This made Brandon very happy, as while Steve and the others were not paying attention, he ran towards that direction and cried out for help. "Friends! Help me! I am the heirs of a great and n.o.ble family. I was kidnapped by them! If you save me, my family will give you a great reward!"

As Steve and the others saw this, their faces all changed. They wanted to stop Brandon, but it was too late.

"There's a voice over there. Let's go and see who it is!"

"Don't let them find us!"

"Yes, we must never expose our secrets!"

Clearly, Brandon hadn't listened carefully to these people's voices. In his heart, he thought that these people were also adventure teams, and thus, his allies. He knew that, as long as he encountered an adventure team, he would be saved and could exact his revenge!

At that moment, the figures in the forest had finally rushed out and saw Brandon rus.h.i.+ng towards them. Right then, Brandon finally saw what they looked like.

Most of them had dark skin, like that of the night sky, and when they pa.s.sed through the gra.s.s and trees, their skin, like chameleons, would naturally turn to match the colors of the gra.s.s and trees! It was like they had their very own built-in camouflage!

"Demons!" Brandon screamed as his face went pale. He'd just gotten out of a demon's cave, only to run right into another h.e.l.l!

"Human beings!"

"There's a team of human adventurers here!"

"Don't let them run away! Our secrets can't be exposed!"

All of the demons saw Brandon and began shouting amongst themselves. Before Brandon could respond, the nearest demon suddenly pulled out a spear and ran it straight through Brandon's head!

Brandon's body fell down as all signs of life left his body instantly. Seeing this, Steve's and the others' facial expressions changed dramatically.

"Night Hidden Demons!" Jacob cried out in surprise.

"They're the scouting team of the demon's army. Run!" Steve recognized them at once.

He knew this because the recruit courses that he had been enrolled in had included courses that taught them how to distinguish between the demon race and the army. The Night Hidden Demons were naturally well-suited for scouting. Also, from their equipment, Steve could see at a glance that the Night Hidden Demons were the scouting team of the demon army.

Steve took a cursory look at them, quickly counting that the team had at least 20 people. Although he was confident that he could kill them, it would take a lot of time to kill the entire team.

Moreover, he knew that, during the time when they were fighting, even more demon troops would most likely arrive. They would not be able to escape then. Considering these things, without any hesitation, Steve took out a Suspension Spray Jet.

Upon seeing that Steve had taken out the Suspension Spray Jet, the Demon Scout Team reacted instantly...

"Don't let them run away!"

"Da*n it! Our actions are very secretive that we can never reveal our tracks."

"This military operation is very important and cannot be detected in advance by the human beings!"

"Kill them!"

As there was still some distance between them and it was too late to charge straight towards them, the Demon Scout Team took out a Demon Laser Guided Gun and locked onto Steve's group in an instant.

"Get up!" Steve screamed as he activated the Suspension Spray Jet and the intelligent driving system. His group then jumped onto the Suspension Spray Jet, while Steve himself stayed a the back of the vehicle.

Boom!

The Demon Laser Guided Gun fired, and a black destructive laser with lightning shot out faster than the speed of sound! The weapons of the demons were much stronger than the weapons of the same cla.s.s of human beings. In the face of the full-blown Demon Laser Guided Gun, Steve dared not resist.

"Blessed Ring of Earth!" Steve immediately activated the equipment on him, and the Blessed Ring of Earth activated a s.h.i.+eld of energy in front of him and his group.

Boom!

The Demon Laser Guided Gun landed on the s.h.i.+eld, and under the rebound effect, it suddenly turned and shot towards the direction of the scouting team!

"Da*n it!"

"Sh*t! Run!"

Everyone on the Demon Scout Team was shocked by this turn of events and fled in a hurry. However, many of the demons did not escape in time.
