Cold sweat trickled down Jun's back. He never saw the rabbit move or what attacked Itachi. Next moment he activated everything he could to rise his sensing ability to maximum, against a being with that level of speed that was all he could do to counter. He found the rabbit hopping in place somewhere to his left. He immediately activated Observe Skill along with his Runic Eye.

'The Boss is here finally..' Jun thought 'Oh G.o.d… what have Konohagakure's founders wrought upon me this day?'

It was at this moment that Jun decided that the day he meets either Tobirama or Madara , the order of meeting didn't matter, but he definitely was going to kick their a.s.s at least once no matter how long it takes. Granted it might be an Impure World Reincarnation Zombie, But its the thought that counts right ?

'Wait …I am getting distracted.. where is that thrice-cursed rabbit?' Jun looked around but couldn't find it , when he felt a Killing Intent to his side 'OH s.h.i.+T'

Jun barely threw himself into a side leap in time to avoid a crazy speeding rabbit aiming to maul his face , the rabbit blew past his face with wind blasting his hair wildly. The demon rabbit tore through a tree behind Jun as if it wasn't even there.

Jun sent a bunch of Leaf Shuriken spiraling towards the rabbit but it instantly disappeared. Jun focused his Runic Eyes to maximum to catch the minimal of movements around him constantly kept spamming Observe Skill despite the ton of unrelated information flowing into his mind and giving him a headache.

'Yes!!' Jun thought excitedly as he caught a glimpse of the rabbit speeding around , circling Jun. Jun's leveled up Observe Skill caught the rabbit's information. Jun kept running at max speed, while keeping the rabbit in his vision.

'If I survive this, then I am going to pay double the attention to Taijutsu and Development of my Sage body to new level. I wonder if I can activate Sage mode somehow along with Sage body or activate all my cells to sage chakra… Well I will have to figure that out later. First I need to get Itachi away fro this monster.'

Jun dodged the rabbit's attack and tried to keep it distracted with a barrage of leaf blades swirling in the area. Using that as a cover, Jun quickly reached Itachi and left using Flying Thunder G.o.d while grabbing him. After reaching few tens of meters away from the rabbit, Jun made a temporary room and bed with a combination of Plant and Earth release Jutsu and created a few barrier type seals using Sealing arts and Earth Release barriers. Satisfied with his preparations to alert him of the rabbit, Jun went back to Itachi to look at his injuries. Although his life may not be in danger, but if not treated then the sequelae left behind with improper self healing might stunt his Ninja career. Jun took time to first renew the supply of Nature energy in body to the max possible in a short while. He then sent a focused chakra sensing pulse into Itachi's body. It took an hour for Jun to rejoin the broken muscles, tendons and ligament of his back carefully so as to not injure any of his internal organs. While he was almost done, Jun found a tiny black ma.s.s, smaller than the head of an earthworm stuck to the membrane of Itachi's lungs .

'The heck is that?' Jun thought as he sent the thinnest possible chakra strings he could make with medical chakra and sent them slowly towards the black ma.s.s. On contact, he slowly probed it with all the medical techniques he knew so far but kit gave minimal response. However when trying healing on the area around it, it somehow absorbed the healing chakra before it affected the area of lungs around it.

'Hmm.. some kind of vitality leeching chakra mutation in Itachi's body. I a.s.sume some genetic defect, however even if this is so small right now, I guess this is the reason Itachi died in original timeline. Now how to get this out…' Jun tried to think of a way to save his friend from his fate.

After trying all sorts of methods , Jun finally devised a way. 'Delicate illness extraction can help , but n=may damage vitality and his organs while extracting this. I need to just ensure he gets a constant supply of vitality in his body during that.'

Armed with this information Jun had now a clear solution. He modified one of the medical jutsus he learnt from scroll of seals, slightly with use of nature chakra.

Using this new Jutsu Jun managed to Give Itachi a temporary regeneration ability, while he carefully extracted the black ma.s.s with Delicate Illness Extraction Technique. Slowly and carefully Jun managed to free Itachi's body from it and infused Itachi with enough nature chakra as he could safely handle to recover quickly.

He quickly created tens of earthen domes overlapping each other around the room where Itachi was resting. He reinforced their density as much as possible using Nature Energy in a short while before rus.h.i.+ng off to find the rabbit which was cause of everything.
