372. _For by grace are ye saved through faith_, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of G.o.d. Ephes, ii. 8.

373. But wilt thou know, O vain man, _that faith without works is dead?_ James ii. 20.

374. As the cloud is consumed, and vanisheth away; _so he that goeth down to the grave, shall come up no more_. Job vii. 9.

376. In the beginning G.o.d _created_ the heaven and the earth. Gen. i. 1.

402. There is one body and one spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling. One Lord, one faith, one baptism. _One G.o.d and father of all_, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians iv. 4 to 6.

403. For there is _one G.o.d_, and one mediator between G.o.d and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy ii. 5.

404. Remember the former things of old; for I am G.o.d, _and there is none else; I am G.o.d, and there is none like me_. Isaiah xlvi. 9.
