Despite having talents in doing businesses, he was never valued by his family, being pushed around for not having a talent to become a warrior. Thus, he left and created his own business.

Even though Kane is not a warrior, he still has much knowledge of it as he grew up in a warrior family. Only a warrior with higher ranks than the other can have the right to see them lowly of. Especially when his trust-worthy bodyguard slash friend, Crow, a Tier 5 Elite who is a step away from becoming a Tier 6 Aura Specialist, makes it even less likely for someone so young to look lowly of.

In the world of warriors, power is what matters the most. An Aura beginner has the skills to fight off multiple men easily, but once a Tier 3 beginner turns into an intermediate, they are able gain at least 3x the strength, speed and defence of their original self. When one reaches a rank of a Aura master, bullets may cause some harm to them, but knives would be ineffective as they won't be able to penetrate them anymore with the protection of Aura.

Between all Warrior rankings, there are three essential stages: Tyro, Expert and Elite. When a Warrior has just entered a new ranking, he is a rank Tyro of that tier. While an Elite would only be merely a few steps away from evolving.

Kane knows that Crow has been using his Aura to exert pressure onto the teenager to test out his rank level. To his surprise, beads of perspire were rolling down Crow cheeks intensely, his face red from trying too hard. While Crow was having a hard time, Atlas continued sipping his tea, smiling at Crow as he relaxingly sunk into the fur sofa he was sitting on. Letting out a big long burb, he finally spoke," I think I ate too much garlic bread this morning."

After seconds of stalemate, as if tired from trying so hard without any success, Crow stopped, panting with exhaustion. "My apologies, Mr. Atlas." Crow bowed down his head, apologizing sincerely. His arrogant glances has now been replaced by ones filled with respect and appreciation.

Spectators may be wondering. Appreciation? Why? During the period of time he tried probing out Atlas's rank, which he regretted doing at that moment, was that no matter how hard he tried exerting pressure onto Atlas, it felt as if his Aura was like a weak mice trying to stay further away from a ferocious lion. Just as he was about to stop, he felt his Aura being dragged. Not knowing what was going on, he started checking the flow of Aura in his body.

Aura is obtained through absorbing Aura. Aura exists in the air all around us. They are a form of the cleanest and purest energy.

In ancient times, strong kings in different eras all needed incredibly strong warriors to rule kingdoms. However, due to the pollution in air nowadays, Aura can barely be sensed and absorbed in cities, making it challenging for warriors to rank up as fast as in ancient times.

Warriors meditate in order to feel and absorb the light Aura permeating in the air, allowing it to circulate through the meridians in the human body, causing the human body to be cleansed slowly by slowly, improving it, evolving it, which sooner or later, stores up, becoming Aura.

Back to the topic.

Struggling to find the source of why his Aura was acting strange, he noticed that his Aura were now channeling towards Atlas, like a black hole sucking everything in.

Crow panicked. All the years of training, he finally was going to reach the rank of a Aura specialist. If all his Aura just outflows like that, it would take a very long time to obtain back them all.

An intention to kill popped out in his mind. But quickly, it faded away. It was already surprising that a person so young could reach a rank he has never dreamed of reaching, it wouldn't be an honourable thing to do to ruin such a genius.

Just as he ended his thought, ready to accept reality, he felt his Aura flowing faster and faster. But this time, it wasn't going outwards, it was flowing back into him. Without even hesitating to care about how that was happening, he held his breath as his concentrated in channeling the energy through his body. The energy chafe through his meridian, swirling, sending pain throughout his body, which explains how his face reddened.

In the human body, there are twelve main meridians, encircling around the main organs that provides life. Even with the technology today, they are yet to be exploit, only counted as supporting veins, stabilizing the conditions of human body.

The truth is, these meridian are like tubes for Aura. There is a limit to it. In order to level up, these limits must be broken through rapid striking with the aura warriors absorb.

The cla.s.s Aura user is the foundation for every warrior who has a goal to achieve a higher stage of cultivation. Of course, the so called foundation is many warriors nightmare.

Most who wants to become a warrior usually gets trapped in three specific parts of the journeyβ€”β€”β€” from becoming an ordinary human to a Tier 1 warrior, from becoming a Tier 5 intermediate to a Tier 6 Aura master and lastly, from reaching the legend-like cla.s.s common warriors wish to achieve, an Axonn.

