Xu Jiamu had been planning to speak with Lin Qianqian for the past two days . Now that she called, he agreed without hesitation .  

They arranged to meet the next day at noon, and while she rambled on as usual, Xu Jiamu took a puff of a cigarette impatiently . Glancing into the room, he could see Song Xiangsi staring at him, and his heart skipped a beat . Hurriedly, he ended the call .  "I'm busy right now, we can talk tomorrow . "

"Remember to get some fruits before you come home," she lied perfectly .

Sitting up, she stared out the window at the brightening skies before heading to the bathroom .

When she was done preparing, she didn't get breakfast . Instead, she went to the laptop in the study room to browse for flights .

Closing the laptop after, she walked to the safe at the corner . She retrieved her pa.s.sport, stuffed it in her bag, and left the apartment .  

Song Xiangsi first drove to Xu Enterprise . After about half an hour, she saw Xu Jiamu's car drive out of the underground car park . Once his car was a distance away, she started her car and followed behind, ending up at Jade Wave Garden .

The moment he left the car, the girl grabbed onto his elbow, hugging it while bringing him into Jade Wave Garden animatedly .

Song Xiangsi stared at his figure until it disappeared . Forcing her gaze away, she sat in silence for a long while before reaching for her phone to make a call .  "It's me, Xiangsi . . . . Mmh, yes, the surgery .   . . . Is today afternoon okay? Great .   . . . I'll go over now . "

Tears started to stream down her face, and she reached up to brush her face haphazardly . Reaching for the steering wheel after, she started the car .
