"Second and third Miss, please return to your courtyard for now!" said Xu Song using her stern voice.

She and the other maids blocked off Xiong Changchang and Xiong Jiayi at the front gate. Unwilling to let them through. Though, they were persistent in trying to get past the front gate steps.

"Why? Is elder sister unwilling to see us?" Xiong Changchang, the second Miss of the Xiong household, shouted. Displaying no grace or sign of someone with high upbrings in front of the servants.

"My lady is still sleeping," Xu Song replied back politely but in a firm voice. She needed to give Xiong Jingfei enough time to get rid of Yang Zheyan and change. No one must catch them together!

Xiong Changchang tried to get around Xu Song. However, every step she took, Xu Song was already a step ahead of her.

"Hmph," Xiong Changchang grunted in frustration.

She looked over Xiong Jingfei's maids' shoulders, and there was still no sign of Xiong Jingfei. There was no way she could sleep through all these commotions. If her source was right, then she will bring Xiong Jingfei's reputation down to the bottomless abyss. One that Xiong Jingfei could not crawl out from ever. She must break through and check!

Using all her strength, she pushed Xu Song out of the way but was held back by the rest of the maids loyal to Xiong Jingfei.

"If you won't move out of the way, don't say I didn't warn you!" Xiong Changchang pointed her fingers at Xiong Jingfei's maids. Hoping her small threat will scare them off. Seeing that it wasn't working, she screamed, "What you are doing just standing there stupid servants! Help me!"

Xiong Changchang screamed at her maids, who was just standing off to the side.

"Yes! What are you doing standing there!" Xiong Jiaya, the third Miss, imitated her older second sister. She pointed her finger at Xiong Jingfei's maids, "Get out of the way! Right now! Don't you know who we are!"

Xiong Jingfei's maids stood in their place resolute to not letting them pa.s.s through. Meanwhile, Xiong Changchang and Xiong Jiayi's maids weren't sure of what to do. They wanted to obey their own Miss's orders, but they didn't want to offend the eldest Miss, either.

In this household, Xiong Guozhi has the last say in everything that occurs, and his favored daughter was nonother then Xiong Jingfei. If they were to offend the eldest Miss, and she kicks them out. What were they going to do for a living? How were they going to send money back to their family who depends on them? At the same time, if they don't help their Misses, then she will kick them out.

It was so hard serving two troublemakers!

All of them were cursing their second and third Miss on the inside. When there is no trouble, they will go out of their way to find the eldest Miss to cause a problem. If the maids didn't value their life, they wanted to slash out at their second and third Miss for always putting their life on the line. On the other hand, they blamed their bad luck for having to serve the second and third Miss instead of the first Miss.

All the servants from the Xiong manor know the first Miss is a very quiet person. She is the head of the household and not Li Roulan, Xiong Guozhi's second wife. When dealing with an issue, Xiong Jingfei is always clear-minded about the problem and resolves it with calmness. This includes any problems the second and third Miss created inside or outside the Xiong manor.

Deep down, they all know who was the real mastermind behind the second and third Miss troublemaking. Although no one ever dared to slap that person's name with the second and third Miss mischief.

"You dare to not obey your Miss's order?" Xiong Changchang's right-hand maid sneered.

In a blink of an eye, one of Xiong Changchang's maids received a slap from Xiong Changchang's right-hand maid. Her ranking was higher than the other maids under Xiong Changchang. She is the second person in charge of only Xiong Changchang's maidservants. Those maids will have to obey the right-hand maid if their Miss was not presence. Just like how Xu Song was in command of Xiong Jingfei's maids.

After seeing that maid getting slapped, they shook their heads and immediately charged at Xiong Jingfei's maid. Xiong Jingfei's maids were standing in a line to block off whoever wants to enter. To get inside, you must go through them first, and it wasn't going to be an easy task.

"Second Miss, please! My lady is still taking a nap because she didn't feel well today." Xu Song restrained her voice from going up another octave.

If she didn't, Xiong Changchang would definitely use Xu Song "raising her voice" against Xiong Jingfei. Stating she did not teach her maids any self-restraint. Although Xu Song was already trying her best to hold herself back from dragging Xiong Changchang away. Why is the second Miss out of all day today want to see her Miss so badly!

Xu Song sees that it was getting out of hand. She grabbed Xiong Changchang by the arm to take her back to her courtyard. She swears those living outside the Xiong manor can hear them. Such embarra.s.sment was not tolerated by Xiong Guozhi. In a way, Xu Song was helping the second and third Miss to get a lesser punishment. She chose to drag Xiong Changchang instead of Xiong Jiaya, especially when she was the one who was the most eager to get inside.

"You dare to touch me?" Xiong Changchang pulled her arm away from Xu Song's grip. "I dare you to touch me again! We shall see what will happen to those hands of yours if you do!"

Xiong Jingfei may be Xiong Guozhi's favorite daughter, but Xiong Changchang was still his daughter. While Xu Song was nothing more than a maid, even though she is Xiong Jingfei's right-hand maid. She does not dare to lay a hand on the second and third Miss. Anything Xiong Jingfei's maids do will reflect and be blamed on their Miss.

"I am the second Miss, and you are just a servant! Don't think because you are Xiong Jingfei's maid, I can't do anything to you! You have no right to stop me!" Xiong Changchang hissed, raising the arm Xu Song grabbed high in the sky.

Xu Song closed her eyes, ready to receive the pain Xiong Changchang plans to inflict on her.
