105 The Impact Of The Beast Tide

Steve's face changed immediately, as he opened the maps and linked the bracelet to the monitoring cameras. This would allow him to keep track of what was going on in the hunting grounds at all times.

Whoos.h.!.+

A large map appeared in front of him. The areas above the ninth layer on the map had turned red, while the fifth layer had turned purple. The specific area that he was in currently had turned black, meaning that it was extremely dangerous.

Many of the surveillance cameras that had been planted carefully throughout the hunting grounds had been destroyed by the magical beasts, so the situation could only be roughly a.n.a.lyzed from above.

Although this was only a F-grade beast tide and no evolved-level magical beasts had yet appeared, when faced with such a fierce beast tide, it would extremely dangerous for students, no matter which area they were in!

In particular, Steve's area was closest to the magical beast mountains, which naturally made it the most dangerous area. Moreover, this area was the farthest away from the base security area, so the journey back was bound to be filled with all sorts of dangers.

Right then, Elizabeth broke Steve's train of thought, asking, "Brother, what should we do now?"

Although she usually carried herself with an air of maturely, she was only a 15-year-old girl after all. So, no matter how mature and calm she usually was, Steve wasn't surprised that she was still panicking in the face of the situation.

"Don't worry. As long as I'm here, I'll get you back safely." Steve took Elizabeth's hand and hugged her, attempting to calm her down.

As she felt the warmth of Steve's arms around her, her fl.u.s.tered heart calmed down. She felt an unprecedented sense of security, as if Steve could solve anything.

"Let's go, as the house won't be able to last long. Let's meet up with Selma." Steve tugged Elizabeth out of the back door, where there less dangerous magical beasts were gathered. When the door opened, a group of magical beasts immediately growled, looking at the pair with fierce hostility.

Roar!

Grrrr!

There were two beasts in front of them. One was a wild boar beast with a huge head and tusks, while the other was a monkey monster with wings made out of branches. Upon seeing them, the beasts charged towards Steve and Elizabeth.

The magical beasts in the beast tide had entered a rampage state. They would attack any enemy that stood in their ways, not caring if the enemy was stronger than them or not. Seeing that both of the attacking creatures were elite magical beasts, Steve rushed forward to open up a path, Elizabeth following closely behind.

"Go to h.e.l.l!" Steve shouted, as he sent the Blade of the Spirit Hunters chopping down, killing the two magical beasts in a blink of an eye. The smell of their blood agitated the surrounding magical beasts, attracted even more of them to draw near.

Awoo…Awoo…

After a while, five or six Blue Rain Wolves, each burning with blue flames, charged towards them. Following them were all kinds of magical beasts, including crocodile beasts with eight arms that could stand up, giant Ghostfaced spiders! All in all, there were about 20 to 30 magical beasts surrounding them, all of which were attacking them viciously!

Steve rushed forward. Although the magical beasts could not harm him, there were so many of them, so he did not know how long it would take to subdue all of them. If he were to get injured in the process, the situation would become even worse.

Steve suddenly felt as if he were in a zombie movie that he had seen in his previous life. Right then, he and Elizabeth were surrounded by magical beasts, which were rus.h.i.+ng towards them endlessly.

Just then, a huge chariot charged towards them, mowing down all of the magical beasts in its path!

"Mr. Steve! Miss Elizabeth! Jump in!" The door of the chariot opened to reveal Lauren, who was shouting hastily to Steve and Elizabeth.

Selma, who was also in the chariot, quickly opened the back seat, took out her machine gun, and kept shooting at the magical beasts to cover them. Steve held onto Elizabeth as they hurried into the huge chariot.

Once they were inside, Selma hastily closed the door and shouted, "Uncle Lauren, let's go!"

Lauren directed the huge chariot forward, mowing down even more of the magical beasts on their way out.

"Thanks a lot!" Steve thanked them both.