Like any other warrior, Crow aimed to become an Axonn. Sadly, he had been trapped as a Tier 5 intermediate for 15 long years, only hoping to reach rank 6 by 60 years old to extend his life.

With this sudden blast of happiness and opportunity, the only thought that went through his mind was to just seize this great opportunity to break through the devil-like barrier's grasp. And he believed, that he could.

Storing up his Aura, and of course, with the help of the "unknown" source of extra aura, he directed it towards the center of the barrier.

Ever since he "unlocked" and opened up the first meridian, he has been chastening it up, expanding his meridian to absorb Aura faster and to store up more Aura.

Now he knew, that it was time. Dealing a fatal strike onto the barrier, a soft sound of gla.s.s shattering came out from his body. From the perspective of his meridian, the barrier is now almost impossible to be seen, flicking like a dying light. Web like patterns scatter across the faint barrier, as if it would shatter in one touch.

Seeping through the gaps of the barrier, were thin smoke like gas, floating through the pa.s.sage towards the first meridian.

Huffing out pants of relief, Crow calmed his mind from the extreme happiness dancing in his head.

Raising his head, he caught a glance at Atlas's smiling face. He knew, that the young teenager, was the person who granted him this opportunity.

All this seemed like a millennia, but in reality, all the preparation for ranking up, only took place for seconds.

Crow truly was on the brink of kneeling down. Granting a warrior such opportunity, is as if granting him life.

"Thank you." Crow bowed down, his cold expression now ablaze with glee. He walked to Kane, and whispered to him," this boy, is unfathomable and worth fawning. No joke, I'm already close to ranking up with his help."

Amazement spread across Kane's face. He witnessed how hard Crow has tried reaching the next rank, and he knew, that Crow has never bowed to anyone except him.

" Beloved Mr. Atlas, why don't you have a sip of te..."

"Dude! Please stop with the fawning." Atlas put his palm on his forehead, interrupting," your buddy over there can't wait to rank up now. Do you want your living room to get messed up?"

"Oh, almost forgot bout that." Kane stood up apologizing. "Let go to the back yard."

"Oh yeah! By the way, your henchmen sucks."

". . . . . ."

Leaving the mansion, Crow led them towards the maze-like back yard. Stopping before a field about the size of a basketball court, Crow held his fist tightly. Today, he is going to become a Aura master.

Crossing his legs, he sat on the centre of the field. Taking a deep breath, he looked into his meridian, focusing onto the barrier.

He could already feel his Aura becoming purer just by having contact with the emitting mist.

Tapping on to the barrier softly, it crumbled into a wisp of air. Loud crackling sounds efferent out his body, like firecrackers setting off. Waves of energy rippled out, sending the gra.s.s and soil beside him to fly backward, as if they were running away.

Suddenly, the sounds stopped, as if time froze.

Observing this scene, Atlas simply clasped his hand, grinning," kblam."

As if a grenade had just gone off in reversed mode, fog like mist transfused rapidly into Crow's body through his skin, like millions of hungry sharks attracted by a drop of blood.

Kane cheered out in exhilaration as he witnessed this sacred moment, celebrating that he was finally going to have a Aura specialist on his team.

Meanwhile, Atlas squatted down not far away, leaning on a nearby tree, playing Snake2 on his trusty old Nokia 3310.

The storm of aura subsided, leaving only Crow's body veiled in thick layers of Aura.

"Not bad. Not considered good but not bad." Atlas's vision were still locked onto his phone.

Crow gave Atlas a wry smile. There was no way he could transcend him in anyway. In his opinion, Atlas is practically a freak.

If Atlas could read minds, he would have beaten the s.h.i.+t out of Crow.

Crow flexed his body, turning from the left to the right. He noticed that within the area of a 5 meter radius, greenery could no longer be seen, all blown away by the ruckus he caused.

Atlas seemed to notice so as well. "There is probably about a...51 percent chance he can become an Axonn." He speculated, mumbling under his breath.

How much destruction a warrior's rank up cause can more or less predict how far they can reach in their journey. After all, the journey of a warrior is like constructing a building, the stronger the base is, higher it can go.

Reminiscing the incident that happened the day he became an Aura Specialist , Atlas tried his best to hold in laughter.
