The Ling Family might have been on the decline, but it was on par with the Long Family and Qin Family eighteen years ago as one of the three big families of Huaxia!

Countless industries under them were swallowed up by the other six big families, but the Ling Family's ancestral home still existed!

The Ling Family's ancestral home was intact and exactly the same as it was eighteen years ago.

It was located in the north of the capital, outside of Fifth Ring Road. It sat north and faced south. It was huge, with a total of nine courtyards. Deep, orderly, and grandiose.

There were thirty-six j.a.panese ninjas sent there by the Chen Family. They weren't there to launch a sneak attack but were there to brazenly ensnare and ma.s.sacre them!

The Chen Family had a clear understanding of the strength of the Ling Family. It was much smaller and weaker than the Cao Family, like ants that couldn't stand for anything!

There were three Xiantian Realm masters in the Ling Family. Ling Lie at Xiantian Realm Level One, Ling Zhen at Xiantian Realm Level Two, and Ling Yue at Xiantian Realm Level One. All three of them had old injuries!

The others were simply meat on the chopping board. Ling Zhen's two sons Ling Hao and Ling Xiao, Ling Yue's eldest daughter Ling Xiu and his two sons Ling Feng and Ling Li, and Ling Xiao's daughter Ling Xue had yet to reach the Xiantian Realm.

Other than that, there was one more master who was nearly at the Xiantian Realm — Ling Lie's faithful companion, Cui Lao.

Of course, the Chen Family didn't know that Cui Lao's old injuries had fully recovered with Ling Yun's help. Nor did they know that he had broken through to the pinnacle of Xiantian Realm Level Two with ease!

In addition to these forces, there were nine remaining men of sacrifice left after that fateful battle eighteen years ago. All of them were willing to sacrifice their lives for Ling Lie, though all of them were severely injured all those years back. They were all disabled and simply couldn't be considered as a source of force anymore.

That was the reason for the all-out attack against the Ling Family. Their strategy was to destroy them instantly!

It was simple, Chen Jianwei knew that Ling Yue was rescued. The Ling Family would know that everything was plotted by the Chen Family once he returned home. It was impossible to carry out the operations in secret now.

Their plot would surface then. Chen Jianwei immediately reported to the head of the Chen Family, his father, Chen Haipeng, after he fled. Chen Haipeng was shocked and livid when he heard that the masters in the Chen Family villa were all dead. He gave a direct order for all of the remaining forces to separate into two groups — one to kill Ling Yun, the other to destroy the Ling Family!

So what if they rescued Ling Yue? The Chen Family would just destroy the whole Ling Family!

Chen Jianwei might be fast, but Chester wasn't slow either. Chester brought Ling Yue away before Chen Jianwei rushed to the scene. Chen Jianwei had also lost some time because of the fight with Ling Yun.

Ling Yue was a man of unparalleled intelligence. He saw how Ling Yun killed more than a hundred of the ancient martial arts masters of the Chen Family. From there, he had predicted that the Chen Family would definitely not be able to accept such a defeat and would come tearing at the Ling Family.

That was why Ling Yue kept hurrying Chester to reach the Ling Family's villa in the fastest speed possible. He wanted to report it to Ling Lie as soon as possible so that the Ling Family would be prepared for it.

That was why even though Chester was further away from the Ling Family that he had made it to the villa earlier. The j.a.panese ninjas were just on their way when he arrived.

Ling Lie was in the middle of an excited conversation with Cui Lao about the wandering grandchild he had never laid eyes on when Ling Yue reached the Ling Family ancestral home.

The situation was dire. Ling Yue barged into Ling Lie's yard and gave him a simple and concise explanation.

Ling Lie knew bad things were going to happen immediately after he heard what Ling Yue had to say. He got Ling Zhen to arrange everything so that they wouldn't be caught off guard.

Ling Lie looked at Cui Lao with a questioning gaze. Cui Lao nodded, confirming his suspicions. "Family Head, I'm sure that the person who wiped out the Chen Family's villa in the southern suburbs and saved Second Master is definitely Young Master Ling Yun!"

The others might not know Chester, but Cui Lao knew him. He understood everything the instant he saw Chester.

Ling Lie was shocked. There were more than a hundred masters in that villa, amongst which, more than a dozen were of the Xiantian Realm. They were destroyed by his grandson alone?

Ling Lie felt as though he was dreaming. "Family Head, rest a.s.sured, I'll contact Young Master now and get him here as soon as possible to help out. The Chen Family won't be able to obtain an advantage as long as he gets here in time!"

However, why would Ling Yun keep his phone with him when he was battling? Of course, he would have put his phone in the spatial ring.

