Luna' eyes glowed in the colors, "Lovell, the view is so beautiful." She turned to Lovell as he stared over the view.

Lovell was scanning to see if he could see Kana. "Yeah, but remember why we are all here for?" Turning to Luna. "We don't know when they might strike again? So, be on guard, because things can always seem nice but have hidden shadows as well."

Scarlet huffed at him in confidence. "Well the flowers here are able to stop anything from attacking. They are made up of mostly Vail Hearts!" Lovell turned to her, as she grinned. "So, even if they came after us, we are—"

"Sorry to say scarlet but the Vail Hearts only stop beastman, animilian and other beastlike races, not Humans or Elves." Zephyr busted Scarlets bobble with her knowledge, as she shrunk away.

Lovell patted her head. "Thank you, Zephyr for reminding me that five out eight of us are going to be affected." Zephyr seeing that he was both proud of tell Scarlet was wrong and that Fang, Gale, Zero, Lovell and herself would all be affected in some way.

Zephyr turned red, as she covered her mouth. "I-I'm sorry, I-I-I just want to clarify what—"

Lovell smiled, "Don't worry, all that's going to happen is that we can't keep our current forms." Lovell felt very worried that no one has ever seen what his real mortal self looks like. "as long as we don't stay more than day or two." Everyone noticed Lovell was nervous, Lovell looked at them. "What?"

"Is there something your hiding Lovell?" Fang braking the awkward silent.

Lovell flinched at Fangs question. "Yeah, what are you hiding Lovell?" Lance poked at the question.

"Um, well, um…" Lovell nervous as they stared at him, as he backed up. His foot slipped of the edge as Lovell fell to the fields below.

A young woman say him falling into the field. "Hey, you, get out of my fields!" The woman charged towards him. Lovell rubbing his backend as he got up before being tackled by the woman. Lovell falling flat on his face as she growled at him. "What do you think you are doing trampling over my flowers?!"

Luna slid down to them, as the woman was ready to burst. "Sorry ma'am, but our friend here had lost his footing thanks to us." Luna bowed at the woman. "I am truly sorry for any headaches we may have caused you?"

The others came down as the woman pointed at Lovell. "Well he should have not chosen my field to land in!" Scarlet walked up to her and slapped her, Luna gasped, the woman turned her attention to Scarlet. "What was that for wench?! Your friend ruined my hard work!"

Scarlet slapped her again, before using her magic to regrow the flowers. "That should cover the damage unless you want me to fire you miss."

"Scarlet, don't do that it was an accident, and she has every right to be achoo!" Lovell trying to turn the tension down, froze at the sneeze.

The young woman ignored him, "Covering for him isn't enough pig!"

Scarlet snapped as she smiled, "Miss do you not know who I am?"

The woman shrugged, "Not really, you are just some n.o.body." She thought nothing about it feeling like she was the superior one.

Scarlet leaned in as Lovell stepped back knowing where this was going fast. "My name is Scarlet de Rosier of the Rosier House, your employer."

The woman went pale as she turned to Scarlets sneering smile. She bowed at Scarlet, in utter fear for her lively hood. "Please for give me ma'am! I am in the wrong here!"

Zephyr touched Scarlet. "She means no harm, and besides we are all at fault for cornering Lovell."

Scarlet sighed, letting go of her anger. "Well, yes, your right, but she should look before she leaps next time." Turning the woman. "I have one question for you miss."

The woman looked up. "Y-yes, what is it, ma'am?"

Scarlet folded her arms, "We came to here looking for a woman, named Kana, do you know where she might be?"

The young woman looked up, confused. "There is no one that goes by that name here?"

Lovell walked up closer to them. "A woman, with dark green hair, pink eyes and dark skinned, have you seen anyone who meets that description?"

The woman thought on it, then it hit her. "Oh, you mean that elf lady that came here about six, seven eight years ago?" Lovell looked at eh others and nodded at her. "Yeah she lives not far, she's never giving her real name before but goes by wind rose."

Lovell smiled, "Kana the Wind Rose, how fitting she would use her t.i.tle the wind rose as to not let her enemies find her."

The young woman puzzled at Lovells comment as she led them to Kana's home. As the reached it Kana was just exiting her home. She looked over to see the young woman, "Oh, what bring you here—" she stopped as she noticed here company. "Who is all this then?"

