16 Exploring The Shop

Haeckel dug this out from the heart of the enormous black bull. Using one of his katanas, he carved a way into the black bull's spiky steely skin. Normal blades would not be effective against the skin of the bull even if it died.

(If I could turn this into something good...) Haeckel thought about the many ways he could utilize the skin in the shortest time possible. (I have to hurry to the Imperial Grounds. Why the h.e.l.l was I thinking that my wife would be in other parts of j.a.pan? My Intelligence Stat is 50 but what the heck was I thinking?)

Haeckel continued to dig under Merda's supervision until he finally reached the heart of the black bull. In doing so, his whole body and clothing was smothered with blood. The b.l.o.o.d.y man was now walking back towards the hut while holding the energy crystal and mumbling to himself about how dumb he was.

(I'm supposed to be a genius scientist yet why am I so impractical. Let me check my Status Window and check if my intelligence dropped.)

(Where should I invest the points? Strength would be a good choice but I also need agility. Besides, I could probably increase strength by working out. Anyway, I'll think about it later.)

(I should also explore the Shop while I still have time.)

Haeckel opened the Shop and entered the first Menu which was Clothing. Just like a game, the Clothing Menu were divided into Helm, Torso, Armguards, Gloves, Legs, Feet and Accessories. The cheapest item, a regular s.h.i.+rt, could be bought for just one Universal Coin while the most expensive one, called the Nine Lives Set, costed 9,999,999,999 Universal Coins.

Out of curiosity, Haeckel checked the description of some of the items that had caught his attention. such as the Nine Lives Set. However, most of the items that had piqued his interest had descriptions that were not available.

Name: Nine Lives Set

Price: 9,999,999,999 Universal Coins

Description: DESCRIPTION NOT AVAILABLE

Another thing that caught his attention were the items in the Accessories. There were accessories that could raise Strength, Perception, Agility, Intelligence and Spirituality. There were also accessories that contained special abilities would be really useful. One such thing was a dimensional bracelet and the cheapest one was worth 1,000 Universal coins.

Name: Fordapoor Dimensional Bracelet

Price: 500 Universal Coins

After satisfying his curiosity, Haeckel opened the Items Menu. The scrolls menu contained one time use items that could heal or temporarily boost one of the stats. The cheapest one was the scroll of minor healing that they had used on Akiyama while the most expensive one was well, he would rather not dream about it.

(Ohh lala, this is interesting. I wonder how much my inventions are worth.) Haeckel opened the Trade Tab and learned that he could sell items here in exchange for Universal Coins. (I could finally resell that RPG for some coins.)

Up next was the Skills Menu. The Skills Menu was divided into Arts, Pa.s.sive Skills and Active Skills. Upon skimming over the available Skills, there were only four words that came out of his mouth. (I need this.)

The arts skill contained various martial arts. At first, he was able to recognize some of them but as he scrolled deeper, the names of the martial arts were unknown to him. Most of those unknown to him were the ones that were so ancient or the arts that were not from this world.

There was an endless number of skills in each tab. All of them costed a lot of Universal Coins but all of them were essential for his survival. The Pa.s.sive Skills could be divided into Const.i.tution and Mastery. Haeckel picked the Const.i.tution and Mastery Skills he was most interested in and viewed its description.

Name: Earth 9061 Body Cultivation

Price: 10,000 Universal Coins

Description: The best way to reach the limits of the human body. This cultivation contains the epitome of Mortal Cultivation in Earth 9061.

Requirements: None

Name: Earth 9061 Niten Ichi-ryū

This sword style contains the epitome of the way of the sword of Earth 9061. This manual contains the complete technique.

(Now that I think about it, we're named Earth 9061. How may other Earths like this are there?) Haeckel continued to go over the list of pa.s.sive skills especially the cheaper ones.

In the Active Skills tab, the Skills there required one to have an affinity. What an affinity was? He did not know but he knew that he had no affinity at this moment so, he did not bother with any of the Active Skills at this moment.

Haeckel also checked the Weapons tab but he did not put too much time into it. The next and last tab he opened was the Vehicles tab. This one, he needed the most. The list ranged from motorcycles to planes, most of which were alien technology. For a motorcycle, Haeckel would only need 100 Universal Coins.

The motorcycle, along with the Fordapoor Dimensional Bracelet and cheap skills were his priorities in the consequential order. All in all, he would need 600 Universal coins for the bracelet and motorcycle and another 300 coins to learn the art of Muay Thai.

Haeckel had finally finished his exploration of the Shop and at the same time, had reached the hut. Merda already went back inside the birthmark as soon as Haeckel dug the energy crystal out.

(If only I did not go this far.) Haeckel sighed and planned for the trip. It would be a long one this time.
