617 Feeling Bored

Meow! The cat was meowing.

The man suddenly saw a lot of stars in front of him. His eardrums were shaken by a huge sound. Then, he had a bad headache.

Words could not describe how terrible he felt. It was too painful.

He felt numb and felt a swelling sensation in his head. He could only hear a humming sound. Soon, he began to have hallucinations.

"Ouch! Gee!" He opened his mouth wide, trying to breathe. He was short of breath.

He was not the only one feeling terrible. The man near him was also affected. Although not affected as much, he still felt very uncomfortable.

"What the h.e.l.l is this? Lion roar?" the man asked.

Both men were shocked. They looked at w.a.n.g Yao with fear. They didn't think w.a.n.g Yao was gifted. They believed w.a.n.g Yao was a kung fu master.

The two men looked at each other. They saw the fear in each other's eyes. They swallowed hard at the same time and ran off.

This was no joke. This was scary. One shout from w.a.n.g Yao almost split their heads open. Two shouts would probably explode their heads, so they quickly fled.

"Clowns," w.a.n.g Yao said with contempt.

The two men escaped from the clinic and got into their car. They drove away quickly. They started to relax after they had left the village. When thinking about their experience in w.a.n.g Yao's clinic, they were still a bit scared.

"Pull the car over. Let me take a break," one of the men said.

The other man pulled over. The two of them were still thinking about what had just happened.

"Who was that guy?" one of the men asked.

"Kung fu, I suppose. I've seen it on TV. It's called lion roar," the other man said.

"What's on TV is not real," the taller man said. "But what we experienced was real. I still have a headache. It was like I was. .h.i.t by a wooden bar."

"My head is also aching. I think we have come across a true kung fu master," the other man said. "How many times have I told you? Be aware of your tone when you are speaking. I've received a lot of complaints about you already. Why are you still so rude? See what you've gotten in return this time?"

"How could I know that he would be such a monster?" the taller man asked. "In addition, I'm just a contractor. I don't care."

"You are not afraid of him? Why don't you go back to argue with him?" the other man asked.

"I'm not stupid," the taller man said. "I won't go back. Li Shaoyang can send whoever he wants to talk to that w.a.n.g Yao."

"Fine. Let's go," the other man said. "I won't go back, either. We'll just say w.a.n.g Yao was not cooperative."

They drove back to report what had happened.

Meanwhile, w.a.n.g Yao made a phone call. Apparently, someone was trying to cause trouble. He believed it was Li Shaoyang who caused all the trouble. Hidden arrows were difficult to guard against. He needed to be prepared.

He called Tian Yuantu to tell him what had happened. He asked him if he knew anyone who could help him.

"I'll let you know," Tian Yuantu said.

w.a.n.g Yao realized what he was lacking after he hung up the phone. He would have to deal with all kinds of people if he wanted to run a clinic and pa.s.s his knowledge from generation to generation. He needed to establish good relations.h.i.+ps with relevant government agencies. In this society, one needed to know a lot of people to achieve certain things. A good social network was very important.

I should expand my social network.

w.a.n.g Yao would have advantages if he expanded his social network. He was a traditional Chinese pharmacist, so his job was to treat and cure people. Anyone could get sick, and people had to see a doctor when they were sick. All good doctors were popular. But sometimes it wasn't easy to see a specialist.

w.a.n.g Yao was a better doctor than most specialists. However, he hadn't tried to promote his clinic.

In Haiqu, the two men stunned by w.a.n.g Yao's lion roar went to report to their superior.

"This is ridiculous. He's so arrogant," the men's superior said. "We must punish him."

They decided not to let w.a.n.g Yao go. However, a phone call stopped their attempt to punish w.a.n.g Yao.

"Gee! Who is that w.a.n.g Yao? I got a call from Beijing. No wonder he didn't give a d.a.m.n about us," a senior officer said.

