103 An Uninvited Gues

"Alright, cla.s.s." The form tutor began to speak. "We have someone new coming in today, it's not that late as it's only really day 2 so he hasn't missed anything."

Geez, what a familiar sight. Another transfer student to force in another character, last time that happened, Kaylee joined and look at what happened to Ethan. He became depressed, whoever this is better be someone who will cheer Ethan up, or better yet go out with him.

"Why don't you introduce yourself, Simon."

"What the f.u.c.k," Ethan said looking at me in a panic.

"What the f.u.c.k…" Kaylee whispered

WHAT THE f.u.c.k! I don't really understand what is happening but I wanted to join in.

"Um… h.e.l.lo. My name is Simon… I'm only about a year older than you all but I hope we get along."

The whole cla.s.s clapped as Simon introduced himself, the three of us were in shock. We had no idea what was happening and we were all convinced it was a dream and started pinching and punching each other.

"Why don't you take a seat." the teacher said.

And of course, he runs straight over next to Kaylee. If Ruby was here she would be sitting there, but she has Thursday off, and Sean and Lily don't care about this huge development, they even sat on another table just to get away from us to study. We haven't even had our first lesson in each subject yet?!

"What are you doing here?" Kaylee asked.

"I never went to sixth form so I decided to go now."

I mean, there isn't anything wrong with it, it just that the history here is too complex. I NEVER EXPECTED A BATTLE OVER KAYLEE?!

This was too much for Ethan, I have never met Simon before so this was my first time. I even was convinced at one point that he didn't exist but here he is. He looks strangely like what I imagined, except his hair has I kinda green tint to it, and he seems rather tired around the eyes.

"Well, since you are here to study, we can forget about the past right?" Kaylee said as Simon looked at her as if he planned to do the opposite.

"O-of course…"

I've heard a lot about Simon from Ethan, I wasn't sure what to make of it at the time. I believe that Ethan was always exaggerating about the situation, I guess I'll be able to make a judgment myself.

"Hi, I'm Owen. Nice to meet you." I said sticking my hand out for a handshake. He looked at it and loosely grabbed it. They say a handshake tells you a lot about someone. From what Ethan described I always a.s.sumed Simon was a firm handshaker, but he was surprisingly weak. I should try and find out more from Kaylee later.

"What subjects are you studying?" Kaylee asked.

"Sociology, History and psychology."

"Tsk." Ethan kissed his teeth from across the table. I even forgot he was here.

"So you are also doing history?" Kaylee said.

"Also? Are you doing it? It doesn't seem like your thing. From what I remember you weren't a history person."

"What do you know," Kaylee responded.

Oh, s.h.i.+t. I'm in the middle of some deep deep drama. I have no idea why they broke up, I'm sure Simon knows about as much as I do. Either way, this is too interesting. I can't look away. I wish I had popcorn.

"Simon," Kaylee said. "In these two years, I want to move on. I moved on from you when we broke up and I hope we can stay as friends."

"That's all I ever wanted. To be friends."

It was clear that Simon was lying through his teeth. From an outsider like myself, it was obvious, even Ethan probably noticed it. He's like a dog when some stranger has entered his owner's territory. We could witness some intense bloodshed this year. I wonder who I should support?

"Well, Simon," I said. "I hope we get along. Oh, also, this guy here is Ethan. He's a bit shy."

I pushed Ethan into him, I don't remember if they know each other but I guess this will be a good time to find out.

"Oh, you are the guy that works with Kaylee," Simon said. "It's good to meet you."

The two of them looked awkwardly apart, perhaps Simon is more shy and awkward then Ethan has told me. This certainly is interesting.

"Y-yeah…" Ethan said. "I've seen you a few times in your car picking up Kaylee."

"Oh?" I said. "You drive Simon?"

"Yeah, I got my license last year."

Well, it has become clear to me. Simon isn't a social b.u.t.terfly. He's just like the rest of us. He is super awkward to be around and seems to just be focused on Kaylee, this will probably end badly for everyone, but I will make sure to catch the whole movie.
