The troops led by Knight Captain Adele Rosewood was fighting the monster with their life on the line as the forest was only near the city. They want to oppress the monster while the gate only recently opened and haven't acc.u.mulated enough mana.

"This is the last set of arrows i got, tssk."

Irritated as Adele didn't bring enough arrows for this expedition she grumbled.

"Looks like I'm forced to get to close combat. Guys i need you to start falling back little by little at the time i shot my last arrow."

Even though Adele is a bow user she is also good with close combat using her daggers that is strapped in behind her back along with her [Beast Blessing] Ability.

Drawing her bow she hit every monster core accurately making every arrow counts. But even hitting every target instead of tr.i.m.m.i.n.g down the monsters those abomination just keeps on multiplying.

"Guys get ready to withdraw little by little!"

She commander her troops as she draws her last arrow.

*FWOOOOOSSSHHHH!*

Suddenly a large hand caught the speeding arrow.

"F*CK! AN EVOLVED MONSTER!?" One of her troops shouted.

A monster that looks like a werewolf covered with red fur and as tall as an elephant with muscular arms emitting a dangerous aura was standing a far from them .

["F*ck a Evolved monster showed up. We are really unlucky that the gate already released an Evolved one."]

Adele thought to herself.

"We cant outrun the Evolved. We need to stay together and hope that come back up comes here fast!" Gritting her teeth she commanded her troops.

"FORMATION - O!"

Hearing the command for the formation the troops formed a circle. The composition of the formed was the mage and archers was inside the center of the circle, the pole and spear man next while the tanks and vanguard while upfront.

"GET READY!"

Adele shouted.

*GRAAAARRRRRRRRWWWWWRRRRRRGGG*

The large Evolved Monster growled like a mixed sound of a lion, ostrich and dolphin making noise painfully loud all together and emits its frightening killing aura.

"AHHHHHH!"

Some of the tanks and troops inside was affected by the growl and aura of the Evolved Monster causing them to drop their weapons and running away.

"STOP PANICKING YOUR JUST MAKING YOUR SELVES LIVE TAR~"

Shouting at her troops that are panicking and running away she knew that her warning was already to late as the evolved monster already stab one of the knights who ran with its claws.

["F*ck its a agility type Monster and Evolved one at it!"]

Mumbling to her self.

"We need to tighten the formation if we want to survive all together!"

The troops tightened the formation filling the spots that where left by the running members.

The troops in the formation helplessly watch as the other who ran out of the formation got killed and devoured by the Evolved Monster.

"PLS HELP MEEEE!!"

The knight shoutingly said while his bones break in every bite the Evolved monster took.

*CRUNCH*

*CRUNCH*

Every bone cracking was clearly heard by the Knights. And every bite the Evolved monster took they tighten their grip on their Staff, Weapons and s.h.i.+eld.

["It seems like we dont have enough time until the back up arrives. I need to fight the monster and sacrifice my self so my troops can fall back and warn them what happen so that the back up wont die like us."]

"All of you need to fall back now! I'll distract the evolved while you quickly retreat."

Adele clenching her fist she holds her daggers tightly.

"But captain we need to fall back all together!"

Some of troops complained.

"THIS IS AN ORDER! It's either someone has to be sacrificed or else we all die together, and I'm not willing to sacrifice any of you!"

Adele knows that the troops who are left are the most loyal to them so she used her authority to force them to retreat.

Clenching their teeth and nothing to do about it they began to ready them selves to fall back as soon as their captain start clas.h.i.+ng to distract the Evolved Monster they will start to retreat.

Readying while they watch as the Evolved kill its last prey felt sour. Even though those troops ran away out of fear, they were still comrades who fought, ate and laugh together.

If not for the overwhelming killing aura of the Evolved Monster maybe they were still alive now and fighting with each other.

As soon as it kills it last prey the Evolved Monster looked at them, looking at them like a tiger eyeing for his next prey.

Even overwhelmed with pressure she began to order her troops to retreat as she gets ready to clash and distract the monster. As she was about to issue the order she felt an abrupt presence from behind.

She look behind her and saw a man wearing a face mask covered in black was standing at a branch of the tree.

["Were saved! At last back up is here."]

She felt relieved while she thought to herself.

Looking for other people behind the man she felt and saw no other presence.

["He must be the fastest man of the back up. But at least the other back up is almost here."]

"Sir Masked Knight how much time will the~"

As she was about to ask the man covered in black how much time when the back up will arrive, the man leaped in the air towards the Evolved Monster.

Surprised at the Knight's action they began to panic.

["They sent the fastest stupid Knight. He doesn't even know that that is a Evolved Monster who just killed several Knight with level 5 Abilities."]

Some Knights though to themselves.

"We need to help that stupid knight! Get ready to engage and don't be scared as back up is almost here."

She order them to prepare as she though that back up is almost here, its just the the Knight was maybe sent first as he is the fastest.
