23 Wharton Mall

Steve's nails lengthened suddenly and turned sharp and strong. Then, with a swipe, faint marks appeared on the steel walls. In contrast, Steve's nails were not damaged in the slightest.

"So, this is the Beast Soul Technique! Impressive indeed!"

Steve's face was full of excitement. This was the technique he had acquired when he killed the white-flamed cat. Its hardness and sharpness was even above F grade weapons.

"Ripping successive slashes!"

Steve wielded the long sword in his hands and slashed consecutively, causing deeper sword slash marks to appear on the steel wall.

"To think that the Beast Soul Technique can be paired with weapons, making them stronger!" Steve laughed and said.

The Beast Soul Technique, a black and white gas that could be attached to the hand, could also be attached on a sword. With this technique, Steve felt more confident about the recruits' ranking battle.

After a few hours of training, Steve's level of cell activation had improved by a whopping 8%, now reaching 40%, while his combat powers had increased to 182 and the Claw Storm Attack's combat power had increased by nearly 50 points! Also, as his skills and capabilities increased, the Claw Storm Attack's strength and power would also increase.

The recruits' ranking battle is getting nearer. For now, all my money and military merits are all spent, so if I want to improve my skills through other methods, I'll need to spend more money. So, I need to get more money!

After training was over, Steve started planning for the future. He was penniless now, and his ingredients could only last him three days at most. For the remaining three days, if he wanted to continue to improve his skills, he could only do so by using the fundamental armory or weaponry.

Things like the last trump card would only be effective in delivering the fatal blow, if it had not already been used or seen. This way, the opponent would not be able to know what to expect!

If Steve were to keep using the Claw Storm Attack before the compet.i.tion, the others would be able to see through the Claw Storm Attack's strengths and weaknesses beforehand, thus enabling them to be able to guard themselves against it.

When that moment comes, I won't need to think about defeating both Stuart and Sofia. Only by keeping the Claw Storm Attack a secret, until the last minute that I go against the both of them, will I be able to have a chance at defeating them by catching them unaware!

The Claw Storm Attack exceeded the F grade fundamental armory, which was his most important card. Now, Steve needed to test the responses to other techniques and armories. However, each technique was very expensive, as the prices of F grade techniques could range from ten million dollars to more than hundreds of millions of dollars!

Only by selling all of these serums will I be able to get more money to improve my skills rapidly.

Steve picked up the four remaining bottles of enhanced Subatomic Serums and headed towards the base business district. The military camp was situated on the outskirts of Stanlos Base Camp and served a preventative function.

At the center of Stanlos Base Camp was an enormous A grade light energy defence tower. The tower was created to absorb solar power and release energy at all times, thus forming a protective barrier around the base camp.

Be it the demons or the magical beasts, all creatures would be hard-pressed to break past these defense towers to sneak into the base camp. Besides, even if the demons and magical beasts were to infiltrate the base camp, the infiltrators would only get killed by the light energy defense tower.

Only when the supernatural state was activated, or if hundreds of level-5 evolved beings were gathered, would they be able to infiltrate the A grade light energy defense tower. If that situation were to ever happen, Stanlos Base Camp would invaded and at the mercy of the infiltrators.

Stanlos Base Camp had a total population of 500 million people. The southern area is a business district, making it the busiest place every day.

Masa Mall, the mall that pharmacists gathered at the most, sold tons of serums everyday. A lot of pharmacists would also buy and sell their serums here. Also, because Masa Mall could provide other specialty ingredients from other base camps, one could buy all the things that are not available at other malls there.

Legend has it that the reason why Masa Mall had so many ingredients, is because it was a huge corporation, run by a group of supernatural beings. Masa Mall had a department that specifically buys serums, and since the prices were reasonable, a lot of pharmacists would sell their serums directly to the mall.

Steve put on his clown mask and walked into the purchasing station, declaring, "I want to sell Subatomic Serums." Steve was at the counter, trying to address the male clerk, Martin, who had dozed off momentarily.

Martin was awakened by the sudden noise and looked at Steve with a bit of displeasure. With a glance, he quickly measured Steve up.

If a pharmacist, who was acknowledged by the Pharmacists Guild, were to sell their serums at the Masa Mall, they would be wearing a F grade or above badge.

This is due to the fact that the badge served as their proof of ident.i.ty and skills, which would then allow them to sell their serums at a higher price. When facing these important people, Martin would obviously treat them with respect.

But, looking at Steve, who was wearing a clown mask, as if he was afraid of people discovering what he looked like, Martin showed him about the same respect as he would a beggar. After all, this dude was obviously a lower tier citizen, and these kind of people could never be pharmacists!

Normally, there could only be one possibility when these people came to sell their serums, and that was that the serums that they were selling were stolen goods. Martin had met with very many of these situations over the years, so it was normal to him.

'Right, take out your serums,' Martin said, as he looked at Steve with contempt. He had already pegged Steve as a thief in his heart.

Steve wrinkled his brows, displeased with Martin's att.i.tude. The reason why he wore a mask was to prevent others from knowing his ident.i.ty. If the others knew his real ident.i.ty, they would be able to find out that he had not studied pharmaceutics before.

For someone who had not been formally educated before to be able to cultivate such high quality serums, it would inevitably instill covetousness and greed within others, as they would want to know his secret!

Hence, Steve only wore the mask to protect himself, not to be a thief! Even though he was displeased with Martin's att.i.tude, Steve still placed the four bottles of enhanced Subatomic Serums on the table.

"Enhanced Subatomic Serums, which are two times as potent as normal Subatomic Serums," Steve said.

"Hahaha… these are Subatomic Serums? Two times as potent as normal Subatomic Serums?" Martin looked at the serums before him doubtfully. "The Subatomic Serums that I've touched are more than the women that you've touched, so did you think you could come here and trick me with these things?"

Subatomic Serums were usually green, sometimes blue, but were never this kind of pearly multi-colored serum that he was looking at now. In his eyes, Steve was pa.s.sing off a blend of serums as a Subatomic Serum.

Steve's face was gloomy as he said, "You'll know if it's an enhanced Subatomic Serum, at least once you let the mall's pharmacist check it."

"The pharmacists are important and busy people, they don't have time to help you authenticate your serum." Martin mocked him. "Besides, asking a pharmacist to authenticate serums costs money, the lowest fee being 1 million in original gold! Can you afford that?"
