mustering Bead was already a Divine artifact, it was still incapable of absorbing too much of it, lest it overloaded itself to the point of blowing up.

Looks like this will be a very arduous and lengthy project. Still, I am hoping that this could continue for a long time

. The feeling of cultivating there was simply too enjoyable. The rate at which his cultivation base was increasing there could only be described as fast.

As Chen Feng was enjoying himself with his cultivation process, something suddenly happened. The flesh around him squirmed with greater intensity and began closing up on him. Due to that, Chen Feng felt a formidable pressure. Given how much power the flesh possessed, the act of closing up on him would surely flatten him.

Chen Feng waved and the Blood Mustering Bead spun violently to shine with bloody light, which then formed sword beams, but it was useless. Even if the sword beams managed to break through the bloody light emanating from the flesh, they were still incapable of breaking through the resilient flesh.

The flesh closed up rapidly. In but the blink of an eye, it had arrived before Chen Feng. Seeing that, the Longevity Tower finally took action. A massive hand emerged and both flesh and blood scattered about before a grasping move scooped them all up. However, even more flesh – stronger than before – approached. Seeing that, Chen Feng hastily collected the Blood Mustering Bead.

Chen Feng chose to enter the Longevity Tower in the end. This was not the time to forcibly put on a strong front. He would be able to devour the power of the flesh and blood there inside the Longevity Tower as well. Only, even if he were to add the Longevity Tower’s power into the equation, it would still be difficult to charge out.

Upon entering the Longevity Tower, Chen Feng noticed that the pile of bloody flesh inside had disappeared without a trace, leaving only wisps of blood-red essence power floating around.

“Tower, how is it? What did you find out?” asked a curious Chen Feng.

“The results are out. This is a rare extra-terrestrial creature born from the chaos of space. It is a Gold Immortal. Only, its life force is practically gone. All that it has left is just some instinctive functions.” Tower appeared before Chen Feng, with the same appearance of a youngster, and waved his hand. Next, the hologram of an extra-terrestrial creature appeared. Mighty in appearance, it exuded an air of imperiousness. It was a rough image that Tower had gained through his divination.

“It looks like a lion.”

“Generally speaking, extra-terrestrial creatures like these are unique. There would only be one of them for each type. Due to that, there is no designated name for it,” Tower continued. 

Chen Feng nodded while secretly chuckling to himself.

You’re just making excuses because you don’t know its name.

“But that’s not the important part here. What’s important is that someone is refining this extra-terrestrial creature. This person wants to transform this Gold Immortal stage extra-terrestrial creature into a clone.” Tower’s words shocked Chen Feng.

“What? Transform a Gold Immortal into a clone? What a big move! The other party must surely also be a Gold Immortal, no?” Chen Feng’s mind raced. But even though he had many ideas, he was simply not strong enough. Snatching something away from a Gold Immortal was not possible for him.

“Xiaoyao Zi. The master of Carefree Palace and an Ageless Gold Immortal. He had spent years providing flesh, blood and power to this extra-terrestrial creature. So far, over 10 million True Immortals and a hundred thousand Heavenly Immortals had been refined into it. However, in order to turn it into his clone, he will still need to spend some time pouring power into it,” Tower said. 

“An Ageless Gold Immortal. That could already be considered as a starter-level Gold Immortal. But even if this fellow is only the weakest Gold Immortal, he is still not someone that we can deal with.” Chen Feng grew concerned.

“Your words make sense. He is indeed hard to handle. Still, given his level, refining this extra-terrestrial creature into his clone will not be easy as well. This is a unique creature of chaos, after all. Although its life imprint has broken apart, should the instinctive functions within it be triggered, the result is not something that a minor Ageless Gold Immortal like him could handle. 

“In other words, the critical juncture of when Xiaoyao Zi is refining his clone will be the best chance for us to break out.”

“How long do we have to wait, then? Surely, we don’t have to wait for over 10,000 years or 100,000 years, do we?” This was indeed a good cultivation spot. However, no matter how good a place may be, staying too long at a certain spot was hard to bear. Additionally, it was quite the enclosed place. Chen Feng was certain that he could not stand staying here for long.

“About that. It should not take too long. The amount of power inside this extra-terrestrial creature is already nearly enough. If Xiaoyao Zi puts even more power into it, he would not be able to control it.”

“If so, we’ll just have to wait. By the way, if you are to take action during a critical juncture, can you snatch this extra-terrestrial creature away? This is an extra-terrestrial creature of chaos, after all.” Chen Feng’s eyes became unusually bright.

Tower pondered for a moment before replying, “Very difficult, but we can give it a try.”

And so, Chen Feng began cultivating inside the Longevity Tower. In addition to absorbing and refining the power of blood outside, he would also cultivate the secret techniques from the Longevity Scripture.

Back then, due to the war, Chen Feng’s spiritual root was damaged and he lost a million years. At the same time, though, he also managed to gain a Heaven-defying harvest. The Longevity Tower and the complete Longevity Scripture. Both of them were items that would cause others to go crazy over.

After cultivating there for 10 years, Chen Feng then realized exactly what Tower meant when he said that it would not take too long.

For cultivators at Chen Feng’s level, even 100,000 years was just a short time.

Helpless, Chen Feng had no choice but to utilize the Longevity Sealing Technique to seal up 30% of his own cultivation base. As a result, his soul felt relieved. It felt so much more comfortable.

Another 10 years went by and Chen Feng was able to sense a great change happening to the flesh and blood outside the Longevity Tower.

“Why did the flesh and blood outside become so powerful?” Chen Feng attempted to investigate what was happening outside the Longevity Tower only to have his divine sense cut off.

“Xiaoyao Zi is refining this extra-terrestrial creature. Due to that, this extra-terrestrial creature’s instinctive abilities were triggered. It looks like Xiaoyao Zi has the upper hand here. This won’t do. I will need to add some spice,” Tower said and he utilized a secret technique. To Chen Feng’s surprise, it was a secret technique containing the grand dao of blood. As a result, the extra-terrestrial creature’s power of blood became even more active. The power deep within its flesh and blood was constantly stimulated and the instinctive abilities of this extra-terrestrial creature of chaos became even more ferocious.

“Eh, what’s happening?”

Somewhere within a starry space was an old man with white beard. A look of surprise appeared on his face. This old man with a very kind-looking face was none other than Xiaoyao Zi. He was a true expert and an ageless existence. 

At that very moment, his figure flitted in and out of sight in the starry space. Floating before him was a massive extra-terrestrial creature. Wondrous streams of bloody light and power kept radiating out from the extra-terrestrial creature’s body. As for Xiaoyao Zi, both his hands kept moving and one golden rune after another – shining with light – flew into the extra-terrestrial creature’s body.

“Strange. I have already suppressed it. How could there still be power coursing out from it? Did I make a mistake in my previous estimate? Does this extra-terrestrial creature’s body still have power that it has yet to push out?” The look of surprise on his face disappeared, replaced by a look of delight. The stronger this extra-terrestrial creature was, the stronger the clone he created would be.

“After successfully refining this clone, my combat power will increase threefold. Ha ha ha! That way, my chances of obtaining Gold Immortal Scarlet Heaven’s treasure hoard becomes much higher.” Thinking of that, a triumphant look appeared on Xiaoyao Zi’s face.
