28 Breakthrough Iii

"So he left just like that," she murmured to herself.

She didn't have time to think further because of the soreness she felt down there. In fact, her whole body was sore. She stood up from the bed and found out that the sheets had been changed. She also didn't smell like s.e.x which was a good thing considering where she was.

She looked towards the bedside desk for her phone. That was when she found the note he left.

Rest well and eat well.

"That's all?"

"Rest well and eat well?"

"Are you regretting it now?"

"What did that even mean? Rest well and eat well?"

She felt the note was ridiculous, but she wasn't going to think about it.

She picked up her phone and saw missed calls from her two girls. They must had been worried about her when they didn't find her in the morning. She called Flora.

Flora: Hey Winnie. Are you okay?

Claudia: I'm fine. I came to the salon

Seraphina: Did he call you there?

Claudia: Bring me lunch and I'll tell you about it.

She was really famished after the intense exercise she was put through. She hung up and cleaned up herself, then tidied the whole room.

Her employees came in one after the other to prepare for opening. They didn't find it strange to see Claudia there so early. She had never missed opening since she setup the salon. They greeted her politely and went about their duties.

The girls finally arrived with a light lunch for Claudia. She wolfed down chicken fried rice and stepped it down with a cold bottle of sweet tea. She felt all the stress melt away after she was done.

"Spill it," Seraphina demanded.

"I gave my first time to Justin."

The girls weren't surprised by her revelation. It was going to happen sooner or later anyway.

She went on to talk about how he had called her out of the blue, and she leading him on, then the note he left.

"Don't make a.s.sumptions and beat yourself up about it. He came to you. That means he had reconsidered to a certain extent. He was clear about what the two of you did. He's probably out to sort out his mind. Don't be in a hurry."

This time, it was Flora who spoke. She definitely knew more about relations.h.i.+ps than her and Seraphina put together.

"He doesn't look irresponsible. Just wait for him. He'll come back," Seraphina added.

"I hope so."

Claudia worked the whole day and did as her girl friends said. She gave Justin the benefit of doubt and waited for him to come to her.

The salon closed at 8pm and the employees left at 9 after making sure everywhere was clean. Justin came in not long after and stood in front of her.