In the capital city of Qi Province, Li Shaoyang was greeting his colleagues with a smile. He was wearing casual clothes and seemed to be in a good mood.

"Would you like to have dinner together tonight? My treat," Li Shaoyang said to his colleagues.

"Sure," his colleagues said.

They all knew Li Shaoyang's background. His father was the head of the department. Li Shaoyang was not a rude or arrogant person. He was quite generous to his colleagues. His only problem was taking regular breaks. However, it was not an issue since he had a good father.

Li Shaoyang returned to his office. He got a phone call soon after he sat down.

"What? It was not successful? You got a call from the City Committee? Are you sure?" Li Shaoyang wasn't too surprised. He had guessed that w.a.n.g Yao was no ordinary guy since he had failed to bring him down last time. However, he didn't expect w.a.n.g Yao to know someone holding such an important position in the government.

There was nothing like having a man on the spot to smooth the way.

Li Shaoyang's father held a high position in the Health Department of Qi Province. However, he didn't have a big impact on all the areas in Qi Province, especially those in charge of a city or a county. Those officers didn't necessarily listen to him.

I'll see how long they can protect you!

With a twinkle in his eyes, Li Shaoyang thought about a new idea. I can't bring you down, but I can destroy your reputation.

An article soon appeared online about a clinic in a village. The content in the article appeared to be real. Of course, it was not explosive news. In the beginning, not many people paid attention to the article. However, with someone adding fuel to the flames, more and more people knew about Lianshan and w.a.n.g Yao's clinic.

These doctors are so greedy! The clinic should be closed immediately, and that doctor should be a doctor at all.

These were the comments online.

This was how it worked on the internet. People jumped to a conclusion quickly. A lot of articles were spread online without being verified. Sometimes public opinion could even affect a decision made in the court. Therefore, the power of public opinion was big. Those who used the internet to spread fake news should have been punished.

With some a.s.sistance, more and more internet users clicked to read the article. Soon, it raised attention from relevant government agencies.

"Go and check on him!" Someone from a government agency made an order.

w.a.n.g Yao had a lot of visitors in his clinic. They were from the State Drug Administration, the Department of Health, and the Trade and Industry Bureau. However, none of them came to see w.a.n.g Yao for treatment.

w.a.n.g Yao had all the relevant licenses and certificates. He was not afraid of any sort of inspections. Now, he had one more thing in his hands. "Is this a joke?"

All the visitors were surprised to see a certificate possessed by w.a.n.g Yao, especially the stamp on that certificate.

"Is this genuine?" an officer asked.

"I think so," another officer said.

There were a lot of fearless people, but no one would fake such a piece of paper since it would be very easy to find out.

Because of the certificate, all the investigations stopped. A senior officer from the government department also called off all the investigations.

An article on the internet?

w.a.n.g Yao read the article and comments online.

These gangs on the internet are really powerful.

He had only heard of groups of people getting paid to make false accusations online in the past. Now, he had experienced it himself.

After thinking for a while, he called Sun Yunsheng.

"No problem," Sun Yunsheng said.

He acted fast. The people who spread the articles online were soon found.

Internet technology was advanced. There were a lot of people who were good at the internet, but there were mostly grumpy people with minimal knowledge about it. These people got paid to increase the click ration of an article. They had done this many times. Unfortunately, they had offended w.a.n.g Yao this time. The police caught the people involved, and the court sentenced them. Now, they all regretted what they had done.

The interrogation officer suggested that they should confess to reduce the sentence. The people quickly confessed everything in detail. The leader eventually got caught.

"Sh*t!" Li Shaoyang smashed his cup.

He was not afraid of a strong enemy, but he didn't want any stupid co-workers. If he hadn't prepared, those people would have betrayed him.

"Well, w.a.n.g Yao, you are quite capable, but I'm patient." Li Shaoyang cleaned up the broken gla.s.ses on the ground. A smile re-appeared on his face.

He had learned a lot at work. He knew how to make people do things for him and scheme against his enemy.
