Michael had found some tissues which Nolan used to make his face less sticky. "I'm sorry for reacting like this. It's just I've been told every day since the accident that nothing I was doing was going to work by so many people. I just can't believe that I got here and that I'm here now. To think she can walk is amazing. Just to have that chance is everything I know for her."

Wu gave his shoulder a little squeeze. "Well that's why they call me a witch. They say what I do is spells and myth and worse. But it's just listening. The hat is just so people don't pester me. Only the people who really need my help come find me."

"Is that really why you have the hat?"

"No. But that's just a nice heartwarming story to make you feel better/ I just made it up because it felt good."

Nolan wiped off his face and stood, "Ok. I should go see Ellie. Dr. Wu in terms of care is there anything else that she will be requiring during the night? I can stay awake while Michael sleeps and we can take turns until the nurses arrive tomorrow morning."

"No. Mr. Nolan you are going to go out somewhere really nice to eat and then sleep in tomorrow."

Wu tugged at his s.h.i.+rt. "I am a doctor and you haven't eaten an apple today so you can't really keep me away. And if you haven't eaten an apple, you should because I don't want to see you as a patient. Don't worry about Ellie. How many? There are ten men here watching her. Michael is more than capable as you've seen and I know he will make sure that Ellie has the best care in the world. I'll stop by after rounds tomorrow to discuss with him about what the results and checkup on Ellie."

Nolan wanted to show Wu that he really was not that weak. But honestly, he could feel it in his knees. He was bone dead tired. What could he offer to Ellie if he wasn't fit himself? Ellie was also surrounded by people paid to take care of her. It was just causing more trouble than he was worth. So like the good brother he was who wanted the best for his sister, he reluctantly relented. "Fine. You all win."

Wu got back onto her feet and crackled her knuckles before checking the time. "I really could use a nice strong drink right about now? I wonder--"

Michael let out a big bellied laugh as he gestured towards the elevator. "Your wish is my command, my fine lady. I wouldn't give the best, even to the queen herself. I'll text one of the porters to bring it to you right away. Might I interest you in the reclining room? Master Henry had it made up for such an occasion. I'm happy to have it come so soon."
