A black silhouette danced between packs of chakra mutated beasts. The beasts , enhanced with various elemental chakra, charged towards the silhouette again and again, destroying all in front of them. There were all types of beasts attacking the silhouette at various intervals.

"Hishhhsa" Snakes hissed as they lunged towards the black silhouette. One of them was punched by him just below the jaw. The snake flailed striking all around with its tail hissing. The other two snakes sprayed venom towards the silhouette seeing how he had defeated one of them in close combat. The venom turned into a poison vapour flowing through the air towards the silhouette.

"Boy that's dangerous" The silhouette said removing its hood while standing in the poison cloud, revealing Jun with his golden runic eyes "However , Not for me."

The poison vapour splashed on his skin, and slowly got absorbed in his skin. Jun created hand seals in an instant and "Wind Release: Wind Blast" gusts of wind blasted the snakes apart .

"Ahhh hrgh" Jun gave a roar as he stretched his upgraded body. Within these past few weeks he had truly upgraded all his skills to a very high level through constant battles with wild beasts. Vast amounts of fierce beasts could be founded in the outskirts of Great Nations. This fact was something he learned in academy, but first time he saw it in person. He battled all kinds of beasts like Boars , Foxes , wolves , snakes , a few tigers and even one bear.

Jun then dusted off his clothes before leaving the clearing where he fought the Chakra Mutated Snakes. As he left, a fox crawled its way out of underbush. Sniffling its way around the blasted bodies of snakes, it slowly sneaked around, sighing in its heart that he had survived the danger. Right at that moment, a big projectile of water struck its head from behind, blasting its brain apart.

"I don't like foxes" Jun commented as he moved away finally.

Jun reached a few cliffs as soon as he exited the forest. He scaled them upwards and reached a few tents that had been set up on one of them. Two people were sitting in meditation outside them. They looked up as Jun jumped up and landed on top of it.

"Finally here huh? Done your daily hunting?" Nazuna got up and asked "You already are proficient enough aren't you?"

"Its fine Nazuna" Jun "I don't want to get rusty."

"That's commendable Jun" Hinoki said "We will now leave for the valley, its within travellable distance now."

After a brief break for food and rest, they left for the valley. Crossing the cliffs they reached an extremely large cliff-wall with two ancient, rustic looking wall fire torches which looked as if they hadn't been lit in a long while.

"Where do we go now ?" Jun

"We have already reached the secret entrance boy" Hinoki "It had been concealed with power of the beast. There is a secret method which would allow entrance."

"Come on grandpa!" Nazuna "No need to be so mysterious!" She then pointed at the old torches and said "We simply have to light those torches don't we? Hmph, being all mysterious." and walked towards them. Hinoki simply smiled and let her do as she pleased.

Nazuna fired a Fire Release towards the torches, "Fire Release : Fire Wave" Two streams of fire blew towards the torches. However something strange happened when the flames reached the torches. The fire elements were sucked into the torches, and the Jutsu disappeared without a single spark remaining on the torches. Nazuna was dumbfounded at this and turned towards Hinoki.

"Hahaha… Did you think it was so easy?" Hinoki laughed at her and replied "If it were so easy, it wont be a secret." Hinoki stepped forward and prepared a Jutsu.

As Hinoki executed it, wind coiled around the torches, slowly seeping into its depths. Flames suddenly burst out from them, startling Nazuna and Jun. As the Flames blazed, a part of the rocky wall of the cliff in front of them turned illusory and disappeared.

"Wow!" Jun exclaimed

"I know right!" Nazuna said, her eyes s.h.i.+ning with excitement.

"Lets go you two!" Hinoki said as he went into the opening in the wall "This opening will only stay open for a while so we need to hurry. Once inside, you ignore everything that is happening around you and only run for the exit that is straight ahead. Okay?"

"Yes!" Jun and Nazuna said.

As they entered, Jun received a message from system

[You are going to enter an illusory High Speed Challenge Map. Although you can bypa.s.s this challenge, would you like to accept it?]

'What Is the benefit?' Jun

[You will be attacked by various Illusory animals inside. However you have to avoid them touching you while crossing the tunnel at high speed. Depending on your speed and the amount of animals you avoid, you will gain points and rewards based on the said points at the end of the challenge. This challenge can be retaken whenever you arrive at this place again. This was initially created as a training ground for some ninjas under experimental conditions.]

'Well ok, lets see what this is about.' Jun said and accepted.

As they went in, the place suddenly transformed into a large straight rocky tunnel. The only source of light were the two ends of tunnel, so the objective was clear. They started running immediately towards the other end.

"I don't see the big deal--" Nazuna commented when a black colored snake jumped towards her from ceiling. Nazuna screamed at the sudden attack and wanted to kick. However Jun grabbed her and burst forward while enhancing his legs with chakra. Hinoki nodded towards them while increasing his own speed. Nazuna struggled for a moment before giving up and letting Jun help her speed up. They avoided as many animal attacks as possible, Bats , Slugs , Insects and Snakes. A few attacks made them bleed and for some reason drained their chakra but the continued despite that. Finally after what felt like an hour, they escaped the tunnel.

As soon as they escaped, Jun received one more message,

[Congrats on your first successful challenge completion. Your score is …. 17/20. You gain instant Chakra Recovery pills that recover 50% of chakra when consumed!]

Jun ignored the reward as he saw his wounds and blood suddenly disappear as they exited the tunnel. He turned inquiringly towards Hinoki who explained.

"That's the power of the beast. Its an Illusion, yet its not as it directly affects the soul. Even your bloodline will offer only minimal protection against its powers Jun" Hinoki addressed Jun directly because he knew of Jun's immunity to regular illusions, hence he clarified his doubts.

"Anyway now" Hinoki clapped to get their attention "Welcome to that Valley of Evil" He said and gestured towards their front.
