Chapter 766 Is it Worth it?

Araz weakly lay on the shattered terrain. He kept whimpering and twitched like a small dog that had been run over by a construct, but because his body was big as ten meters long, the scene appeared quite vivid and disheartening. He twitched and tossed, trying to quell the rampant darkness energy that was trying to corrode his organs.

Due to exhaustion of the energy within his body, he was unable to quell Nadia's attack as it wreaked havoc inside, corroding his magical beast meridian points and vein pathways, and her final attack that made his organs shudder left even the little amount of energy in his body scatter chaotically.

Nadia blinked her eyes as she felt, 'The blood within me has calmed down...'

She closed in and floated above Araz as her Twin-Tailed Dusk Wolf's majesticness and dark fur remained unharmed. The sight she was observing was miserable, to say the least, and even though Araz had disrespected her and her master, an ounce of pity flashed past her eyes, and she felt a little bit uncomfortable at the thought of killing Araz.

'Is it because of my bloodline?'

Thinking for a few seconds about what to do, her narrowed eyes widened as a golden glint flashed, "It's your last chance..."

"Surrender and apologize to master while bowing, or else give your life for the disrespect you have shown to my master."

Davis blinked on hearing her statement.

'Hey! That's a Peak-Level Seventh Stage Soul Essence there! How can you let it get away!? You have enmity with him!!' He inwardly shouted.

He had curbed himself from targeting the numerous soul essence, but that didn't mean that he didn't feel greed for this soul essence as it would help him grow a lot.

Perhaps Araz's Soul Essence could even compare to a Low-Level Eighth Stage Soul Essence because of the fact that he's a King-Tier Magical Beast. Davis didn't know it for sure as he hadn't confirmed it. However, he was more than fifty percent sure that it would be the case.

But, it was Nadia's own choice to make as she was the one who was humiliated, and it was her revenge, not his... Unless she pa.s.sed on the baton to him, he felt getting involved in her decisions would not be doing justice to her.

Nevertheless, he couldn't help but sigh in relief.

Nadia was still the same magical beast he had seen. A sympathetic yet ruthless magical beast.

He was rather worried that she would become a cold killing beast after becoming a Queen, so it was heartening to see that she was the same magical beast he decided to take as a Magical Beast Mount.

If there weren't a sympathizing ability in her emotional intelligence to both the humans and magical beasts she knew, he wouldn't have produced the idea of making her a Magical Beast Mount!

For ten seconds, Araz struggled to stand up with all four legs, and under the observation of his own kin, he felt shame well up within him. He slowly prostrated himself despite the worsening injuries. However, no words came out of his mouth.

His ground his teeth, but it was unknown if it was due to pain or experiencing endless humiliation at this moment.

"Say it..." Nadia's eyes coldly flashed as she lifted up her paw that possessed sharp claws clad in darkness.

Her dark claws gleamed as it was illuminated by the moon, glowing with killing intent. Her claws were as if the blade clung above the gallows, ready to be plunged to sever one's head!

Araz almost blew up in anger, but in contrast, weakly whimpered, "I apologize, human..."

Once he said these words, overwhelming humiliation enshrouded him!

Tears couldn't help from fall from his eyes, and because of the exhaustion of energy and broken mental capacity, he directly fainted.

Nadia's narrowed eyes relaxed before she dropped her paw. Then feeling that Araz would soon die if she left him like this, she removed her dark energy that was wreaking havoc in his body and blinked away to Davis.

She floated beside him before a dark light illuminated her. She instantly changed to her human form and said, "Master, I decided not to kill the Twin-Tailed Dusk Wolf's Clan Leader."

Davis coldly laughed, "What if he comes seeking revenge?"

Nadia's eyes flashed with a cold yet confident light, "At that time, perhaps, I would've already reached the next stage while he stays the same...."

"Hahaha!" A burst of laughter left Davis's mouth.

Nadia was as arrogant as ever. Her meaning was clear that she could easily kill him in the future if she wanted to do so... What's a King-Tier Magical Beast when it's way below her in strength? There was nothing she needed to worry about.

Davis could see that although her King-Tier transformation didn't affect her sympathetic view, it greatly affected her temperament!

'She's a magnanimous queen...' Davis ended his short burst of laughter and looked at the bloodied and fainted Araz.

"That said, you certainly are ruthless, Nadia. That injury caused by your golden-black horn alone caused his vitality to drop by thirty percent and considering that he could not heal himself like a light-attributed magical beast..."

"... He does not have much chance to recover his strength in a short period of time as he would have to concentrate on diverting his energy to healing his body through the body's own regenerative prowess."

"Wouldn't the sea magical beasts run amok in the Moonlight Mountain and lay waste to this Twin-Tailed Dusk Wolf Clan?"

Nadia became blank as her expression froze.

She didn't consider this point at all. She realized that her act of mercy didn't change anything in the long run. Her eyelids trembled for a moment, but it stopped.

"This alpha once gave me a three-month reprieve, and it saved him from death in the end. Anything that happens further doesn't concern me..." She uttered in a monotonous voice.

Davis chuckled, "I'll say what will happen to Araz from now... He will fail in defending against the sea magical beast tide, and have his kin sacrificed to help him escape or sacrifice himself to have his clan escape..."

"Either way, you'll earn his hatred and ire... Is it even worth to leave him alive?"

Nadia's expression slowly changed as she heard the sequence of events buy she retorted in the end.

"Master doesn't understand the law of survival in the Magical Beast World. It was his wrong to disrespect master and me, and he deserves to experience whatever struggles that might come at him. If he wanted to not have a difficult future, then he should've not provoked us, especially master."

"It's his own fault for attracting this mess..."

Davis became speechless. He perfectly understood her point of view and the law of survival, but what was the point in letting him miserably stay alive?

Especially when the seed of hatred was already planted and might erupt in the future, he wanted to make no mistake. He felt that she shouldn't let Araz live and instead kill to end his misery. He then would've gained Araz's Soul Essence, but the thing is, he wanted to respect Nadia's wishes.

Besides, he currently had no use for Peak-Level Seventh Stage Soul Essence that's close to Low-Level Eighth Stage in quality, so he was able to curb his greed as well.

Davis furrowed his brows as he felt that their perspectives were different. There was no way he could make her understand the predicament and uselessness of her decision easily.