Lovell realizing that she did recognized him as he walked up to her. "It's been a long time Kana."

Kana stepped back as he said her name, she looked closer at Lovell. "Wait a minute?" Kana moved closer to Lovell as he smiled. "Lovell! Is that really you!?"

Lovell laughed, "Yes, Kana its me, how's life been treating you?"

Kana gabbed his shoulders. "Fine, but look at you all cleaned up, well, your hair anyway?" Looking over him and then the others. "Well, why don't you all head inside and all get cleaned up I'll be while getting some supplies before we catch-up?"

Lovell looked at the others seeing that they looked horrible, "Ok, see you whe-achoo!" Lovell went pale.

Kana could see he was not liking what was going to happen. "Um, Lovell do they know about the fact you part beastman?"

They all stared at Lovell, as he froze. Kana realizing, he has never told anyone other than her, and the rest of the Goanna Mercenaries. "Well, good luck trying to stay like this in this town Lovell." She patted him as she left.

Lovell turned to the others, "L-let's all head in-inside, shall we?" Lovell knowing, they now wanted to see the real face of Lovell.

As they entered, they noticed bundles of flowers, hanging out to dry. Scarlet naming off each one she noticed that they were used in medical treatments, turning to Lovell, "Hey, Lovell was Kana a healer back at group you were with?"

Lovell looked over, "Yeah, she was the top healer for gang, until…well." Lovell trailed off as the words reached his mouth.

Scarlet decided to not push it any further than it already was. Luna found the bathroom and called Scarlet and Zephyr over to join her. Lovell saying that she should go first as she pointed the boys. They looked over to see that they were checking out Kana's old throwing knives and Lovell telling them which ones she used to train him in. They left to the baths, leaving the boys a lone.

"So, you know how to use them then Lovell?" Lance asked him as he picked up one of the knives.

Lovell taking it from him, "Yeah, was crazy scary back then." Lovell felt another sneeze coming up, "Oh great—achoo!" Lovell's appearance change, he gained a tail, ands claws with fur covering his elbows rubbing his nose. "Great…"

Lance dropped his mouth seeing what Lovell really looked like, tugging at Gales sleeve. Gale turned to see why Lance was wanting only to see Lovell changed.

Gale walked up to him, "I never expected it to be so, well, it's way less then Kratos."

Lovell sneered at him. "What, its different for every half breed? I could've ended up looking like a beast and with a human shaped head." Lovell looked at Fang, he didn't want anything to do with commenting on how Lovell looked since he had changed as well. "Never expected you to have black hair instead of silver, there Fang?"

Lance and Gale turned to Fang. "Now that's more of a change than Lovell's!" Gale stated as the girls walked out to let them know it was there turn.

They stared at Fang, "I never expected you to have black hair Fang?" Luna said as she turned to Lovell. "I expected you the have a little more beastman than this—" Lovell took his s.h.i.+rt off, showing off the fur down his back. "Never mind, well any way the bath is ready for guys. Better take one while the water is still hot."

Lovell smiled sheepishly at them. "We'll be off then…" Lance and Gale walked off as Zero followed behind. Lovell turned to Fang, seeing that he was embarra.s.sed that they say saw him in this way. "Coming Fang?" Fang turned to him, nodding as he walked beside Lovell as they went for a bath.

After they all were cleaned up Lovell, looked at Zephyr, she seemed to have her nose in a book. Lovell looked at the cover, ran over, s.n.a.t.c.hing it from here hands as Kana walked in, carrying some groceries. She slowly placed the provisions down, Lovell frozen in fear as she walked over, pulling out throwing knives. Zephyr realizing what she caused couldn't stop Kana from throwing the knives at Lovell.

"Umm, miss Kana?" Zephyr tries to get her attention as Kana moved in. "Ma'am Lovell, did nothing wrong I did."

Kana froze as she looked at her, her ferocious face became calm. "Oh, sorry I thought he became a naughty little man for reading my diary?"

Lovell sighed, "you did have a tendency to over react, Kana, ma'am." Kana laughed as the others stared at her. "Anyway—"

Kana put her hand in front of Lovells face, cutting him off. "I want you to cook Lovell, we will talk over dinner, kay?"

Lovell shaking as he looked into her face. "Y-yes m-ma'am!"

