Creak! the sound of a door opening was heard as a humble maid walked in, and said "Young Master Qin, Lord wishes to speak to you about a very urgent matter." the maid said while bowing deeply. "Lead the way." Qin Lan said uncaring.

Before long they made it to Qin Lans father's study. Qin Lan opened the door, and saw his father sitting in a dimly lit room looking grimmer than ever. "You know that you are a rare warrior that appears one in 10,000 years right?" Feeling something was off, Qin Lan nodded. "well, our spies have found that in almost all the big clans, a warrior has appeared, and the royal family of the world, has decided that in 10 years all the geniuses will have a compet.i.tion that will decide the fates of their clans. The loser will get their clans wiped out!" Qin Lans father said with urgency.

Qin Lan had a look of shock on his face. "Isn't that just going too far!!! You can't just have your clan wiped out because you lost in some stupid compet.i.tion!"

His father looked at him solemnly. "Little Qin you must train hard for the next 10 years and bring glory to our Qin clan!!!"

Qin Lan nodded, and left the room.

Qin Lan went into his courtyard and started to train. Soon he was in his consciousness, and saw the huge ball of fire, with similar sized b.a.l.l.s of an earthen yellow material and extremely concentrated wind like substance. He was currently able to control a bit of each of the 3 big elemental b.a.l.l.s.

"According to my teacher, if I start fusing the elements early on, I would be unmatched within the entire mortal realm!" Qin Lan said with determination in his eyes.

A fist sized portion of the Fire ball, and the wind ball flew towards each other. Gritting his teeth, Qin Lan roared "GO AND FUSE!!!" The chunks of the elements went into each other and started to mix into one element. Qin Lan immediately got excited, and lost his concentration. The two chunks of elemental energy lit up with a blinding light, and a 100 meter area within the two partially fused chunks got caved in. Qin Lan ran backwards, as he knew they were about to explode. After Qin Lan got far enough away to where he couldn't see the light anymore, he stopped and looked forth.

Rumble! The entire area within a kilometer of the ball caved in, as the ball suddenly condensed. A dangerous aura radiated off the now black colored ball, and it exploded.

BOOOOOM!!!! A ma.s.sive ball of fire, and intense wind erupted, and shook his very consciousness, with the power to destroy an entire continent! Qin Lan coughed mouthful after mouthful of blood, until he lay on the blood colored ground twitching in pain. Although he failed, he wasn't disheartened at all, and in fact he was happy.

"Now I know how to fuse the elements, I know the way!!!" Qin Lan said with an exited gleam in his eyes. He immediately started the fusion again. The two chunks of elemental power flew towards each other, and started mixing and started unleas.h.i.+ng a heart wrenching aura of power. A smile blossomed on Qin Lans face, as he knew he had just succeeded.

In his room Qin Lan opened his eyes, and looked at his surroundings, and saw himself to be covered in blood. He thought to himself, and realized he had little battle experience, and decided to ask his father to go out into the wilderness to train. Qin Lan rushed to his father quarters, and asked quickly, his father looked at him confused, but agreed anyways.

Qin Lan went out of the castle, and entered in the wilderness.

From this day forth Qin Lan would start a 10 year long training session to prepare for the tournament of geniuses, and shock the world.
