Steve himself was even surprised by the strong showing of support. He hadn't expected so many people would come here to support him.

"Is that not the case? Then, what is the truth?" Lawrence laughed sarcastically. "Video and photo evidence has been posted on the Internet. Everyone has witnessed Steve bullying the Black Tiger Store's a.s.sistants for no reason. Steve even beat up the members of the Black Tiger Combat Unit who were there for negotiation."

He then added, "Everything is well-founded. Do you still want to deny it? Or, do you have evidence to prove that this is not the case?

Lawrence had no fear that they would, as he had carefully deleted all of the evidence. Even if Steve knew the truth, he could not prove it. Without real evidence, there was nothing that Steve could do to rebuke Lawrence.

"Yes! He bullied us at the Black Tiger Store, then sued us." Jim stood up at this moment and said with an innocent look, "My boss is going to dismiss me, and it is entirely his fault."

"He almost killed me last night. How could such a cruel man be a good man?" Eric also stood up and cried out.

Initially, the veterans who were watching from the side started to wonder about the authenticity of the rumors, especially when they saw this huge group of people supporting Steve. But, seeing Jim and Eric coming forward with their complaints, the crowd soon began to lean towards Lawrence's side once more.

"I'm not mistaken. Steve is a big villain! His moves were lethal! Even my lungs were torn by him. If he dared to do this to me in the military base camp, what if he also kills others on the outside?" Eric kept trying to incite the crowd of onlookers.

When people see the strong bullying the weak, they tend to stand up for the weak. So, Jim and Eric played the role of victims who were being bullied by Steve. In this way, they painted a picture as if Steve was an absolute villain.

"You... You're lying! I can prove that Steve is a good man!" Vivien summoned all of her courage to stand behind Steve and point at Jim. "He sold me an inferior Subatomic Serum at the Black Tiger Store. Steve sued the Black Tiger Store in order to seek justice for me."

She then added, "Last night, they ambushed Steve and me with two other people from the Black Tiger Combat Unit. They were trying to teach us a lesson and force us to withdraw our lawsuit."

When the crowd saw Vivien, they felt as if a pure angel had just come to the world.

"What a lovely angel!"

"The hateful Black Tiger Store deceived such a lovely angel. Steve stood up for the sake of this angel to seek justice!"

"Such a pure angel would not lie."

Sometimes beauty could be a powerful weapon, and though many people initially believed the rumors, when Vivien appeared to support Steve, some of them immediately believed that Steve was innocent. This was because they felt that such an angel would not lie!

Among the crowd, however, one person was in a state of denial and oblivion...

"Who is this beautiful angel? The girl who I scammed yesterday? That's impossible!" Jim was confused, as Vivien looked totally different from how she had looked only yesterday.

Lawrence had not expected that when Vivien appeared, so many people would start to believe Steve. This had definitely messed up his plans!
