"Let me introduce myself. My name is Lawrence, and I am the captain of Black Tiger Subunit two. Last night, you beat up my teammates. However, as they are inferior to you, I can only blame them for their loss." Lawrence's tone became colder and his eyes filled with ferocious light. He then added, "But, you landed Wally in jail, and that's too much to let slide!"

After all, Lawrence had spent a lot of money to get Wally and the others out! But, as Wally's charges were quite serious, he was likely to face jail time. Steve remembered that Wally was the one who had pulled his gun out last night.

"He attacked some of the recruits in the military base, and he also used thermal weapons! He deserves such a punishment," Steve said coldly.

Luckily, Wally hadn't opened fire. If he had, the charges would be even worse.

"You're right. He really does deserve to be punished for breaking the law. However, you have repeatedly undermined our good deeds and tried to cut off our source of funds. This is an issue that must be resolved!" Lawrence's eyes were cold.

"How do you seek to resolve it?" Steve asked him directly.

"My request is very simple, since it has come to this. I say that we PK once and for all." Lawrence shrugged his shoulders and stretched out his hand. "I know your Original Gravity Tower results. Since you've gone to the Original Gravity Tower before, you should know the rules of PK."

"Why should I PK with you?" Steve asked icily. "This whole issue was caused by your mistakes, so I don't see the need for me to PK with you."

"No, no, no, no, you have to PK at least one round with me. Otherwise, I won't guarantee that your friends will escape from harm." Lawrence looked coldly at Viven, who was right beside Steve.

Steve burst out in anger and said, "Don't you dare try to touch any one of them!"

"Haha, also, didn't you want the Blood-Sucking Gra.s.s? I can offer that as the prize. You win, and it's yours. At the same time, I promise that the Black Tiger Subunit two will not attack your women," Lawrence laughed and said. "Also, let's add 5,000 contributions points to that bet. If you win, the Blood-Sucking Gra.s.s and 5,000 contribution points shall be yours!"

He then added, "If you lose, my request is very simple. You just have to ask the beautiful angelic lady to withdraw her lawsuit."

This bet appeared to be a real bargain for Steve. However, Steve knew that things were not always as simple as they appeared. If Lawrence dared to give such seemingly favorable conditions, he must be sure that he could win.

But, Steve didn't want Vivien, Lucy, and Sofia to be threatened. He also knew that he couldn't protect them every day. Moreover, even if they won the lawsuit, the Black Tiger Combat Unit would find another chance to retaliate against them in the future.

They would most likely never let this issue go! Thus, after examining the various factors of the situation, Steve said coldly, "I agree to your challenge!"

"Hahaha, nice! We'll be waiting for you at the Original Gravity Tower." With a laugh, Lawrence turned and left with the Black Tiger Subunit two.

After they left, the recruits were abuzz!

"Steve, you are too reckless! Although Lawrence is the captain of the second subunit, it is rumored that his basic cell value has exceeded 480 points!" Aaron came forward with a sigh.

"How did you get into a feud with the Black Tiger Combat Unit?" Andrew frowned.

Vivien lowered her head and looked at Steve apologetically. "I'm sorry that l dragged you into this."

"You didn't drag me into it. I agreed to it because I needed the Blood-Sucking Gra.s.s." Steve laughed and rea.s.sured her.
