APPENDIX II.

STATEMENT OF RESTORATIONS ACCOMPLISHED AND REQUIRED, AND OF SUMS EXPENDED THEREON.

_The following extract from a Memorandum issued by the Dean in October, 1873, is appended, by permission, to show the progress of works done, and the amount expended; as well as of works required to complete the restorations._

The following Memorandum of Works accomplished or required, was issued by Dean Goodwin, January, 1866:--

"The time seems to be now come, when the completion of the great work of restoration, commenced under Dean Peac.o.c.k and guided for many years by his care and judgment, may be looked upon as being within reach.

The works which have been hitherto accomplished may be enumerated as follows:--

1. The Choir restored and re-arranged.
