Chapter 448: Think About Yourself

"And her CTF isn't perfect. It has limits on the number of people it could take, but more importantly, it takes up too many space stones. And mind you, too many." Blue Flash emphasized.

Varian nodded.

"Too many in the sense that I sold everything I own to buy the space stones for CTF." Blue Flash gnashed her teeth and said.

"When?!" Varian asked in shock.

"When you talked to Bali. I knew you would convince him." She raised her chin and said proudly.

"" Varian fell silent for a moment before nodding. "Then get that formation delivered to Bali."

He tapped his comm and sent Bali a message. "After you're done, take the delivery. Then, come to Uranus without delay. It's obvious, but don't use your original identity."

Sighing lightly, Varian turned to Boo. "Go to Mars."

"Huh? But they'll find out Enigma's position." Blue Flash frowned.

Enigma was no longer suppressing the tracker. But Boo was using its abilities to interfere, causing a slight delay.

So, by the time abyssals reached that location, they were already gone.

But Boo said that if they were too close to planets or planetoids, then the delay wouldn't be possible.

So, going to Mars was asking for trouble.

Varian shrugged. "Going from Earth to Neptune takes like 2-3 weeks. Too long. I got a better solution."

"And that is?" Blue Flash raised her brow.

Varian smiled. "You'll know."

After nearly forty minutes, Blue got her answer.

Enigma suppressed the tracker forcibly once again and Varian used a disguise to enter a spaceport.

Ghostship turned into a small ring, hiding Blue Flash and Enigma in it.

Varian showed a strange ID and stated he had an emergency. The soldiers respectfully sent him off to the teleportation formation and even sent a message to the receiving spaceport.

In a few seconds, Varian appeared on Jupiter's spaceport. He then quickly entered another formation and reached Saturn's spaceport. And then Uranus.

But by then, Enigma could no longer suppress the tracker.

So, Varian simply exited the spaceport and escaped the planet in the invisible ghostship.

Right when he left the atmosphere of Uranus, the trackers in the military districts suddenly rang.

Boom! Boom!

Thousands of space shuttles chased after ghost ship and after nearly an hour, they ditched the last chaser.

"Now what?" Blue Flash asked, clutching her chest.

To be honest, the plan was ridiculous and it actually succeeded.

Varian didn't answer her and turned to Enigma.

She was bleeding all over. In the last moments, she pushed herself trying to suppress the tracker. It resulted in extra injuries.

And now, she was holding her room's wall to stand.

Varian instinctively stepped towards her before the repulsion came again.

Enigma saw this silently and turned her head. "I-I'm fine."

Then, she slowly stepped towards the room. Truth be told, she felt like dying right now.

The pain was just too much. It was like a hundred hammers were smashing every inch of her body from within.

Her brain, her lungs, her heart, her legs, everything seemed to be twisted and crushed.

She didn't even have the option to faint. The pain made it impossible.

In fact, Boo's calculation of her pain was wrong by a large margin. If it was anyone else, even peak level 9s, they'd have already committed suicide.

Still, the repulsion thing created mixed feelings in her. If it wasn't present, perhaps Varian and Sia could be together again.

But with it, the chances were

"..Huh?" Enigma felt a small cloth gently wiping off the sweat on her eyebrows.

No one was holding the cloth. It was floatingthrough telekinetic power. But Blue Flash was only a space awakener, so

She turned around saw Varian smiling at her. It was a very warm smile.

He controlled his telekinetic power and formed a hand. Then, he gently patted her shoulder, and using his telepath powers, he said directly in her mind.

"This repulsion problem can be solved. Don't worry about me and Sia. Think about yourself.

I know...the pain you're experiencing is far worse than what Boo said. I'm really sorry I can't do anything to ease your pain. But I promise that every second of your suffering will be paid back in blood by those who caused it." His voice was uncharacteristically soft, yet firm.

Enigma stiffened for a moment before she used her mental powers and controlled her chaotic emotions.

It was a long time since she had such conversations. The only person she really talked to was Sia.

Herthat woman didn't speak much to either her or Sia. Perhaps that's why she cared so much about Sia.

And now, Varian's words were telling her that perhaps she made a friend that she never intended. In hindsight, it was inevitable due to her relationship with Sia.

"You're bleeding so much and still wearing that mask? Geez, take a shower and get some rest." He said and a force gently enveloped her and carried her to her room.

Enigma would've refused, but this time, she was truly too tired. Even standing was a hassle, so she let him.

"I-I'll just sleep." She didn't want to take off her mask or bath. Certainly not here.

"Fine." He agreed.

She was gently put on the bed which slowly helped her relax. Enigma's eyelids felt heavy and before she knew it, she fell asleep. This was truly a miracle for she never slept.

If Blue Flash saw this, she'd surely freak out. Thankfully, the older woman was busy arranging the CFT and space stones to Bali through her special contacts and didn't notice his actions.

Varian closed the room and sighed inwardly.

'Did I overdo it?'

Perhaps he did. But he also had the intention to improve his relationship with Enigma due to Sia. And he was also grateful for her help all along.

Now, she was perhaps at her lowest.

Her personal strength was useless and the organization she built up with blood, sweat, and tears was destroyed.

Even though he was sure to avenge her, he knew that the emotional scars wouldn't heal. The trauma would remain. Just like how he would still get the dreams of his mother's death from time to time.

That's why he was very grateful to Kyle and Maya for supporting him during those dark times.

If Enigma needed a friend like that, he was happy to be one. And whether he accepted it or not, he was partially responsible for her plight.

If not for him involving her in cluster cities' conspiracy, she'd not be so targeted by abyssals.

Taking a deep breath, Varian tapped his comm and called Irene Nial.

"Dreamer?"

"We need a ride from Uranus to Neptune. Do you have a private teleportation formation?"
