"Ohoh, we got a new item," Tokaya said, "A slime core... huh. What does it do anyway? Some kind of rune, or maybe a crafting material?"

Chika walked closer to her, "Let me see."

Tokaya gave it to her. With the interspatial box they have, they can store just about anything in that bottomless depth. Chika stored it inside, and then take a peek at the item's description.

[Tiny Slime Core] source of life to a small creature living in the first layer of the Great Forest of Sylph, they are called Tiny Slime. Alchemy Ingredient.

Flipping it around, she showed it to Tokaya.

Holding her chin as she pondered in her thoughts, Tokaya then nodded. "From now on, you will be the one holding these Ingredients."

"Okay... guess I'm fine with that."

"Good."

In the meanwhile, Tenko is looking through her Status screen.

She looked through many of its descriptions, all of what the skills do, what's it about, but there is one thing that she can't fathom. She turned around and went to the three that is talking about something, "Hey, um, there is something I want to ask about."

Chika responded, "Hm, sure what is it?"

"These stats, especially DEX, I don't think they are quite… representative, to what we actually can do." Tokaya's eyes widened, she then said, "We are actually talking about that right now."

"Oh."

"It's partially true, I suppose. Hmm… it's better if we just show you, Anko has already found a way to get more details out of it. Anko."

Anko nodded when she called out her name.

She walked closer to Tenko, and then explained everything that needs to be done. After following her guide, she managed to open the detailed information about it.

"Ahh, so that's how it is."

Chika nodded and stepped in the conversation, "Yep, the [Base] is your real DEX without the bonus from the statistic. This means that all the stats in the Status are the bonus added to your real ability, and of course, I'm talking about your real power, not the game power of what the status tells you."

Tenko responded, "Uhh, I don't really understand about the game thing, but I think I get it."

"Good" sighing. Chika was sure that she explained it very simple for her to understand, but… "Haa… when we got back to our world, let's play a real game together, okay?"

"…" Tenko's eyes light up, she nods, "Mm!"

With a promise in mind, the hearts of all four of them filled with joyful wonders. They are ready to explore more of the forest, and by that, which means to the location Tokaya mentioned. However, there is one more thing that tightened all the situations down.

"Um, there is one more thing actually," said Tenko.

"Mm?"

"I have an Active Effect that said made EXP gain will be significantly decreased. So, uhm…"

"Ahh, I see."

Tenko is getting nervous seeing all of them pondered about it without even talking to each other. After a while, Tokaya then said, "Hmm, so that means the EXP has been cut for the rest of us, yes? That won't matter, just means that we have to work harder."

"Eh, are you really fine with that?" asked Tenko.

"Of course, who do you think we are?"

"…"

Chika and Anko grinned, they yelled, "Gamers for life, baby!"

Tenko was baffled, she didn't understand what they mean by it, but she knows that they are okay with it. Her ability might hold them back by a lot, but they are okay with it. This made her happy knowing that she really did make friends with good people.

Another long walk they went.

Tokaya was worried that they might not make it in time before the night comes, but fortunately, they did. However, there is something in their way.

Three centipede-like creatures are crawling on the ground, scouring for food. The three of them are digging up holes on the ground.

"Chika, how is it?" asked Tokaya.

The group is hiding under a bush. Chika popped up with a frog on her head, "Bad, real bad!" mumbling as she yelled.

She raised her hand and then showed the screen info about the trio centipede.

Anko is blinking her eyes as she locked on eye-contact with the frog on top of Chika's head. It's like they're about to fight with each other or something, and for sure Anko got really annoyed by that slimy green creature.

In the meanwhile, Tokaya turn to ask Tenko, "So, what do you think we should do?"

She frowned, "Hmm…" looking around the area around them, she's still couldn't come up with anything, "I don't… really know."

"…" Tokaya s.h.i.+fted her eyes back to the centipedes, their slimy mouth really disgust her. Then suddenly, Tenko speaks, "I think I can go around and surprised one of them, that'll leave enough time for us to beat one before the two notice, and then after we do that, then we can deal with the other two… what do you think?"

"…" Tokaya pondering again about it for a while. Anko is about to unleash the beast against the frog, but then Tokaya responded, "That worth a try, I supposed. But can you do it?"

Tenko looked back to the centipede before s.h.i.+fting her eyes to Tokaya, "Yeah, you can count on me." Tokaya smiled, she was amazed at her bravery, wis.h.i.+ng that she has it too. "All right, let's do it."

Turning her head around to the other two, "Anko, prepare your water magic, Chika, you just stay put and don't leave her alone."

*croak*

Tokaya was amazed once again, in another sort of way. Chika didn't respond, but the frog did it on her behalf. Afterward, Tokaya went closer into the position, hiding behind a tree close to the centipedes. She readied her bow, waiting for Tenko to make her move.

*rustle *rustle

Tenko climbed a tree and then stood on one of its branch, steadying herself on top of it, she jumped onto another branch. "Hup"

Reaching out her arms.

*wham*

She managed to hold onto it, one can clearly see the vein in her arm, not so surprisingly, she's quite the sporty type. Tenko swings her legs upward and crossed the branch, she then managed to get up on it.

After steadying herself up again, she tiptoed carefully. Walking just above the second centipede, she held on to the tree and went to another branch on it. Slowly taking another walk, she is just right at the top of the third one.

She turned her head, looking at Tokaya, after a bit of gazing at each other, they nodded.

Tokaya pulled the string harder and then released it.

*Fwooosh*

Pa.s.sing the first and the second centipede, the arrowed hit the third one.

*bam*

Tenko quickly jumped aside and then vertically swing down her polearm with all her might.

*Bang!*

Tenko safely landed on the ground, but her clothes have dust all over it. That does not bother her in the least as she went to launch herself again, and swing down her polearm to the centipede's head.

"Grieehh, Krieeeehh!!" the centipede let a screeching noise out of its mouth, it alert the others. The two turned their heads to Tenko and then charged towards her.

"Anko, now!"

With a blue circle at the palm of her hands, Tenko shouted, "Hydrosophist Ray!"

*Blast *Swoosh

A beam of water was shot towards the centipedes.

*Bam *Bam *Bam *Bam *Bam

"Kriieee— ghlghf, Kreeehhhh!!" the centipede was angered.

However, the water ray is not stopping. Anko moved her hands around, aiming at the centipedes while the water is splas.h.i.+ng them.

Tenko knows that she can get hit by it, so she cleverly moved behind the closest targeted centipede and then attack it. Avoiding Anko's spell behind the safety of the centipede's large build.

*Bang*

Tokaya drew another arrow, but her eyes already locked on to the first target of her crosshair.

Pa.s.sing them by, and pierced the water ray, the arrow hits the centipede right on its head.

She took out another arrow, and quickly attacked it again, but it missed its head and hit its body instead. However, the damage is enough.

Again, she does it for the second time without rest and rain down the arrows upon them. With Anko's ray of water keeps staggering them, Tokaya and Tenko took this chance to deliver the final blow and finish the battle.

Lifting her polearm high, she swings it horizontally as it hits the centipede's head.
