"I thought I should give my main staff some time to go fix other things around the house or sneak in a quick meal." Ellie nodded as Henry continued on his train of thought. "I doubt that you'll be needing a full set of support staff anymore."

"Thats too bad that me not being sick anymore will mean that they will all have to lose their jobs. Its not exactly peak hiring season in the city now is it." Ellie took out a bottle of honey from behind a sandwich on the porcelain dish and added the syrup to her tea while Henry watch in a bit of confusion at the audacity of making an already sweet thing more so.

"Peak season or not, they do have work elsewhere. We always need more healthcare workers in the city. There is also work outside of the city limits which could provide ample opportunities for those who are no longer needed here. I also allow my workers to work for multiple companies so they aren't out of work."

"That's really nice of you to allow them to do that while they are in your employ. I know a lot of companies don't like treating their employees decently."

"Everybody needs money to survive and life well. They need to support other people, food, housing, hobbies and you know all the work that const.i.tutes children can add up very very quickly. I don't want to make it difficult for people to keep working for me. Anyone who is hiring and denies their workers this are definitely not fit to be running any kind of corporation. It's not a good idea as it could lead to a strike or union demands."

Ellie looked at him warmly. "That's the CEO in you. That's why Wong Industries is such a good company to work for."

"Being a CEO has no bearing on being a good manager. It's just a byproduct of having to look into everything. I hate when people cut corners as the blame will fall on my name." Ellie reasoned that he must in his heart really favor a family minded atmosphere as he would have not likely taken care of herself and Nolan otherwise. She knew there was somebody else in his heart. Ellie could see that it was paining him. He didn't seem too fazed by this burden when he finally opened up the file so she could see the paperwork within. "This is the will that has been giving us so much grief that you wanted to see."

"Are you sure that I can see this without signing some kind of a non-disclosure agreement?" Ellie tapped the papers against the brim of the table. She could skim the top of the sheets and see the legal terms jumping out at her like caution signs.

Henry considered this slowly. "There is one at the bottom of all of those papers which you can sign first. I do trust you enough, but also most of this work is already been read out to a room full of people so it has leaked out. I don't know what more you could sell to a newspaper that they don't already know."Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
