180 Understanding The Gravity Tower

Steve agreed with her words, as he had seen the Lemuria civilization, so he naturally understood how powerful the ancient civilization was. The ancient relics that had been left behind by the t.i.tan Clan on the Blue Star Continent were no less exquisite than those from the Lemuria civilization.

Thus, if the inheritance of the t.i.tan Clan could be obtained, many problems of human genetic evolution could be resolved! Great leaps and bounds would then take place in evolutionary methods, Fundamental Techniques, and so on!

However, the basic cell value of 1,000 points had never been achieved by anyone before. So, it seemed like an ideal value that no one could ever reach!

The reason why humans firmly believed that the basic cell value could reach 1,000 points was that, something within the ancient relics that were left behind by the t.i.tan Clan evidently showed them that the maximum limit of the basic cell value was 1,000 points.

"Since this goal apparently does indeed exist, I believe that mankind will be able to achieve it in the future, and once the first person achieves the goal, there will be a steady stream of talented people who will follow suit!" Steve said.

Audrey nodded and said, "Although the 1,000 basic cell value is legendary, human beings have been progressing, so they will most likely be able to achieve it in the future."

They soon moved on to another topic...

"On the first floor of the Original Gravity Tower, there are many ranking lists on display. They include the personal combat ranking, personal basic cell value ranking, group battle ranking and contribution points ranking. Once you are ranked on any of the lists, you will be rewarded with corresponding contribution points every month," Audrey said.

She then added, "Not only can the contribution points be used in the training sessions in the Original Gravity Tower, they can also be used in exchange for ancient weapons. The categorization of ancient weapons is very detailed, however, as it can be difficult for ordinary people to access the ancient relics. This is why the categorization became generalized. For instance, F-cla.s.s weapons should be divided into eight small cla.s.ses..." What Audrey was speaking about now, Steve had already learned about from the Apollo Battles.h.i.+p. In addition to ordinary weapons, F-cla.s.s wa also divided into seven other cla.s.ses.

"So, one can exchange points for ancient weapons of Cla.s.s 5 and above?" Steve could not help but ask.

"Yes, indeed. However, weapons above Cla.s.s 5 are extremely precious, so very few people can get them. Cla.s.s 6 and Cla.s.s 7 are even harder to get. In addition to contribution points, some of the weapons require additional conditions for an exchange." Audrey sounded apologetic.

Basically, the contribution point system was a way to encourage soldiers to improve in the Original Gravity Tower. As such, there were two kinds of missions in the Original Tower Square. The first kind were those that were strange and hard to accomplish. These tasks were released by the main system of the Original Gravity Tower, while the second kind were the tasks that were issued by the military base camp.

The missions issued by the military base camp also made use of the contribution points system. However, the military base camp were not the ones that created the contribution points. Instead, when the soldiers completed a mission, the camp would deduct a small portion of their contribution points as tax.

One with a higher evolutionary level would be a.s.signed a more difficult mission, so completing it would mean that they received more contribution points. As such, the instructors and officers in the military base camp had gained a lot of contribution points.

Therefore, over the years, the military base camp had acc.u.mulated a large amount of contribution points, which were enough for them to issue various missions. Of course, the main reason why the military base camp had acc.u.mulated so many contribution points was because they wanted to exchange them for more technologies to use within the main system of the Original Gravity Tower.

After explaining the first floor of the Original Gravity Tower to Steve, Audrey began to talk about other aspects of the tower. "The Original Gravity Tower is divided into seven main levels, which are each subdivided into 10 sub-levels."

Each main level had a 100 basic cell value as its limit, while each sub-level had a 10 basic cell value as its limit. The Original Gravity Tower, including the first level, had a total of 71 levels, with every 10 levels being divided by a main level.

Steve had briefly heard of the Original Gravity Tower from Kane before. However, he finally understood it clearly now.

Audrey continued. "When you enter the second level, you can choose between two modes. The first mode is the training mode. There is a big difference between training here on the inside versus on the outside. The higher the level, the more benefits it has. The second mode is the challenge mode. If you want to get to a higher level, you have to face the challenge to get to a higher level..."

Steve understood clearly now. For example, the first level would be suitable for people with basic cell values between 300 to 310 points. When one wished to enter the second level, one had to pa.s.s a challenge. Only people with a basic cell value of 310 to 320 were deemed suitable for moving on to the second level.

However, it did not mean that one with a basic cell value of 300 to 310 would have to train in the first level. Instead, it meant that, if you wished to enter the second level, you would need to have at least 300 basic cell value in order to take up the challenge.

Thus, if one with a basic cell value of only 300 was strong enough to pa.s.s the challenge, he or she would be allowed to enter the next level for training. The higher the level, the more benefits it entailed!

"The level challenges of the Original Gravity Tower are always dependent on one's own strength, not by external forces. As such, there are very few soldiers who can pa.s.s them," Audrey explained.
