Chapter 1307 - Aurelius's Stand

Aurelius's gentle smile froze while Brandis Mercer became confused as he looked at Aurelius before he returned his gaze.

"Tina! What are you saying...!?"

Tina Roxley's expression became determined as she raised her head.

"Father, I've kept quiet all this time because I didn't want to worry or burden you, nor did I have evidence, but now that it reached this point, I feel that there is no need to hide it."

"Tina, what are you saying!?" Aurelius's expression shook, "I'm your uncle! How could I l.u.s.t after you?"

"It was right after I took care of Aurelius when the second divination about me failed to happen while he spat a mouthful of blood. At first, I simply thought Aurelius consoled me, but he had the gall to touch me inappropriately. I kindly advised him to go look for other women, and from that point onward, he had been strangely good to me, buying me expensive resources even if I refused."

"The last point, you should be clear of it, father..."

Brandis Mercer narrowed his eyes as he recalled. Indeed, Aurelius was strangely clingy to Tina Roxley these past few months, but he thought that it was because he was protecting her from those miscreants in his stead!

He didn't imagine that it would be like his daughter said as he had a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"Tina! I'm your uncle! It is extremely normal for me to buy you things! How could you slander me like this!?" Aurelius waved his hand as anger and disappointment became apparent on his face.

Brandis Mercer didn't know what to say as his expression trembled. Wasn't the topic on the blonde-haired youth? Why did it suddenly change into a new one that he had no prior knowledge of? He was finding it difficult to keep up as he looked at the both of them.

"Slander...?" Tina Roxley's expression became volatile as she clenched her fists, "Then swear upon your heart and the heavens that you did not l.u.s.t after me. I heard swearing was deadlier for Mystic Diviners than normal people. I wonder if you can do it...?

Aurelius's expression shook as he became tongue-tied, not knowing what to say at this moment. His hesitation for a second was noticed by all, including Brandis Mercer, whose expression changed into an ugly one.

"Father may think that your sworn brother's intentions are n.o.ble, but ever since the second divination failed, I could sense it..." Tina Roxley's expression shook as she clenched her fists, "His eyes are the same as that b.a.s.t.a.r.d who tried to violate my little sister and me...! I could never mistake that look of l.u.s.t in my life!"

Brandis Mercer's expression shook as he cast an angered look at his sworn brother.

"Aurelius, I know that you're a womanizer, but you had the gall to behave wrongly with my daughter!?"

"No... I...!" Aurelius was still at a loss as he didn't think that he would be cornered at this moment.

In truth, he didn't even know that Tina Roxley had caught onto his intentions while he was trying to make her melt towards him while buying her all those resources. His l.u.s.t towards her grew day by day the moment he decided she was his woman. He would protect her and pamper her while she would aid his cultivation as a Mystic Diviner.

It was a win-win situation in his mind, and that was why he had tried so hard to root out the source of all 'evil', this blonde-haired youth, out of her mind!

'It's not supposed to be like this...'

Aurelius trembled as he thought, his years of work crumbling in front of his eyes.

He could simply admit that he l.u.s.ted after her using the front of a womanizer even if he didn't swear towards the heavens, but that would mean that any reason he gave regarding the blonde-haired youth that comes out of his mouth would undoubtedly be a lie!

They would become united, and he would have to sit in a corner, crying that the woman he had tried to please so much for her unique soul would now belong to another man.

He had been checkmated by that one single question of hers while his hesitation told everyone that he was in the black!

His expression became ugly as he smiled.

"Tina, Tina, Tina... You should've just obediently become my woman instead of waiting for a b.a.s.t.a.r.d like him. Sigh..."

He even sighed, looking utterly calm right now as he smiled.

"Aurelius, you motherf.u.c.ker! How dare you!?"

Intense flames of anger blazed out of Brandis Mercer's hands!

Right now, he felt so betrayed, feeling like he had eaten s.h.i.+t. He had treated Aurelius like a real brother, but to think that it had ended up like this in the time he wasn't paying attention.

He felt incredibly angered at himself that he flew to him without thinking and released a blazing punch that carried immense hatred!

There was no need to live under the same sky!

"No!~"

Tina Roxley shouted while Aurelius's expression changed, but he didn't defend and instead had a wide, ugly smile on his lips, looking as if he welcomed the attack.

Brandis Mercer reacted as he came out of his reverie. However, it was already too late!

*Shhh!~*

Suddenly, the flames dispersed as if someone had blown them away with their mouth while Brandis Mercer's figure became normal as the flames surrounding him were extinguished. However, Brandis Mercer was locked in mid-air, still posing as if he were going to punch Aurelius.