Lovell walked over to the groceries and took them to her kitchen. Kana looked the others. "Now let us talk about you all and how Lovell has been doing. I don't want to here about what brought you here till I know I can trust you six and know you are not a threat." Kana smiled as they looked over at Lovell, seeing why he acted the way he did.

Gale coughed, as he found his composure. "Well, Lance and I met Lovell first at Stonebeak, about four months ago." Gale gestured over to Lance. Kana sat down as she listened. "ah sorry I should have started with introducing myself," Gale stuttered as he placed his hand on his chest, "My name is Gale McKnight, son of King McKnight of the Grand Dale Kingdom."

Kana leaned forward, "I thought they were humans not daemons?"

Lance turned his gaze. "Well things happened where Gale became a daemon."

Kana turned to him, her eyes sadden. "Oh, that must have been hard to do then umm…"

"Lance."

"Lance, well, it seems you have travelled a lot together with—"

Lance turned to her. "Lovell left us about twenty-five days ago, because of some internal issues he needed to work out." He looked over to Lovell as he prepared the food. "But Lovell got captured shortly after by a person named Hunter. He managed to get out obviously but not without help from the inside." Lance narrowed his eyes. "After that he met Scarlet here, and the twin animilian half-breeds."

Kana leaned back gripping her chin. "I see, so I'm guessing you all met back up somewhere by chance?"

Lance nodded as Scarlet s.h.i.+fted her weight. "Well, how I met Lovell was that he practically landed in front of me after teleporting from Mourn Fortress."

Kana turned to Scarlet, her eyes bulging. "What?!"

Scarlet nodded, "Yes, surprisingly, he managed to us a teleport spell without knowing his own destination." Scarlet noted as she placed her hand on her chest. "By the way I'm Scarlet de Rosier, of the Rosier House here in the Gold Heart Empire."

The twins looked at Kana, "We, are Zero and Zephyr." They spoke in unison as they placed their hand on their chests.

Zephyr smiled softly, "Lovell saved us for the Rat King, if we never stole from him."

Kana looked at her, as she bust out laughing, Lovell wince in the other room. "Sounds like him, he was taught how to track, steal, and a.s.sa.s.sinate, even though he can be timid."

Luna placed a finger in her chin, "What do mean miss Kana?"

Kana stopped laughing as she smiled. "Call me Kana, well Lovell has a sweet spot with children even though he has killed over a hundred people." She turn to him, see that he was looking out of the corner of his eye. "Lovell's reputation in the underworld is almost legendary. Though it was tame before Morris died." Kana's eyes darkened. "Morris meant a lot to Lovell."

Luna clasped her chest. "How so?"

Kana turned to Luna. "He became a monster, after he watched him die." Kana closed her eyes before turning to Lovell again. "Morris was like a father to him."

Everyone looked at Lovell, seeing that he wanted to cry. Fang turned to Kana. "I'm guessing you trust us even though not all of have introduced ourselves?"

Kana turned to Fang. "Yes, I know who you are and miss Luna are. I do have eyes and ears cross the lands. Besides there are somethings I don't know." Kana got up as Lovell walked out of the kitchen, Kana smiled at Lovell. "So, foods ready then?!"

Lovell nodded as the others helped set the table. Luna noticed over Lovell's left eye. She reached over touching it, Lovell started by what she did grabbed her hand. "Please don't touch that."

Kana looked over at them, she covered her mouth evilly, "Well do I see love in the air?"

Lovell and Luna turned red as the turned away from each other. Scarlet joined Kana in the fun. "It seems that they might be?"

Fang clapped his hands startling them. "Enough you two, they already know they can't be together." Kana pouted at him. "Beside its taboo for any G.o.d that reincarnates to marry and have children."

"And who made that rule Fang?" Kana growled.

Fang sat down as he reached for some grub. "The other G.o.ds did I think, it was after some incident."

Kana looked at Lovell and Luna, seeing how it was tearing them inside knowing this reality. "Oh, well changing the subject. What brought you all here to me?"

Lovell looked at her. "We need to find the others. I left something there and it might be helpful with what we need to do next. Plus, Lua might have some info we might need to find out what the dark lord is planning and how to stop him."

Kana leaned back in her seat. "I don't know their location at this time but that doesn't mean that I can't find them." Giving him a thumbs up.

Lovell smiled. "Thanks Kana, you're a life saver."

