71 Ch. 71 'Found A Solution'

When Richard contacted Kazuto about his younger sister, s.h.i.+n Ha coincided and rea.s.sured him that Niken would be fine. s.h.i.+n Ha also told him that they were all looking for ways to save Niken all this time. They did not find it, but they felt sure that Niken would survive.

Richard snorted sarcastically. How could they feel so sure? How could they all keep it easy? Of course, they could relax around because they were not the one who experiencing what he was feeling right now.

For Richard, Niken was the only family he had. Niken was everything to make him survive.

How could he be calm? How could they pacify him to keep calm?! He couldn't! He just couldn't calm as long as his sister's eyes were not open.

He couldn't calm as long as his sister's safety was not guaranteed. And he definitely couldn't calm as long as his sister's source of energy not restored yet.

This was all because of Kazuto! If it wasn't for Kazuto fused his energy into his sister's body, then this would not have happened.

Richard felt the urge to beat the man up. Maybe by beating him could lessen his frustration. But when he saw the man's expression was no better than him, Richard abandoned his plan.

He realized, he wasn't the only one who anguish over Niken's condition. The man felt more agony than him.

Niken might indeed be his sister, his only family. But for Kazuto, Niken was the breath of his life. Niken was his inamorata. Niken's death would be the death penalty for the man. Kazuto would lose more than him even though he was sure that he would also die to follow his sister step if Niken couldn't be saved.

He didn't know why but he felt something invisible bonded their souls. If Niken dies, he would die right away. Well, it was ridiculous. He knew that. But he couldn't help but had feelings like that.

Richard decided to sit in the corner while waiting for the other arrival. He hoped that Scarlet would bring good news for him.

Richard came out of the room when he felt the presence of his friends in front of his house.

"Scarlet... you owe me an explanation," demanded Richard as soon as he opened the door.

"I am sorry. I didn't mean to hide it from you at all. It's just, we thought... "

"Forget it. I just want to know, did you find a way to save my sister? "

"Yes, we just found it."

"Really?"

"It seems Izzy has the ability to manipulate Niken's body to accept Kazuto's energy. That way Niken could endure his elemental energy."

"Izzy? The new kid?"

"She is also one of Elementalist knights. So you don't need to worry."

"Where is she now?"

"I'm sure she's on her way here. Let's just wait a little longer."

"..." Richard paused and resignedly waiting for the arrival of his sister's only hope.

"How is Niken?" Scarlet asked again.

"Getting worse. I hope the new kid could save her."

"She could. I'm sure Niken would be fine after this. All of us are hoping the same." Scarlet's word somehow appeased him.

A few minutes later, Izzy arrived along with Edward and Yuki. Richard guided Izzy to his sister's room right away.

Izzy stared at Niken who was lying on her bed. If ordinary people saw her, they would think Niken was only asleep like a normal person.

But for the skilled elementalists, Niken wasn't just sleeping, the girl was dying. The energy in her body was not up to ten percent of the normal energy possessed by the average Elementalist. It only a matter of time until the girl's last breath.

As Edward explained, Niken's body resisted Kazuto's energy and was now just hanging around at the edge of her astral soul. If her body had not resisted it, maybe Kazuto's energy would have merged with Niken's and was now in the middle of the astral.

And now her fellow knights expected her to do something about the girl. What should she do? Since she became the purple knights, she had never used her power on human bodies let alone manipulated them.

How come she face this kind of situation?

Really.

As expected, coming to this new place was a bad idea.
