"I'll take you home. It was a long flight and you should get some rest" Tan Ji Nan told her and hold her hand as he stood up.

"Get some rest too" she said.

"Uhm" Tan Ji Nan nodded.

"Everything will be okay!" She said trying to lift his spirit up. She knew how hard it was for Tan Ji Nan. It wasn't easy to saw his only sibling lying on the bed who attempted to end her life because of her unrequited love to his bestfriend. Both of them are special in his heart.

Tan Ji Nan pulled her into his embrace and kiss her on the forehead.

"Thank you for being here in one of the most trying times of my life."

"Uhm"

She stayed on his arms for a moment before he finally let her go.

Tan Ji Nan called his a.s.sistant to pick them up in the hospital.

Ho Min Lin texted Song Dei Si as soon as she got home to inform her that she's back in Beijing. A minute has not gone yet after she sent the message and she already received a call from Song Dei Si.

"Min Lin! What's with the early return? You've said that everything was going right for you and Ji Nan? But why was your trip had been cut short? Aren't you supposed to enjoy Paris together much longer as expected? Are you guys okay?" The usual concern tone from Song Dei Si will be heard from the other line.

"We're okay. Tan Ji Nan has a family emergency so we need to come back home sooner."

"Emergency? Yan Mor Tee did not mention anything about it?" Her husband was Tan Ji Nan's walking diary so it is unlikely if he didn't inform Yan Mor Tee about this emergency. Or maybe he already informed him but his husband has forgot to share the news with her.

Ho Min Lin did not respond. How can she share it with Song Dei Si if she knew that Yan Mor Tee was involved. She doesn't want to give them any worries or make them feel guilty for what had happened to Ja Nin.

"Min Lin?"

"I'm still here" she had faked a yawn when she answered her. She remembered that Tan Ji Nan wanted to keep Tan Ja Nin's suicide attempt to be a family matters for now. "Jetlag is taking a toll on me. I wanted to sleep now."

Song Dei Si sighed. "Okay, maybe I should ask Mor Tee about it instead."

"He didn't know." She blurted out. Her bestfriend has always this att.i.tude to always wanted to know everything and she was annoyed.

"What is it then?" Song Dei Si asked again.

"It's a family emergency. It's a family matter so how should I know? I'm not his family yet? Nor your husband is his family. So can we give this privacy to the Tan's?

"O-okay!" Song Dei said but she was not convinced that Ho Min Lin didn't know about it. Why does she have a feeling that her bestriend was trying to hide something from her? "Let's have dinner tomorrow. I miss you"

Ho Min Lin rolled her eyes. As if she didn't know Song Dei Si's ulterior motives. Her bestfriend is up to dig details from her about Ji Nan's family emergency. That's the downside of being each other's bestfriend since gradeschool. They knew each other too well that she cannot put an act with her.

But come what may, Song Dei Si won't get any juices from her.

Ho Min Lin was stunned for a second with that thought.

Does keeping a secret to her bestfriend means she was betraying her? Does her loyalty goes to Tan Ji Nan now?

No, it wasn't the case.

She just won't share it with Song Dei Si because it was the best thing to do and there's no need to feel guilty for keeping the truth behind their return from her bestfriend. She keep repeating it to herself until she fell off to sleep
