65 A Weak Spo

This gap was not just about the difference between their combat points, but dealt with an all around change, as they were living things that were on different levels. It was similar to the difference between a superhero and a normal character in comics and movies... the normal person could only be bait. It was precisely because of this reason that, if they wanted to kill the demon Collic, they would need lots of preparation.

Steve was strong enough, and his progress had been improving by leaps and bounds. He was also one of the new recruits, who had the most potential to activate his cells to 100% in the shortest time possible.

But, Stuart needed a helper like him. Previously, he would've considered collaborating with Steve, but now that Steve's life and death was in his hands, he wanted to force Steve to be his slave.

"You want me to be your slave?" Steve asked coldly.

"That's right. You can only live if you become my slave." Stuart took out a circular bracelet and a bottle of serum, then said, "This is the Solution of the Heart Serum. Once you drink it, I will be able to sense any malicious thoughts that you have against me. Also, the slave bracelet. There are over a hundred ways to kill someone without a trace inside it. Wear it, and with one command from me, I can activate its power. Of course, I won't activate it if you're loyal and obedient to me."

"Besides, I can gift you countless treasures. Also, you were born a commoner, so you should know how rare training resources are. From now onwards, I can supply all of your training resource needs."

After hearing these things, Steve's eyes were filled with rage. He then asked sharply, "You want me to be your slave?!"

Being a slave was the lowest existence in Blue Star, meaning that one was without any freedoms or human rights. Once one was a slave, they had already lost the right to be treated as human, becoming a mere object or possession instead.

During Blue Star's darkest periods, as long as one was powerful, they could hold a bunch of slaves captive. Now, even though slavery had been banned, if someone were to serve under a n.o.ble or powerful being, they could sell themselves to them.

Even though the t.i.tle had changed, their life and death was still in the hands of others. Hence, it was no different from being a slave.

The only thing that was different was that official slaves could not be sold. But, these kind of transactions still happened on the black market.

"Life or death... You choose." Stuart laughed coldly.

"I choose to let you die!" Steve roared angrily.

He charged at Stuart like a warrior charging towards his death. As he did so, an icy smile appeared on Stuart's face.

Stuart then said, "If that's the case, I can only grant you your death wis.h.!.+"

Even though it was a pity to have one less helper, instead of leaving an open door to trouble behind, he would rather kill Steve!

"Laser Glaive!" Stuart grabbed on to a ball of light, which quickly changed into a white-blue laser glaive.

Holding the glaive in both hands, he charged towards Steve. Right at this moment, Stuart had not noticed that Steve had been calm all along, looking at him as if he were the prey.

"Data gathered successfully…a.n.a.lyzing complete…weakness locked on…prediction starting…" Right at the moment, the Heart of the Universe had finally gathered and announced Stuart's complete database.

Armed with all of this information, the Heart of the Universe had a.n.a.lyzed the Galaxy Storm Combat Armor's weakness. Even though the Galaxy Storm Combat Armor had shattered into pieces, its protective energy s.h.i.+eld was still working fine and showed no weak spots. So, even if Steve were to pierce past the protective armor, the injuries from his attack would be limited.

After the battle just now, the Heart of the Universe had finally found his fatal weaknesses. Inside Steve's eyes, five red markings were seen to appear on Stuart's body. These red marking signaled where his weaknesses were. One of the markings was the most important, as it would decide if the adverse situation could be turned around.

"Die!" Stuart shouted, as he sliced the laser glaive down. His stance was fierce, as if he wanted to chop Steve's waist completely in half.

Steve charged forward instead, as if rus.h.i.+ng to his death. Meanwhile, Lucy and Sofia, who were spectating, were worried.

"No! Come back!" Lucy shrieked.

She had just confirmed her relations.h.i.+p with Steve, the both of them having just shared the most intimate act. If she were to see Steve killed in front of her now, she might be broken-hearted forever, or even go mad!

Sofia's eyes widened, as she murmured to herself, "He would go to such lengths… For me…"

Suddenly, a crack appeared in her cold and empty soul, as if spring had arrived and the ice inside her was about to melt. In her eyes, Steve started fighting with Stuart because of her, and it was because of her that Steve was in such a predicament now.

Just when the three of them thought that Steve would be killed, Steve rushed forward and, turning 180 degrees, changed his direction, almost avoiding the laser glaive's path completely.

"Don't even think about dodging it!" Stuart roared coldly.

The laser glaive suddenly lengthened, slas.h.i.+ng Steve, who was about to successfully dodge it. However, Steve still managed somehow to escape behind Stuart.

The Claw Storm Attack and the Blade of the Spirit Hunter then combined together, creating the sharpest attack and piercing towards Stuart's shoulder.

Boom!

Thud!

The energy s.h.i.+eld had been pierced, as the Blade of the Spirit Hunter had pierced past the Galaxy Storm Combat Armor, driving itself deeply into Stuart's back shoulder muscles. Luckily, it only cause a small injury to Stuart.

However, Steve's motive was not to kill Stuart with this attack. Stuart had not noticed that a part of the armor on his shoulder had been destroyed, and the rejuvenation of that part of the armor had become slower than it had been before.

"Resistance is futile, so go and die!" Stuart shouted angrily, while he sent the laser glaive suddenly sweeping towards Steve's back.

Steve dodged it once again, then plunged the Blade of the Spirit Hunter into Stuart's left thigh, inflicting yet another small injury on Stuart. But, right then, Steve received another blow from Stuart, which resulted in a new wound forming on his shoulder.

After that, Steve kept finding chances to get nearer to Stuart, leaving small wounds and injuries all over his body. No matter who saw this tactic, they thought that Steve's actions were foolish. After all, who in the world would risk being killed just to leave tiny wounds that were useless on an opponent's body?

Regardless of these doubters, Steve persisted. By this time, he had almost been killed four times, just to leave four tiny wounds on Stuart's body!

But now, he finally saw his chance...
