What had happened last night was only known to those who were involved. The morning in town was still peaceful and quiet.

The two of them didn't speak in the car. They just listened to the sad pop songs on the radio.

"Are you still thinking about what happened last night?" asked w.a.n.g Yao as he noticed Tong Wei didn't look well.

"Yes," said Tong Wei softly.

"Can you stay here tonight?" asked Tong Wei.

"Sure," said w.a.n.g Yao gently.

He called his parents to notify them of what happened. His parents expressed understanding and asked him to stay at Dao City for a bit longer.

Tong Wei would go back to work the next day, then she would go to France for work. The two of them would separated for a long while.

Maybe it was because of the separation in the near future that they didn't talk much.

It started to get dark outside.

They sat on the couch watching TV after evening dinner, just like an old couple.

Tong Wei leaned her head on w.a.n.g Yao's shoulder. She was so pretty and smelled nice.

"I wish we could just be together like this," said Tong Wei gently.

"Then we can just sit here a bit longer," said w.a.n.g Yao.

The program on the TV was boring. They just sat on the couch leaning into each other. Maybe after several decades, when they got old, they would be like this all the time.

"I think we should be together," said Tong Wei gently.

It was a nice evening.