"I understand your anger, Brandis Mercer, because I feel the same. However, you shouldn't point the end of the blade towards yourself if you're going to kill a person. That's not good if you want to live past this particular moment..."

Brandis Mercer heard that young and confident voice that shook his heart. He finally recalled what Aurelius told him about having a protective artifact that could mark, and his expression went awry.

He was almost about to be marked by the Heaven Gazing Sect's 'heaven's gaze' mark! If something like that had happened, he was basically finished!

He cast a thankful glance at the blonde-haired man, but on the other side, Aurelius was basically trembling while his expression became ugly.

"K-King Soul Stage...!"

His lips quivered as he pointed at the blonde-haired youth, "You! You're certainly an undying b.a.s.t.a.r.d who possessed this body!"

He was utterly horrified while both Tina Roxley and Brandis Mercer became stunned at the revelation! The blonde-haired youth was at the King Soul Stage!?

There was a Soul King right beside them all this time when they thought that he was a Law Sea Stage Expert!?

"Speak for yourself..."

Davis simply uttered and waved his hand, a radiant light appearing above his hands as it simply floated, looking holy and divine before it burst apart into tiny particles that floated away into the void.

The next moment, the living light in Aurelius's light faded, replaced with a dull light. His heart skipped a beat only for a moment before it began to beat again in a continuous rhythm. However, he looked no longer horrified or shaken.

Instead, his expression became one of indifference as he kneeled on the floor, "Master..."

At this moment, Davis's focus wasn't on Aurelius becoming his master or reverently calling him master but on another thing. He confirmed that even distance between two Territories didn't matter to Fallen Heaven. The moment he used his main body to enslave Aurelius while Fallen Heaven acted according to his instructions, Aurelius instantly became his slave without any time delay.

If the distance of two Territories didn't slow down Fallen Heaven by even a second, would three of four Territories do?

Davis thought but failed to arrive at an answer as he turned to look at the two dumbfounded people who looked at Aurelius. Obviously, they were deep in disbelief that Aurelius had become a slave?

"I-Is he acting...?"

Brandis Mercer murmured, feeling deep disbelief, but the moment he once again realized that the other party who released that strange, holy light was a Soul King, he gulped, not daring to look.

If this Soul King was an old monster as Aurelius screamed, then they were really screwed as it didn't matter if the Thousand Pill Palace came to his help. They would probably curry favor with the Soul King and sell their lives off instead!

"Well then, I have made this Mystic Diviner a mindless slave, so there should be no lies when I ask the questions that I needed to know, and if anyone has questions for him as he was once a sworn brother and an uncle, you can go ahead and ask him questions but before that..."

Davis saw Tina Roxley with a complex expression on his face.

He was actually feeling hurt after receiving her confused look towards him. It was as if he wanted her to believe that he was the real person and not an old monster.

What kind of sorcery is this? This is still something he couldn't wrap his head around, but the only thing he knew is that Tina Roxley isn't capable of something like hexing him, so he didn't blame her.

He returned his gaze to Aurelius.

"Did you cast any kind of technique on me or the blonde-haired youth who appeared in the divination you apparently made for Tina Roxley?"

"... No..."

A lifeless answer echoed out without any hesitation but a bit of delay.

Davis closed his eyes, finally understanding that something was wrong on his end. However, since he didn't know the source of these strange feelings and these feelings only appeared upon meeting Tina Roxley after he made a breakthrough to the King Soul Stage, making him think that it likely had something to do with tracing his past fate.

Right now, he was grasping on empty straws through speculating, so he felt that he couldn't be too sure about it.

Tina Roxley saw him close his eyes, and with the question he asked, she came to realize that he was truly fated to her once as fate ordained. This was already something that she was bent upon believing, but if he was not himself but an old monster, as Aurelius said...

That made her feel extremely scared.

"Are you really Alchemist Scythe?" Tina Roxley realized that she never asked this question.

Davis reacted to her question as he opened his eyes, a wry smile appearing on his face.

"That was a name I used to conceal my true ident.i.ty, but yes, I was Alchemist Scythe. Now I no longer go by that name but my birth name..."

Tina Roxley's heart shook as she received his confirmation. Right now, all she wanted to do was believe his words, for when he said that he needed some time as he didn't know what to think of her, she was already convinced that he was an upright youth like she had seen in the divination and even dreamed of.

An old monster would've taken advantage of her at that moment when she became defenseless, without a doubt!

"What's your birth name...?" Tina Roxley's amethyst eyes shone with expectations.

Unknowingly, a bright smile appeared on Davis's face that entranced Tina Roxley.

"Davis Loret..."
