Sitting cross-legged and floating mere centimeters from the ground Darc was only concentrating on his energy training at the moment and he ignored pretty much everything at the moment.

That is until Bulma actually used an air horn right in his face. That woke him up pretty fast.

And after he opened his eyes wide in shock and looked around in confusion, he could see some red feathers falling in front of him down to the ground. He saw Bulma and the Phoenix in front of himself.

"Woman, are you nuts!?", was heard from the red bird that was flying agitated around her and pecking her from time to time. Those pecks were actually leaving small marks on Bulma.

"I just wanted to wake Darc up. He´s been sitting there for hours now.", argued Bulma with the bird.

"And that's why you drag him out of meditation? Do you even know how hard it is to get into a deep enough one to get some results? And I also just made it myself comfy on his head and fell asleep! You got no tact, woman!", cried the bird out again and continued his barrage.

"Stop it already you d.a.m.n bird!" She smacked the immortal phoenix to the ground after getting annoyed enough. "Why are you even still around? And no one asked you to always sit on his head!", snorted Bulma.

"Ouch! d.a.m.n. So ungrateful!!", shouted the bird and flew back to Darc´s head as if being wronged and returning to its parent it started sulking there.

"What the h.e.l.l is going on? Bulma, didn't I tell you once already not to disturb me when I meditate? Do you want me to get some brain damage from these sudden interruptions? And you, Phoenix. Why do you always sit on my head?", said Darc a little bit annoyed by their bickering right after they woke him up.

"The spiritual energy that oozes from when you meditate is quite nice. It helps me grow and sleeping is so much easier with it.", answered the bird first.

Darc furrowed his brows. "So I am basically a cushion?"

The bird remained silent as if it knew if it said anything at this moment it would lose its place.

His furrow slightly lessened. "And you? What is so important that you wake me up?"

Bulma stared at him after that question and pouted a little that he reacted so annoyed to see her even if he did say not to wake him and she did try to fulfill that rule but what can she really do if a call comes for him and he just didn't wake up from his meditation.

She sighed shortly after. "You actually got a message from Arkis...Seems like your help is needed.", she said and narrowed her eyes.

Darc arched his eyebrows up. "How long was that ago?", he said and stood up. He grabbed the Phoenix and put it unto Bulma's head instead of his. He didn't have enough time to fool around now and started to move to his room.

Getting that bird placed on her head annoyed her a little, but since Darc became quite serious at this moment she didn't bicker about that stupid bird.

"About an hour ago...", she gave him as an answer to his question and followed him.

He entered his room and opened a safe in the corner where he took out some senzu beans. Luckily he already transported most of his stuff from his old room into his basically new one for better availability. Like in such situations.

"Alright, seems like something happened. And I just brought her back yesterday. I wonder what could bring her to call right the next day.", said Darc.

Bulma also frowned now. "So you told her only to contact you in an emergency?", she asked.

"Correct. Now I will be gone for a while again. Sorry that I have to leave you so soon.", he said with a wry smile and looked at her. He knew it wasn't an ideal time for such things to happen but he had his priorities for the moment.

"It's alright. You fulfilled your promise after all. So don't worry about me. But don't think this is a reason to neglect me. I still want you to come by from time to time...", she said headstrong but also got a little bit hesitant. "Just...dont die on me now after all this..."

Darc came closer to her and smiled softly. He gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Don't worry. I ain't dying with the energy I got from our last night." was added sheepishly with a grin and he teleported away right at that moment.

Bulma only stood there with widened eyes and a slight blush. Then she came back to herself.

"That idiot!", she shouted, became angry and clenched a fist after realizing what a dumb sentence he gave her for his departure. Hopefully, it wasn't his last or she would make it his last herself. Little did she know that his sentence actually was truth in its purest form.

Sensing his way through the galaxy and trying to find his ship was an easy task. After he teleporting to it he started searching for Arkis but she wasn't there so he started to feel her aura and pinpoint her location. It was a good thing that he could now feel her energy since he also could use the mixed energy type she used.

And it looked like he was nearly too late. He found her but her signature was pretty weak at the moment and that got him surprised. He also felt another strong energy nearby and prepared for the worst. So he prepared to be sent into s.p.a.ce and used his breathing technique just in case.

It turned out he wasn't in s.p.a.ce after the teleport and appeared on a metal surface. He looked around and saw that it was some kind of s.p.a.ce station or a facility. But he couldn't get a good look for now because right at that moment an energy ball was flying straight at him.

Jumping away he avoided the blast that incinerated ma.s.sive amounts of the facility. Darc immediately looked at the person who shot it.

It was a pretty short whitish colored alien that looked like a lizard since it had a lot of characteristics from one. The alien had a long tail for example that had a deep blue shade colored tip and traveling along it, it became whiter until it mixed with its main body´s color scheme which was pure white with the blue pattern still showing at some parts of its body.

The pattern and pretty much everything else about this alien actually looked a lot like Ichigo Kurosaki´s hollow form. The only real difference would be that on its head, as well as its arms and legs had some whitish blue stones embedded in its body and that it didn't wear a mask. One could see its red evil eyes directly with a smirk on its black colored lips. The slim lines running down its cheekbones to the base of its chin gave it even more of an intimidating look.

Darc actually gritted his teeth and frowned pretty deeply since the energy he felt right now let his hair stand on edge. This guy was no joke and Darc felt that he would die if he made some dumb move. If he guessed correctly. He got the attention of someone dangerous right here. And he wasn't the only one. There were still 4 other guys with strong signatures with him. One was injured, though. That should be the work from Arkis.

Arkis herself was lying a few meters away from him on the ground with severe wounds on her body.

"Oh, look who we have here. The knight in the shining armor, perhaps? It´s good to finally meet the person that is attacking my men and helping these bugs to fight against me.", the alien said and moved its tail to produce a whipping sound in the air. It had its arms in front of its chest and looked at him.

"I guess you are Glaze then.", said Darc slowly and let his eyes wander from him to the others beside him.

"Normally that's lord Glaze for people like you. But since I can feel your energy I do think you are worthy of your reputation. So I will allow such insolence. For this little while at least. Since you won't be living after this anyway. It's also very good that you came on your own. So I don't have to search for you and waste my time.", said Glaze to him and a cold killing intent emerged from him.

"Get rid of this guy. Go all out at once. I want to see to what extent this guy can strengthen himself. We don't want the same mistake to happen that already happened to you one time, right? Do you understand, Gaston?", he added after his glare and looked to his subordinates

Another Bull alien that looked a lot like the one that invaded earth nodded. "Yes, your lordship." Then he turned to Darc. "Let's kill this guy. But don't underestimate him. Surround him and block his advantage of speed if he is as annoying as that woman."

The 4 goons charged and surrounded him. Darc immediately went into his fighting posture and looked from right to left to see which of these guys dares to attack first. He wasn't worried about those flies but about their king.
