The very dead end tunnel the cave had to offer.

Even though the Gang was running as fast as they could,

(which is hard to find a direction to run because it is pitch dark in the cave and they literally just woke up and started running)

The lava was just closing in too fast.

Seeing that running won't help them escape alive from this situation, Mogranius decided to take charge.

Mogranius stops, slams his right foot forward to the ground and raises both of his arms up narrowly.

What seemed to be a s.h.i.+eld made from fire appeared in a blink of an eye.

It was big enough to surround the entire gang but also big enough to block the exit.

So lava couldn't get out of the cave as well.

Which not only saved them from getting burned to death but also stopped the lava completely and redirected it towards where it came from.

That lava could easily cause a ma.s.sive forest fire on this very dense forest.

As it had no other way because the exit was blocked and the cave wasn't to big.

Eric shouts

"Father, run. You climb on BlackWind and make your way to the main road. I will carry Stefan and blast out of here.

Mogranius. Whatever comes out of that cave, don't let it reach the forest. I will be back as fast i can."

Woldemir shouts

"I may have a view about what will come out of here. And i'm not even being sarcastic this time.

Fly quick and return. We need to both stop it from blowing out lava again and find out where the source came from."

As Eric flies away and Woldemir makes his way through the woods with BlackWind.

More lava exploded out of the tunnel.

It seemed like the amount is endless but it doesn't seem impenetrable.

Garther keeps his hands in the air to maintain the s.h.i.+eld and he starts walking forward.

The s.h.i.+eld keeps expanding and doesn't let lava push through at any gap but it's getting harder and harder by the second to maintain the s.h.i.+eld.

For every step Mogranius takes forward, the lava pushes him back a bit each time.

As he reaches the tunnel, he finds it three times as difficult to maintain the s.h.i.+eld and he is witnessing bits of lava breaking through the s.h.i.+eld on several places.

He has two options here.

Brake the s.h.i.+eld and fly away from the cave hopefully faster then the lava can blast out.

Or he can blast out fire trying to combat the lava and over power it.

He already used up half of his stamina maintaining the fire s.h.i.+eld.

Blasting fire to oppose all this lava sounds even impossible.

But the lava can't burst out of this cave so its either wait until the s.h.i.+eld brakes and get burned down or blast fire and hope to beat it.

Option two it is.

He breaks the s.h.i.+eld and quickly unleashes the biggest fireball he ever unleashed since he appeared on this era.

The roar of the fire was so loud, wild and strong that it pushed Mogranius ten feet backwards across the cave, the second he blasted it.

Now Mogranius is fighting back what could either be a sudden volcanic eruption or the Calidum Lutum blasting lava.

Who knows how many of them are down there. It could either be one, two or ten of them blasting out lava at the same time.

A true force to be reckoned with indeed. But so is a level four Fire Wizard.

The Fire Mogranius unleashed is indeed proving powerful enough to oppose all that seemingly unlimited amount of lava.

The fire he unleashed is pus.h.i.+ng all the lava down to the tunnel.

The battle of lava versus fire was so intense that the earth beneath his feet started rumbling hard enough to make half of the cave collapse, including around the tunnel.

Meaning lava stopped bursting out in the bizzare way it did.

Which seemed to be a perfect timing as well.

Because after that large amount of continuous fire Mogranius unleashed, he didn't have enough stamina to stand on his own two feet.

He fell down on his knees, and with his hands on the ground, he took deep breaths to relieve his lungs a bit.

This fireball sure took a whole lot out of him.

Just when the battle seemed to have stopped, more lava blasted through that tunnel.

Whoever or whatever is causing this lava, is sure determined to bring this cave and everything it it, down.

This underground town does have a Volcano deep down there. Perhaps the lava made its way through the tunnels and appeared here.

It is a good possibility.

Or it could be something else.

After all, this lava appeared right after something shouted

"Leave this place"

On Eric's dreams.

But of course Mogranius doesn't know that yet.

Either way it didn't matter right now because Mogranius was taking his last breaths away from death.

And it isn't because of his age but of course because of the obvious lava bursting fast towards him.

Even though Mogranius was only about twenty feet away from the exit, he didn't have enough strength(or stamina) to blast out of there.

He tried to keep the lava from burning the forest. At this case, the last option would of course be to consider his life and well being enough to blast out of here.

But he didn't have the power to do so.

Nothing was standing between the way of the lava from burning Mogranius alive.

In his mind Mogranius thought

"You had a good run old man. Time to face your destiny."

But...