Cui Lao called both of Ling Yun's phones and found that they weren't in service. Cui Lao lost color. He knew that Ling Yun must have put away his phone.

The thirty-six j.a.panese ninjas had arrived at this point. They infiltrated the Ling Family's ancestral home and were fighting head-on with the Ling Family's first line of defense!

They might be ninjas, but they didn't even bother to hide their attack. They rushed into the villa and killed whoever they saw!

Ling Lie, Ling Yue, Cui Lao, Chester, and Ling Zhen charged to the front yard, but the j.a.panese ninjas had already breached the fifth courtyard!

"The people of the Ling Family would rather die standing than to kneel and beg for life! Kill!" Ling Lie roared with anger, drew his sword, and charged into the midst of the enemy!

The people of the Ling Family were pa.s.sionate. All of them were angry and resisted the ninjas desperately!

"Cui Lao, please protect my father. Men of sacrifice of the Ling Family, charge with me!"

Ling Zhen also disappeared within the midst of the enemy with a sword. He was even faster than Ling Lie!

Ling Yue might have just returned home, but he followed right on the heels of Ling Zhen. They fought with all they had, seeking not self-protection but to kill the enemy!

The hundred men of sacrifice trained by the Ling Family in secret over the past eighteen years had come in handy once more. They were dressed in khaki-colored warrior cloths and followed closely behind the two masters of the Ling Family, fighting against an enemy that was many times stronger than them! None of them retreated even one step!

The descendants of the Ling Family — Ling Yong, Ling Xiu, Ling Feng, and Ling Li — naturally had grouped together, protecting each other's backs. All of them had a sword in hand, their faces filled with hatred and anger, without any fear of death!

They had been at the brunt of humiliation and ridicule by the children of the other families for the past eighteen years! They had long had enough!

They would fight to the death even if they didn't have enough power to win!

However, the eldest grandson, Ling Hao, wasn't there. Neither was the youngest grandchild, Ling Xue, due to her missions with the Condor Team.

Cui Lao rushed into the battlefield silently, tightly guarding the family head, Ling Lie. The reflections of the swords shone on him, and the sound of blows being exchanged rang out. Shouts of killing, cries of pain, and the sounds of people being struck down. All of these brought him back to that fateful night eighteen years ago!

That was what Ling Yun saw at a thousand meters in the air!

b.l.o.o.d.y Battle! Death Battle!

Cui Lao had stood by and protected the Ling Family for more than thirty years. He knew that everyone in the Ling Family was unyielding and pa.s.sionate!

Two familiar cries broke out. Ling Lie swept his gaze only to see Ling Yong and Ling Feng hurt. He was now anxious!

"Cui Lao, why are you always around an old man? Go and protect my grandchildren instead!"

Ling Lie forced the two ninjas in front of him to retreat while he spoke telepathically with Cui Lao.

"Master, you…"

Cui Lao's eyes flashed with anger when he saw the children of the Ling Family hurt. He displayed the Celestial Destroyer Technique and the Blade That Severs Heaven and Earth immediately, chopping off the arm of a ninja. He then retreated back to Ling Lie's side.

"Don't worry, I won't die before seeing my precious grandson!" Ling Lie howled, his body emitting a powerful force. He flew to the front of a ninja who had just killed a man of sacrifice of the Ling Family and beheaded that ninja on the spot.

"Don't you forget, I was once at Xiantian Realm Level Four!" Ling Lie reminded Cui Lao!

Cui Lao gnashed his teeth and slashed two ninjas in front of him. He then held out two talismans towards Ling Lie!

Gold Talisman and Defense Talisman!

These were Level Five Talismans that Ling Yun created before he left Qingshui. He gave Cui Lao several bundles of each talisman for him to use during critical times.

Cui Lao activated the talismans and shouted at Ling Lie, "Family Head, don't forget to use the talismans I gave you!"

The types he gave Ling Lie were the Gold Talisman, Defense Talisman, and Fire Talisman.

Cui Lao then flew to Ling Yong and Ling Feng. He took out two Healing Talismans and healed them personally.

Cui Lao desperately protected these four descendants of the Ling Family because they would become the extended limbs of Ling Yun!

He took out a whole bundle of Healing Talismans and handed it to them. "Distribute these amongst you four. Stick them where you are injured and shout the incantation 'Come!' Understand?"

Ling Yong and Ling Feng were shocked. Were they dreaming? They could see their bones through the open wound just now, but it healed in the blink of an eye?

What was there to be afraid of if there was something so useful? Charge!

The four children of the Ling Family who were being protected by the men of sacrifice became excited at the same time. They gave a war cry and headed back onto the battlefield!