Kana huffed in pride, "Well it will take two to three days to gather any info of their location so relax and recuperate. Form the look of things lots happened when first saw all of you." Everyone smiled in glee as she said those words, Kana turned to Lovell. "In honesty, I thought you would look like your true form over your real mortal self, there Lovell?" She turned to Fang, "As well as you there, Fang?"

Fang turned to her. "Well the flowers don't effect threyans that way, only our mortal forms."

"ahh," Kana turned to Luna, "Now Luna, you and the girls will be sleeping in the guest rooms while the boys will sleep out here for the night." Zero and lance went to protest. "Sit down its temporary for the night." Kana stopping them, before they sat back down. "I will have to take to a friend to see if you boys can stay at his spare house in town."

Lance sighed, "What a relief. So, tomorrow hopefully we will be sleeping in beds and no your floor like a bunch of animals."

Lovell looked at him, "Umm, that sounds fine to me, but I might be the pillow over Fang though?"

Kana watched as they chatted away over dinner. She smiled seeing Lovell loosen up since she last saw him. "Your finally truly happy Lovell." Kana whispered to herself. Lovell looked over to her seeing her smile at them.

The next day, Kana got a hold of her friend and let the boys know that they could stay at his spare home. Lovell thanked her as she left. Luna walked up to him with Scarlet in tow.

Lovell turned to them. "What's up?"

Scarlet smiled, "We thought of going into the market and gather some essentials before we leave in possibly three days."

Lovell sighed at her. "And you need me to come?"

Scarlet nodded. "You have a better sense of things than Lance, Gale and Zero combined and Fang already said no before we asked."

Lovell peered behind them seeing Fang sharpening their weapons, and Lance teaching Zero how to clean the weapons while Gale and Zephyr discussed a book that they were fawning over. Lovell sighed, "Fine, I'll go."

Scarlet grinned. "I knew you would."

As they entered town Lovell noticed a stand with handbags and satchels lined up. As he glanced over, he noticed one bags design. Lovell stopped and picked the bag up. Feeling the leathers embordered design, he knew it from somewhere. He looked at the vender. "Excuse me but where is this bag made?"

The man looked up at Lovell, "Why do you ask boy?"

Lovell stared at him. "Well it seems familiar to me, and I was wondering if my hunch was right? That's all?"

The man looked at the bag. "Its from Blacklight village." Lovells eye lite up as the man looked at him. "You know of the place?"

Lovells eyes saddened, "Yes, it was my home before it was destroyed twenty years ago."

THE man looked at Lovell as he placed the bag back down as Lovell noticed the price. The man gritted his teeth as Lovell walked away. "Hey boy!" Lovell turned around to see the man holding the bag. "Take it, as a reminder of your origins."

Lovell stared. "I can't, I don't have enough—"

"Boy it's a gift. I could never sell the dam thing for twenty years because it was the last one ever made." Lovell walked up to the man as he took the bag from him. "I found out it was addressed to you, Lovell."

Lovell stared at the man, noticing that the man was someone he knew. Tears streamed down his face, "Old Man Phil."

Phil smiled at him. "Long time no see little Lovell." Lovell was ecstatic to see him as Scarlet called out for him. Phil turned to them. "go to your friends Lovell they need you, besides we might see each other again someday soon." Lovell looked at him knowing he was right. As he ran off to his friends. Phil waved as he turned to the sky. "Marie its done, he has the bag now, just like you asked that day."

"So, what's with the new bag?" Scarlet asked him

Lovell slanged the strap over his head. "A memento form Blacklight." He smiled as he opened the bag. He noticed a letter, pulling it out he noticed it was addressed to him.

Luna turned around to him. "What is that?"

Lovell flipped it over. "A letter addressed to me?" Lovell opened it.

Lovell clenched the letter close to him finding out how everyone he loved was connected to his father and knew who and what he was. Luna tried to touch him in comfort, hesitating, she pulled herself back, knowing that she wasn't needed for this. Scarlet leaned in, hugging him as he let go of the pain inside.

Two days pa.s.sed, Kana opened the door, her face pale as they all stared at her. She looked at Lovell. "I got good news and bad news."

Lovell looked at her, "the good news first, Kana we need something that's not bad first."

Kana looked at him. "OK, but I'm warning you the bad news isn't good. Any way I found Ark is nearby."

Lovell sat up, "Really, where is he?!"

Sweat ran down her brow, "That's the bad news. He's in the Goldhill prison for stealing a royal treasure."
