132 Last Long

Whilst she continues to ponder on what just happened her phone suddenly rung, "h.e.l.lo..."

"Are you alright?" the person on the other end worried

"Yeah..." she replied

"Ange, are you alright? Where are you?" The person asked

When Angelique realize she was being bombared with questions, she finally snap back to her sense, "Jordon, I'm sorry... I was just too full... I'm fine home already."

Jordon who was in a hospital room smiled hearing Angelique was finally home, "That good, you should rest now."

The girl on the end continues to greet him before he ended the call, "Good night."

Then a nurse walked inside the room, " Mr. Tansley you should be in bed right now, what are you doing standing around by the window."

Jordon smiled as he was scolding by the nurse, "Better reception."

"Young man these days can live without a sweet good night from their partners. You should rest already, it's pretty late. If you want to get out of her and see her soon, you better listen to me." she continues scolding Jordon.

Jordon just smiled hearing the nurse words.

"Is she that pretty that you can't sleep without her sweet words?" the nurse asked

"She the most beautiful star in the sky." he replied

"Such sweet words but I'm sure you haven't told her that." the nurse caught on to Jordon true feeling.

"How can you say that..." he asked

"Man like you normally tend to be on the side, your happy seeing her happy and won't dare show your true feeling. A man like you are rare now a day, if I were you I would tell her now. You know you might last long..." she replied

"We don't know that yet, but thank... I'm happy how thing are now." he smiled

"Well, you rest now. I'll check on you later again." she replied before the nurse steps out of the door she took a last look at Jordon and said, "You won't lose anything if you tell her the truth."

Jordon smile and did not reply as the nurse walked out of the room.

"I don't want to tell her since I don't want to lose her." he sighed

Jordon looked outside the window and notice the night sky, "It looks like might snow soon."

Jordon clenched his chest recalling the words of the nurse. Angelique was someone dear to her, he could not live a day without her which is why he's afraid to lose her. But the thought she might fall for some is even worse. But what can he do when her happiness is more important to him?

Jordon grabs his phone and called someone. "Yeah, can you handle everything for now? I won't be back for a while."

Corey who was asleep listen to Jordon's explanation, "Yeah, just get well soon."

"I'm just gonna visit my parent." Jordon reply.

"Yeah, whatever..." Corey sighed as he ended the call. As he put his phone away, she brushed his hair up as he sighs deeply again. "How many secrets are you planning to bury with you."

Corey who couldn't go back to sleep got up and went to his kitchen, as he was about to open the fridge he saw their childhood back in secondary school. They were so young and full of life, Angelique was the center of all those smiles but also the cost of all the pain.

He opened the fridge and grab himself a drink, as well the photo on the fridge and sat down on the sofa. "To think everything change just because of that night." Corey then took a sip of his drink as he put the photo away and headed back to his room.
