When they arrived at the hotel, Scott quickly got out of the car and headed inside . Angelique slowly got down from the car watching as Scott walked away from her .

"Are you alright?" Annie asked standing beside her .

"Yeah . " She smiled

"Let's go inside and rest for now," she added

Both of them went to the receptionist and got their room key, Scott booked them a separate room, at the same time they were VIP rooms .

"He sure has lots of money to waste," Annie said as they were heading to their rooms .

"I guess . . . " Angelique replied still depress of what happened

"No worries, I'm sure things will work out between you two," she added

"I was neve-" Angelique tried to explain but, of course, she could never find any excuse when it comes to Annie, luckily the lift door opened making it perfect timing for her to escape . "I'll go rest then, see you later . . . "

Angelique quickly got out of the lift and run to her room . It did not surprise Annie that Angelique quickly got out of the lift, so she let it be and walked to her room as well but at a steady pace watching the girl dash off in the speed of light not realizing she has left her suitcase behind .

Angelique quickly got inside her room, she was all red and sweaty after escaping from Annie . As she was about to head to the bathroom, someone knocked at the door .

"Who is it?" she asked

"Next time, if you're trying to run away don't forget your suitcase . " a woman voice said sounding like Annie .

When Angelique realize what Annie was saying, she felt so embarra.s.sed as she opened the door . "Thanks . . . "

"Rest well . . . " Annie said as she handed the suitcase and said nothing further and walked to her room .

After Annie left, Angelique unpacks her staff and got changed to a much more comfortable attire . Since it was quite cold in Venice as well, she wore a wooly jumper paired with skinny jeans and boots . She then decided to head out and check the hotel amenities .

Whilst Angelique await for the lift door to open, she felt a familiar presence walking towards her . When she turned around to see who it was, she could not help it but hide her face in shame of what she did earlier .

Scott who also came out of his room to cool off from what happened earlier did not expect to b.u.mp into Angelique . He sighed seeing how the girl tried to avoid her gaze from him .

"Where are you heading?" Scott said as he stood beside Angelique

"I was planning to check the hotel amenities," she replied whilst averting her gaze at Scott

"Can you come with me?" he asked

"Where?" she asked accidentally turning around to face him .

"Much better . . . " Scott said as Angelique finally turned around to face him .

Angelique became fl.u.s.tered and embarra.s.sed, she turned around again to avoid Scott but the lift door opened as Scott grab hold of her hands . "Let's go . . . "

Inside the lift, Angelique could hear her heart beating, she did not know what to do . Scott was still holding onto her hands and they were the only one inside the lift as well .

"What's wrong?" Scott said nothing the girl flushed face

"Nothing . . . " she replied as sweat slowly drip down her forehead .

Scott then steps in front of Angelique, facing her directly as they eye gaze into each other . "Tell me is something wrong?"

"I-" But before Angelique could further speak the lift door opened as people step inside causing Scott to step aside and stood beside Angelique .

Angelique felt like she was about to collapse, the situation could not have gone worst .

As they reach the ground floor, Scott didn't let go of Angelique's hands as they walked out of the lift and out of the hotel . As the two continue to walk down the city streets, Angelique did not bother and went with the flow since she did something awful earlier . She dare not cause another misunderstanding between them .
