2 Holy Spirit's Divine Guidance

Because Spirits require their Summoner's Spirit Qi to leave the Spirit World, as long as they remain summoned, the Spirit Masters will have to support them with their own Spirit Qi until the Spirit return to the Spirit World inside their Dantian, or until they run out of Spirit Qi, which could be harmful to the body with everlasting effects.

And a Spirit World is a unique s.p.a.ce inside a Spirit Master's Dantian that is also supported by the Spirit Master's Cultivation. It is an important place where Spirits may have to spend most of their life inside because once they are summoned by a Spirit Master, they will no longer be able to return to the Spirit Realm until the end of their Master's lifespan.

A Spirit World is also what differentiates Spirit Masters between normal Cultivators, as those born without a Spirit World in their Dantian cannot summon Spirits, thus are unable to become a Spirit Master.

To summarize, Summoned Spirits are only allowed to return to the Spirit Realm once their Master dies, and until that happens, they will be living and cultivating inside the Spirit World supported by their Spirit Master's Cultivation.

"Hurry up, I can feel my conscious slowly fading…" Xiao Tian frowned. At this rate, he will lose consciousness from Spirit Qi deprivation.

"Hmph! Although you may be my Master, you are still far too weak to be ordering me around! And hurry up and increase your Cultivation so I can have more room in the Spirit World and also spend more time outside! I can barely breathe in that tiny place!"

The red-headed girl complained to him a little more before returning to the Spirit World through the Spirit Gate.

Once she was gone, Xiao Tian could feel his Spirit Qi begin to slowly recover.

"Haa…" He sighed while shaking his head. Although he had succeeded in summoning her four years ago when he was only seven years old, because of his lack of Cultivation, he wasn't able to bring her out of his Spirit World without losing conscious until just recently.

"Since I don't remember a Spirit like her when I was in the Spirit Realm, she must have been born after my death…" Xiao Tian thought to himself.

When he was born into this world, Xiao Tian retained the memories he had in his previous life as the first Emperor of Spirits, someone who rules over all of the Spirits in existence. However, because that was many eons ago, many new Spirits have been born since then, so it wasn't weird for him to not recognize every Spirit currently in the Spirit Realm.

Additionally, because he had spent the majority of his life trapped inside the Spirit Realm, Xiao Tian knows almost nothing about the Human Realm, hence why he had spent all of his time since his rebirth studying the Human Realm while cultivating just enough Spirit Qi for him to summon a Spirit.

In other words, while he has the memories and experiences as the Emperor of Spirits, he knows very little about Humans and the world they lived.

But now that he's confident in his knowledge about the current world, Xiao Tian has decided to finally focus on his Cultivation and start his journey to becoming the Emperor of Spirits once again.

Xiao Tian walked to the mirror at the corner of the room and stared at his own reflection, feeling a bit worried about his new life as a Cultivator. Because he was immortal without needing to cultivate or worry about his own safety when he was in the Spirit Realm, all of his efforts went into studying Spirits while barely touching upon the subject of Cultivation.

However, fortunately for Xiao Tian, he had engraved a few cultivation methods into his soul when he was the Emperor of Spirits because one of the Holy Spirits had urged him to do so just in case he needed it in the future.

Xiao Tian sat on his bed in the lotus position and closed his eyes to recall the Cultivation techniques engraved somewhere inside his mind.

A few minutes later, Xiao Tian began reciting a cultivation technique called 'Holy Spirit's Divine Guidance' inside his head, officially beginning his cultivation.

The Holy Spirit's Divine Guidance had nine stages to the technique, and upon reaching a new stage, the individual cultivating this technique would learn new skills and be able to control far more Spirits than what one could normally achieve at the same cultivation level, perhaps even those at a higher level.

While Xiao Tian was deeply engrossed in his cultivation, the Spirit Summoning event outside the Xiao Family came to an end a few hours later, and out of the thousands of people that partic.i.p.ated in the summoning, only a handful of people were successful in summoning a Spirit.

However, despite their success with the summoning, these people will not be officially recognized as Spirit Masters until they pa.s.s several exams, as they have yet to earn their right to hold such a prestigious t.i.tle.

As for the Xiao Family, they managed to rope these unofficial Spirit Masters into joining their power by promising them a life of wealth and status for their entire family, something these ordinary families could not ignore.

Meanwhile, inside his own room, Xiao Tian could feel his body experiencing many changes. His bones were becoming st.u.r.dier, the strength of his Spirit Qi was raising, and the Spirit World inside his Dantian was expanding.

After spending a few hours in cultivation, he managed to have a breakthrough, reaching the second level of the Spirit Apprentice Realm.

The Spirit Apprentice Realm was the beginning of all cultivation levels, and in order to even attempt Spirit Summoning, one must reach at least the first level of the Spirit Apprentice Realm.

However, Xiao Tian managed to successfully summon his first Spirit when he was only a mortal at the age of seven, and if such news were known, it would definitely shake the world.

Though, because he did not focus on cultivation, Xiao Tian did not achieve the first level of the Spirit Apprentice Realm until he was ten years old, barely allowing him to bring his Spirit out of the Spirit Gate.

It should also be mentioned that most people start cultivating by the age of ten and attempt their first Spirit Summoning at the second level of the Spirit Apprentice Realm, so Xiao Tian is still ahead of most people at his age.

After his breakthrough, Xiao Tian went to the bathroom to clean himself, as there were black substances sticking all over his body, emitting a foul smell. The black slime on his body is also known as impurities, unhealthy substances that were ejected from his body due to the breakthrough.

Once Xiao Tian left the showers, he coincidentally encountered his mother in the hallway, who quickly approached him when she saw his small figure in the distance.

"Oh, my baby! How are you feeling?" She immediately tried to hug him when he was in range.

Xiao Tian, who did not like being touched in such an intimate way, dodged his mother's incoming hug.

"How many times do I have to tell you that I do not like being hugged?" Xiao Tian spoke with a frown on his face. Because while he had the appearance of an eleven-year-old boy, his mental age far surpa.s.ses what any human could fathom.

"Xiao Tian…" His mother looked at him with a sad expression. "Are you still upset about the results today? Don't worry, I have already spoken to your father, and he wasn't angry at all that you failed."

Xiao Tian sighed inwardly. After living with Spirits for so long without human contact, his perception towards them became vastly different than what other humans think of each other. In a way, the way he looked at humans is similar to how Spirits look at them.

"If that's all, I will be going to sleep now," he said a moment later.

"Wait, your father also mentioned about the Song Clan that will be visiting tomorrow. Make sure you wake up early in the morning and be on your best behavior during their visit, because your actions will affect the whole family, and if you are lucky, you might even become friends one of their children."

The Song Clan, just like the Xiao Clan, is a family with great influence within their own territory because of the talented Spirit Masters within their ranks, and they will be visiting tomorrow.

To bring their children along, the intent of the Song Clan's visit was as clear as day, but in Xiao Tian's eyes, he couldn't care less about some family he'd never met before.

"Okay…" Xiao Tian nodded nevertheless.

He returned to his room shortly later and quickly fell asleep, as he was still feeling exhausted from the cultivation.
